Tyler Higbee (Chest) Limited Wednesday
Higbee missed last week, so this limited designation is a step forward towards his return. He will likely need a full practice this week if he is going to see the field Week 4.
As reported by: Lindsey ThiryDamiere Byrd (Hamstring) Does Not Practice Wednesday
Byrd has been involved in the offense for the Cardinals’ first 3 games this season, playing 96% of the snaps last week. This is a new hamstring injury that will need to be monitored for the next two practice days.
As reported by: Mike JureckiRashaad Penny (Hamstring) Does Not Practice Wednesday
Coach Pete Carroll had suggested Penny would practice Wednesday, but he ended up sitting out with his hamstring injury, the same injury that kept him out Week 3. Expect him to return to practice tomorrow.
As reported by: Joe FannJalen Ramsey Leaving Team for Birth of Daughter
Flacco will catch a break Week 4 when the Broncos take on the Jaguars, with Ramsey leaving the team for the birth of his daughter. Ramsey had requested a trade prior to Week 3, then played 100% of the defensive snaps. This will be the first missed game of Ramsey’s career.
As reported by: Jacksonville JaguarsAlbert Wilson (Hip, Calf) Limited, Allen Hurns (Concussion) Does Not Practice
Wilson didn’t play the previous two weeks, but he also didn’t practice either of the previous Wednesdays. He is at least progressing and has a shot to return to the Dolphins Week 4. Hurns suffered a particularly brutal looking concussion Week 3, so it would be shocking to see him play this week.
As reported by: Daniel Popper Other tagged players: Allen HurnsMike Williams (Back), Travis Benjamin (Hip), Virgil Green (Groin) Do Not Practice Wednesday
All three Chargers played Week 3, so being held out of practice Wednesday could be partially related to rest and maintenance.

Gordon is ending his holdout and reporting to the team on Thursday. He won’t be playing Week 4, but should be back fully for Week 5. This gives Austin Ekeler one final week as the lead back of the Chargers’ offense.
As reported by: Ian Rapoport Other tagged players: Austin EkelerChris Conley (Knee), Josh Oliver (Hamstring) Limited in Practice Wednesday
Chris Conley hasn’t missed a game yet this season, although he was on the injury report last week with a hip injury. Josh Oliver hasn’t played yet this season, so he will need a full practice to have a chance at playing next week.
As reported by: Zac Stevens Other tagged players: Josh OliverEmmanuel Sanders (Quad), Royce Freeman (Shoulder) Limited in Practice Wednesday
Both players were able to play Week 3, so they should be able to play this week if they make progress over the next two days of practice.
As reported by: Mike Klis Other tagged players: Royce FreemanLeSean McCoy (Ankle) Limited in Practice Wednesday
McCoy was dealing with the injury prior to Week 3, then re-aggravated it during the game. He still put up 80 total yards and two TD’s despite playing just 26 snaps, 11 fewer snaps than fellow RB Darrel Williams. McCoy will never get a huge amount of touches in this Chiefs’ offense, but there will always be great TD potential.
As reported by: Kansas City ChiefsRaiders Release Ryan Grant
The Raiders released Grant on Wednesday. He was a healthy inactive Week 3, and had been very inefficient with his usage the first two weeks. He got 9 targets the first 2 weeks, but only generated 4 catches and 14 yards.
As reported by: Aaron WilsonCase Keenum (Foot) Does Not Practice Wednesday
The Redskins didn’t actually practice Wednesday, instead doing a walkthrough. However, the Redskins estimated that Keenum would not have participated, if they had practiced. Coach Jay Gruden should provide more information later today during his media session.
As reported by: Adam SchefterDanny Amendola (Chest) Does Not Practice Wednesday
Amendola did not practice Wednesday with a chest injury. The extent of the injury isn’t fully known yet, so monitor him the rest of the week.
As reported by: Tim TwentymanToo Cheap For Expected Usage
There were some questions surrounding CJ Anderson’s release and if Kerryon Johnson would see an increased role. Johnson’s role did indeed grow, as he was on the field for 47-of-55 snaps, ran a route on 18-of-34 dropbacks, and handled 20-of-25 runningback carries. Despite Johnson’s increased workload, his price tag actually decreased and he now has a paced up Week 4 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs. Kerryon is simply too cheap for his expected workload and the favorable matchup is just a cherry on top.
Consistent Usage in Posh Matchup
Keenan Allen has had a ridiculous start to the season, averaging 9.67 receptions per game, 134.67 yards, and 1 touchdown. Unsurprisingly, Allen has remained Phillip Rivers favorite target, leading the team with a 36% target share (Austin Ekeler is second at 17%) and a 46% market share of air yards (Mike Williams is second at 24%). There’s little doubt Allen has been the most consistent fantasy receiver through three games and now gets a cake matchup against a Miami defense that ranks dead last in pass-defense DVOA. Xavien Howard, who was supposed to be the bright spot of Miami’s defense and secondary, got absolutely torched last week, allowing a reception on all 5 targets, giving up 70 yards and 2 touchdowns. While Allen is an awesome overall play, I will state this sets up as one of the best leverage spots on the entire season for Mike Williams who saw his field time increase in Week 3, with a 93% snap rate.
