Falcons RB Ito Smith (knee) will be placed on Injured Reserve
The Falcons announced that Smith sustained a knee injury during the win over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 15, and he will miss the remainder of the season, consequentially sending him to injured reserve. This means that Tevin Coleman should get a chance to be the featured back in this Falcons offense for the final two weeks of the season, though head coach Dan Quinn did say that he wants to get an extended look at Brian Hill down the stretch. Still, it’s unlikely Hill will come anywhere close to absorbing the number of snaps Smith saw in the backfield prior to his knee injury.
As reported by: Kelsey Conway via TwitterRB Melvin Gordon (knee) will be limited in Monday's practice; RB Austin Ekeler still in concussion protocol
Head Coach Anthony Lynn shared that Gordon was close to playing last Thursday and would’ve played if that game were on Sunday, thus the Chargers RB1 is looking probable for Saturday night’s matchup with the Ravens. If Ekeler is still unable to get cleared in time, Gordon may find himself in something close to a bell-cow role, with Justin Jackson mixing in. Practice reports later in the week will be key to monitor.

Ware will likely get a questionable tag at some point for Sunday night’s game in Seattle and his practice participation later in the week will need to be monitored. If he remains sidelined in Week 16, Fellow back Damien Williams will handle lead duties for a second straight week after seeing 75% of snaps in Week 15’s win over Kansas City where he accounted for over 120 total yards and 2 touchdowns.

With the Giants now eliminated from playoff contention, it follows that the team will only put their star wideout back on the field if he’s 100% healthy. Apparently there’s a chance of that, and Beckham should be considered questionable for Week 16 in Indianapolis as he continues to recover from a quad injury. If Beckham is sidelined another week, WR Sterling Shepard, TE Evan Engram, and RB Saquon Barkley should all continue soaking up a portion of his targets with the 3 of them combining for over 30 targets in last Sunday’s low-scoring affair.
As reported by: Dan Duggan Other tagged players: Sterling Shepard, Evan EngramQB Nick Foles will start in Week 16; QB Carson Wentz (back) unlikely to play again this season
Foles should lead the show the rest of the way as Head Coach Doug Pederson shared they’ll try to keep QB Carson Wentz “out of harms way” as he deals with a stress fracture in his back. Foles helped keep Philly’s playoff hopes alive on Sunday night in an upset win over the Rams but produced an underwhelming 270 yards with an interception. He does remain extremely cheap however ($6K on FanDuel, $4.7K on DraftKings), keeping him in play as a Week 16 punt consideration, despite the possibility of another game manager-type stat line.

After undergoing tests on his sprained foot, Dolphins’ RB Frank Gore is not expected to play again this season, via Adam Schefter on Twitter. Kenyan Drake did not see an increase in role when Gore went down, instead it was Kalen Ballage who stepped in and received 12 carries and 1 target. He broke off a 75 yard TD run also. More value opens up to end the season with this Gore news.
As reported by: Adam Schefter TwitterTyler Boyd Likely to Miss Remainder of Season
Bengals WR Tyler Boyd suffered a low-grade MCL sprain, Ian Rappaport reports. He could miss time, and with only two weeks left in the season, that could be it for 2018 according to Ian. John Ross, Alex Erickson, Cody Core, Auden Tate, Josh Malone will be the Bengals WR’s this week. We will try to pluck some gold from this group in DFS. Stay tuned to Rotogrinders content this week for analysis.
As reported by: Ian Rapoport TwitterJames Conner Inactive today
Conner is on the official inactive list for Sunday. In a rivalry game vs The Patriots, both teams will likely lean on the pass and Jaylen Samuels was clearly the Steelers’ preferred option last week. Samuels out-snapped Stevan Ridley significantly on last week and even though this is a revenge game for Ridley, Samuels figures to be the back to own in what should be the most watched game of the week.
As reported by: Steelers.com Other tagged players: Jaylen SamuelsDoug Baldwin active today
As expected Doug Baldwin is active today after missing last week’s game. With Seatle’s continued dedication to running the ball, any interest in pass catchers like Baldwin becomes even less of an exciting play. Playing with various injuries throughout the season makes this even less of an appealing spot for Baldwin.
As reported by: Derek Lewis TwitterChris Thomson expected to play
Chris Thompson has been battling an illness throughout the week but appears ready to play vs The Jaguars. With a dwindling role in this depleted Redskins offense, the once-promising Thompson remains a very risky flex option for the week. Fellow teammate Josh Doctson will also join Thompson on the field today. With an implied team total less than 15 points, it’s hard to get excited about any member of this Redskins team.
As reported by: Field Yates Twitter Other tagged players: Josh DoctsonFlacco active as backup to Lamar Jackson
One week after appearing ready to return to the sidelines, Joe Flacco is officially active today for The Ravens. With reports now surfacing about the team’s desire to move on from Flacco after the season, it appears safe to fire up Lamar Jackson in your DFS lineups today. There is still some risk that Flacco could see limited snaps, but at this point, it appears The Ravens are ready to give Jackson the chance as the quarterback of the future.
As reported by: Ian Rapoport TwitterSean Lee returns after multi week absence
The often injured Sean Lee returns to play after missing multiple weeks with a hamstring injury. Lee will join rookie Leighton Vander Esch on what has been a very strong defensive unit this season. The addition of Lee to this defense is a good problem to have for The Cowboys as both players have shown they can impact the game on the defensive side of the ball.
As reported by: Jane Slater TwitterAllen Robinson will play vs. The Packers
The Bears will have their number one wide receiver ready to go today as Allen Robinson is expected to play vs The Packers. Robinson missed some practice time while nursing a bum hip, but appears ready to play in a key game for The Bears. At 7 plus targets a game, Robinson remains a favorite target of Mitchell Trubisky. With only one game above 20 DK points, this season Robinson remains both a low floor and ceiling player for week 15.
As reported by: Brad Biggs TwitterT.Y. Hilton is active today
T.Y. Hilton has not practiced all week but will give it a go in a crucial matchup vs The Cowboys. Having topped 100 yards in 3 out of his last 4 starts Hilton has been on an absolute tear over the last few weeks. Hilton has been as good as any WR of late but it’s worth noting that the matchup vs The Cowboys is less than ideal.
As reported by: Adam Schefter TwitterLeSean McCoy and Chris Ivory both are inactive today
Chris Ivory is the latest Bills running back to add his name to the inactive list. Without McCoy and Ivory, The Bills will lean on Marcus Murphy as their starting running back. With Josh Allen leading the way in terms of team rushing yards over the last few weeks, this remains a hard spot to forecast value for Murphy this week.
