LeSean McCoy (hamstring) is not playing today
McCoy tested out his hamstring this morning is not quite ready to return to action. At this point, we are still waiting on the news with Chris Ivory, but if he were to miss then Marcus Murphy would figure to be the next man up in The Bills backfield, but with Josh Allen leading the way in terms of team rushing yards over the last few weeks, this remains a hard spot to forecast value. McCoy should be ready to go in week 16.
As reported by: Ian Rapoport TwitterZack Martin will miss today's game
Pro- Bowl offensive lineman Zack Martin will miss today’s game. This is the first time in Martin’s football career that he has missed a game. Arguably one of the best offensive linemen in today’s game this is a big blow for a Cowboy’s offense that likes to run the ball early and often. With a playoff spot all but locked up, it’s not a big surprise to see the Cowboys take a conservative approach with Martin’s injury. Martin will be replaced in the starting lineup by Connor Williams.
As reported by: Adam Schefter TwitterMatt Breida, Marquise Goodwin and Dante Pettis are all expected to play
The 49’s offense appears to be a bit stronger this week as the trio of Matt Breida, Marquise Goodwin and Dante Pettis are all expected to play. From a DFS standpoint, the addition of Breida stands to be the move that deserves our most attention. With Jeff Willson filling in last week as the lead back, the addition Breida to this backfield makes it hard to point out a clear source of value. With 4 touchdowns in the last three weeks, Pettis has emerged as the number one wide receiver in this offense. Falling behind Pettis in the depth chart, the speedy Goodwin remains a high risk dart throw in terms of fantasy value.
As reported by: Adam Schefter Twitter Other tagged players: Marquise Goodwin, Dante PettisLeSean McCoy and Chris Ivory are listed as questionable
With somewhat of conflicting news coming out of The Bills camp Sunday morning, it appears that both LeSean McCoy and Chris Ivory are questionable to play this week. McCoy is reported to test out his injuries prior to game time, but is still listed as questionable to play. Marcus Murphy would figure to be the next man up in The Bills backfield, but with Josh Allen leading the way in terms of team rushing yards over the last few weeks, this remains a hard spot to forecast value.
As reported by: Ian Rapoport TwitterT.Y. Hilton a game-time decision for Sunday
T.Y. Hilton has not practiced all week and remains a true game-time decision in a big matchup vs The Cowboys. Having topped 100 yards in 3 out of his last 4 starts Hilton has been on an absolute tear over the last few weeks. In an offense that is not afraid to spread around the ball outside of Eric Ebron, there is no real benefactor to point out in the potential absence of Hilton. Reports have surfaced late this morning that Hilton has a good shot to go this week, but it’s worth noting that the matchup vs The Cowboys is less than ideal.
As reported by: Adam Schefter Twitter Other tagged players: Eric EbronJames Conner (doubtful, ankle) is expected to return for Week 16 against the Saints
Conner has officially been downgraded to doubtful for Sunday but it the Steelers will have him back for a key matchup next week vs the Saints. In a rivalry game vs The Patriots, both teams will likely lean on the pass and Jaylen Samuels was clearly the Steelers’ preferred option last week. Samuels out-snapped Stevan Ridley significantly on last week and even though this is a revenge game for Ridley, Samuels figures to be the back to own in what should be the most watched game of the week.
As reported by: Ian Rapoport TwitterTrenton Cannon (toe) active Saturday
Cannon is officially active for Saturday’s matchup against the Houston Texans after previously being listed as questionable on the Jets’ injury report due to a toe injury. With Isaiah Crowell on injured reserve, Cannon will work behind Elijah McGuire as the change of pace running back following McGuire’s 20-touch performance in Week 14 where he saw 74 percent of the team’s snaps. The Texans defense ranks second in rush DVOA, so McGuire is a pure volume play on the abbreviated two-game slate, but he’s one that can still pay off his affordable salary given his ability to catch passed out of the backfield
As reported by: Brian Costello via TwitterJames Conner (ankle) unlikely to play Sunday
Conner is technically still listed as questionable, but according to NFL.com’s Ian Rapoport, he is unlikely to play in Sunday’s matchup against the New England Patriots due to a knee injury that’s now forced him to miss two consecutive games. However, Conner should be fully ready to go for Week 16 after returning to practice on Friday afternoon. The game script against the Raiders last week was firmly in the favor of Jaylen Samuels, and he out-snapped Stevan Ridley 48-8, putting him firmly at the forefront of the Steelers backfield committee with Conner sidelined. Fortunately, Samuels should be able to rely on his receiving prowess as a solid floor once again in a game that Pittsburgh is unlikely to get out to a big lead.
