Seahawks’ WR Doug Baldwin Highly Questionable for Tonight's Game
Seahawks’ WR Doug Baldwin, who did not practice this week due to a groin injury, is listed as questionable for tonight’s game vs Vikings. According to sources of Adam Schefter, it seems like this is a true game-time decision.
As reported by: Adam Schefter TwitterDoug Martin, Seth Roberts, and Jordy Nelson are active today
Doug Martin, Seth Roberts, and Jordy Nelson will suit up today vs The Steelers. As a double-digit home dog in a high total game, it’s hard to really like any Raider with the exception of Jared Cook in this matchup. With only an implied team total of 20.5, The Steelers defense should be in play vs what has been a very disappointing offensive unit this season.
Other tagged players: Jordy Nelson, Seth RobertsMatthew Stafford and Bruce Ellington are active
As expected Matthew Stafford and Bruce Ellington are both active for today’s game vs The Cardinals. With Marvin Jones out for the year, Ellington has converted 26 targets into 19 receptions over the last three weeks. In a tough matchup on a team with very little to play for, Ellington can be considered a decent source of salary relief.
As reported by: Tim Twentyman Twitter Other tagged players: Bruce EllingtonAlfred Morris active today
San Francisco running back Alfred Morris is active for today’s game vs The Broncos. Jeff Willison will start and carry the bulk of the running back snaps this week.
As reported by: John Daigle Twitter Other tagged players: Jeff WilsonDan Arnold a healthy scratch for The Saints
Dan Arnold is a healthy scratch today for The Saints. With so many pass catching options on the offense, The Saints appear committed to using run blocking TE Josh Hill instead of Arnold this week.
As reported by: NOLA.Com TwitterIsaiah Crowell will play today vs The Bills
Isaiah Crowell will join Sam Darnold and the Jets offense in a tough match vs The Bills Today. With an implied team total of 17.5, the Jets offense remains a place to easily cross off your roster building process for the week. Complicating matters for Crowell is the fact that both Lijah McGuire and Trenton Cannon could potentially share work if Crowell struggles.
As reported by: Field Yates TwitterKeke Coutee inactive today
Houston Texans rookie Keke Coutee will miss his third straight game this week. The absence of Coutee clears the way for an already clear target path towards stud WR Deandre Hopkins. Easily the favorite target of QB Deshaun Watson, Hopkins should once again see 10 plus targets in a great game environment vs The Colts. Without Coutee on the field, recently acquired Demaryius Thomas should also be inline for 4 to 8 targets and makes for an interesting tournament pivot off other chalky wide receivers in the same price range.
As reported by: Texans PR Twitter Other tagged players: DeAndre Hopkins, Demaryius ThomasDanny Amendola is active today
Danny Amendola will return to the field this week in a matchup vs his former team. Amendola has only cracked 15 DK points once this season and still remains both a low floor and ceiling play in this struggling Dolphins offense.
As reported by: Field Yates TwitterQB Joe Flacco is inactive again today.
In somewhat of a surprise move, The Ravens have made Joe Flacco inactive for today’s key matchup vs The Chiefs. Trending towards playing this week, the addition of Flaco made it very hard to trust any thought of playing Lamar Jackson in what could be a great spot vs Kansas City. If game script holds true and the Chiefs get out to a lead, then the unproved Jackson should have to rely more on his arm and less on his ability to run the ball.
As reported by: Ian Rapoport Twitter Other tagged players: Lamar JacksonSam Darnold will start at QB today for the Jets
Jets rookie Sam Darnold will return after a three-week layoff in a tough matchup vs The Bills. Darnold and The Jets offense still remains a safe place to cross off each and every week, and this less than desirable matchup vs a division rival is no exception. Darnold’s return to the field makes this a great spot to look at using the Bills defense that forces teams to both a low ADOT and YAC/R rate. If the Bills are able to get a lead and force the Jets and the mistake-prone Darnold to throw the ball the spot for the Bill defense to get both sacks and interceptions increases.
As reported by: Adam Schefter TwitterJoe Flaco expected to be active as back up QB today
After missing the last three games with a hip injury, Joe Flaco appears ready to return to the field this week. The buzz for most of this week has centered around Flaco perhaps splitting time with Lamar Jackson, and according to Adam Schefter, Flaco is inline to play today as the back up to Lamar Jackson. With so much uncertainty around this quarterback situation, the news of Flaco being active makes it even harder to trust Jackson in what could be a great matchup vs The Chiefs. For now, the best plan of action would be to wait and see how the Ravens plan to use this pair of Quarterbacks. The fact that the Chiefs expect to see both quarterbacks in the game this week does not bode well for either player to get enough action to merit a roster spot.
As reported by: Adam Schefter TwitterColts WR T.Y. Hilton will play vs. Texans
Hilton is expected to play through a shoulder injury today vs The Texans. Listed as questionable for the week, Hilton was able to practice on Friday and should be in line for his normal workload for the week. In what could be one of the more intriguing game environments of the week, if healthy Hilton figures to be a big piece of the Colts offense this week. With the Colts unlikely to run on a very stout Texans defense we can once again look for Andrew Luck to throw the ball a ton this week. Hilton and the rest of the pass catchers for The Colts are in a great spot to perhaps have a spiked game for the week.
As reported by: Adam Schefter TwitterIsaiah Crowell (questionable, toe) is expected to play Sunday
Isaiah Crowell (questionable, toe) is expected to play Sunday, per Adam Schefter. Elijah McGuire would have stepped onto the radar as a far more serious value play, although his intrigue was tied to Crowell’s potential absence. After looking like he may share work with McGuire, Crowell handled the vast majority of the rushing work last week and figures to lead the backfield in a winnable matchup with the Jets. We’ll confirm Crowell’s status tomorrow. Crowell himself is a touchdown-dependent GPP punt.
As reported by: Adam SchefterDoug Baldwin (hip) and Rashaad Penny (ankle) questionable for Monday night
Baldwin has yet to practice this entire week and has officially been listed as questionable for Monday night’s matchup against the Minnesota Vikings due to a hip injury, while Penny is a surprise late addition to the final injury report with an ankle injury. Chris Carson took part in a full practice on Saturday, and he will play in Week 14, which is good news for the Seahawks running back depth if Penny is unable to suit up. As for Baldwin, he is projected to largely avoid Xavier Rhodes in coverage if he plays on Monday night, but he’ll be tough to trust in showdown formats given the injury concerns and the overall low passing volume of this Seattle offense. For reference, Tyler Lockett continues to lead the team in targets but has seen five or fewer targets in seven of his last eight games, which is quite a feat in 2018, where offenses are passing and scoring points at a record pace.
As reported by: Bob Condotta via Twitter Other tagged players: Rashaad PennyExtension of the Run Game
In Week 13 Keenan Allen saw 19 targets as he was used as an extension of the run game with Melvin Gordon out. Melvin Gordon is out again this week and while I don’t expect another 19 target game from Allen, I do think the Chargers lead receiver should easily total double-digit targets in a posh matchup against the Bengals. On a week loaded with strong high end receiving options, Allen stands out as having the highest floor on the slate.
