Jarvis Landry and Antonio Callaway not on final injury report, will play Sunday for Browns
Jarvis Landry and Antonio Callaway are not on the final injury report and will play Sunday. Baker Mayfield will have his top two WRs in action, and if Callaway continues to see the type of target share he’s seen over the past two weeks, it will not be long before he ends up being a GPP difference maker. Callaway had a few chances for big plays against Oakland and his speed will keep his home-run ability high if he’s seeing in the neighborhood of 8-9 targets.
Other tagged players: Antonio CallawayEvan Engram (knee) OUT Sunday
Evan Engram has been officially ruled out for a second consecutive week, which will open up TE duties primarily to Rhett Ellison, but as was the case last week, Sterling Shepard is the big winner among the Giants pass-catchers. He’s firmly on the DFS radar again this week and doesn’t have much competition for targets behind him (and Odell Beckham).
Sterling Shepard (back) not on final injury report, will play Sunday
Sterling Shepard is good to go for Week 5. He’ll operate as the #2 option in the Giants passing attack with Evan Engram still on the shelf, and that led to double-digit targets and a strong DFS stat line against New Orleans. The sledding doesn’t get too much tougher this week against Carolina, but they play at a much slower pace to a team like the Saints, so we could see the Giants play count drop a bit.
John Ross (groin) OUT Sunday
This was sounding more probable as the week wore on, and it’ll lead to more snaps for Josh Malone and Alex Erickson at WR3. Tyler Boyd is locked into the #2 WR role which has proven to be a valuable job in an improved Bengals offense, but we could see CJ Uzomah get a little more involved in the passing attack with Ross and Tyler Eifert out. Uzomah had already been somewhat of a red-zone threat, but should be far more involved while Eifert is out.
Gio Bernard (knee) OUT Sunday
Gio Bernard has been ruled out Sunday due to knee injury. His absence ensures that Joe Mixon will carry the load at RB for the Bengals, and opens up additional passing game involvement for Mixon as well.
Joe Mixon not on injury report, will play Week 5
Joe Mixon is not on final injury report, and will play Week 5 vs the Dolphins. With the news that Gio Bernard is out with a knee injury, Mixon figures to return to his workhorse role out of the Bengals backfield, and also have involvement in the Bengals passing game as well.
No Corey Clement or Darren Sproles at Practice
On their own Clement and Sproles don’t hold much value. However, their absence from a game could boost Jay Ajayi to more carries and make him a very solid play.