As reported by: Ian Rapoport via TwitterHeavy Workload as Home Favorites
Mixon saw a heavy workload in Week 14 as he totaled 138 total yards on 26 carries and five receptions. As long as this game stays close (Cincinnati are currently 3-point favorites) Mixon is in line for another 20+ touch game against a Raiders defense that ranks 27th in rush DVOA and has also been poor defending running backs as pass catchers all season long. Mixon stands out as a core play on DraftKings where he’s a mere $6,100 and on Yahoo where he’s priced as RB9.
Matt Breida (ankle), Marquise Goodwin (calf), and Dante Pettis (foot) questionable for Sunday
Breida was limited in practice this week and is officially questionable for Sunday’s matchup against the Seattle Seahawks due to an ankle injury, while Goodwin and Pettis were mid-week additions to the Niners’ injury report and are also listed as questionable with their respective ailments. Goodwin only played on 33% of snaps in Week 14, which leaves some additional uncertainty surrounding his role if he’s able to suit up. However, Pettis has become the clear number one wide receiver on the outside, so his status will be some of the key news to monitor as Sunday approaches, and he remains firmly in play at his low salary across the industry, if healthy.
As reported by: Eric Branch via Twitter Other tagged players: Marquise Goodwin, Dante PettisDoug Baldwin (hip) questionable for Sunday; Rashaad Penny (knee) ruled out
Baldwin was limited in practice and has officially been listed as questionable for Sunday’s matchup against the San Francisco 49ers due to a hip injury, while Penny has been ruled out with a knee injury after not practicing throughout the entire week. The absence of Penny should provide some clarity on the Seahawks running back situation with Chris Carson being the clear lead back and Mike Davis mixing in on passing downs. Tyler Lockett continues to lead the team in targets, but he saw at least six targets for just the second time in the last nine games with Baldwin sidelined for Monday night’s win. Since the Seahawks are such a run-heavy offense, Lockett can’t really be projected for a much higher target share than that even in a plus matchup versus the 49ers leaky secondary.
As reported by: John Boyle via Twitter Other tagged players: Rashaad PennyCarson Wentz (back) officially listed as doubtful for Sunday night
Wentz isn’t expected to suit up for Sunday night’s matchup against the Los Angeles Rams and has officially been listed as doubtful on the Eagles’ injury report due to a fractured vertebra in his back. In his likely absence, Nick Foles will draw the start under center and has obviously proven in the past that he can excel in this offense, though he’s definitely been inconsistent at times. Even with the Eagles currently projected as the largest underdogs of the week, Foles will be an intriguing salary saver on the Thursday-Monday slates or for those dabbling in Yahoo’s one million dollar contest, as they include the Sunday Night Football game as part of their main slate.
As reported by: Jeff McLane via TwitterMatthew Stafford (back) questionable for Sunday; Kerryon Johnson (knee) and Bruce Ellington (hamstring) ruled out
Stafford was limited in practice and is officially questionable for Sunday’s matchup against the Buffalo Bills due to a back issue, while Johnson and Ellington have been ruled out, as expected, after not participating in any practices throughout the entire week. The continued absence of Johnson will enable the committee of LeGarrette Blount, Theo Riddick, and Zach Zenner to continue handling all of the backfield touches, though given the Bills low implied team total and projected game flow, Riddick appears to be the “best” running back option as he’ll likely also see a bump in snaps in the slot with Ellington sidelined. Buffalo ranks ninth in rush DVOA, so this certainly isn’t the spot to target Blount and his 2.9 YPC average, especially with Zenner seeing an uptick in snaps in the Lions’ Week 14 win.
As reported by: Chris Burke via Twitter Other tagged players: Kerryon Johnson, Bruce EllingtonRB James Conner (ankle) practicing Friday; Officially listed as questionable for Week 15
It was a limited practice and Conner’s first since suffering the ankle sprain. He’s still probably closer to doubtful for Sunday’s showdown with the Patriots, but his status will likely need to be confirmed on Sunday now. Jaylen Samuels saw 80% of the snaps in Week 14 including a goal line carry and is still very viable, despite the price increase, in a game with the highest total on the slate.
As reported by: Ian Rapoport Other tagged players: Jaylen SamuelsRB David Johnson good to go for Week 15
Johnson will play on Sunday, where a mouthwatering matchup awaits against a Falcons defense that is ranked nearly dead last in rush defense and has allowed the most receptions and receiving yards to running backs this season. With the Cardinals being large underdogs, look for their bell-cow to be heavily utilized in the passing game.
