Randall Cobb on Injury Report

Randall Cobb pops up in the injury report with a hamstring injury. Stay tuned for more details Saturday. If Cobb misses time, Geronimo Allison could be an excellent value play in DFS.

Mark Barron, John Kelly inactive for LAR

Not much to note here, but the Rams defense will be without Mark Barron while 3rd RB John Kelly is inactive.

Matt Breida

San Francisco 49ers

Matt Breida (knee) was a full participant in practice on Thursday; should be good to go for Sunday; Marquise Goodwin also practices in full

Matt Breida (knee) was a full participant in practice on Thursday, so he should be good to go for Sunday. He’ll still have Alfred Morris around to steal work, but Breida is clearly the more explosive runner of the two and adds more as a receiver as well. The 49ers offense will look noticeably different without Jimmy G at the helm, so a wait and see approach with the backs is probably smart for Week 4. As for Marquise Goodwin, he should be all systems go for Sunday, but he’ll also suffer from the drop off in QB play.

Dalvin Cook

Dallas Cowboys

Dalvin Cook active as expected; Marcus Peters active for LAR

Dalvin Cook active as expected, with Marcus Peters also active for the Rams. Cook should retake his spot as the lead back, with Latavius Murray back to siphoning work towards the goal-line. Cook may not have all that much room to run against one of the league’s better defenses, but he’s still absolutely on the radar as somewhat of a contrarian play on the Showdown slate given that Todd Gurley should be vastly more popular on the other side (for good reason).

After testing his calf injury pregame, Rams’ CB Marcus Peters is telling the coaches that he wants to play tonight vs Vikings

After testing his calf injury pregame, Rams’ CB Marcus Peters is telling the coaches that he wants to play tonight vs Vikings. This would be some bad news for the Vikings outside WRs, but we’ll still need to see if he’s actually listed as active once we get official injury reports. It’s not a major downgrade to either Thielen or Diggs, but Peters’ is one of the league’s better corners.

Report: Dalvin Cook expected to play on pitch count Thursday night

Though Cook is expected to be active Thursday night, the “pitch count” suggests the hamstring injury is still causing some issues. Keep expectations for Cook low going into tonight’s game with his touches possibly limited against a stout Rams defensive line.

Spencer Ware

Chicago Bears
9/27/18, 5:46 PM ET

Spencer Ware practicing full Thursday

Spencer Ware practiced in full Thursday, suggesting he should be good to go against Denver. Ware has a limited role as a change of pace back behind Kareem Hunt, making him a less than appealing fantasy option.

Jake Butt

Chicago Bears
9/27/18, 5:43 PM ET

Jake Butt out for season with a torn ACL

Jake Butt suffered a non-contact injury in practice today, and the Broncos confirmed he will be out for the season with a torn ACL. Jeff Heuerman is now the primary TE for the Broncos.

Matt Breida

San Francisco 49ers

Matt Breida returns to 49ers practice

Matt Breida returned to a full practice Thursday, suggesting his knee injury won’t keep him out of action this weekend. That said, the 49ers offense suffered a big blow losing Jimmy Garropolo to a torn ACL, so it may be best to wait and see how the offense looks under Christian Beathard before investing too heavily in Breida on the coming slate.

Cameron Meredith

New England Patriots
9/27/18, 5:35 PM ET

Cam Meredith practices in full Thursday

Cam Meredith practiced in full Thursday and appears to be on track to play Sunday against the Giants. Due to the insanely high target shares that both Michael Thomas and Alvin Kamara have had thus far, Meredith is nothing more than a touchdown-dependent GPP flier until he carves out a more consistent role in this Saints offense.

Keenan Allen

Los Angeles Chargers
9/27/18, 5:38 PM ET

Keenan Allen (knee) not practicing again Thursday

Keenan Allen did not practice again Thursday due to a knee injury. His involvement in tomorrow’s practice will be critical as to projecting his availability for the coming weekend – if he is out, that is obviously a huge blow to the Chargers passing attack and offense a whole. It would, however, obviously open up increased opportunity for the rest of the Chargers pass catchers. Keep an eye on Allen’s status Friday, as he is currently one of the biggest names on the slate that appears truly questionable after popping up on the injury report yesterday.

Julio Jones

Philadelphia Eagles
9/27/18, 4:52 PM ET

Julio Jones limited in practice Thursday

Julio Jones was limited in practice Thursday with his lingering calf issue. That said, there is no reason to suspect anything other than a full-go for Julio on Sunday in a favorable matchup against the Bengals.

Randall Cobb

New York Jets
9/27/18, 4:53 PM ET

Randall Cobb limited in practice Thursday

Randall Cobb was limited in practice Thursday with a hamstring injury. Keep an eye on his status for Sunday, as if he is good to go he is in a good spot against a Buffalo defense that has struggled against slot receivers thus far this season.

Rob Gronkowski

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
9/27/18, 4:56 PM ET

Rob Gronkowski limited in practice again Thursday

Rob Gronkowski was limited in practice again Thursday with an ankle injury. Assuming he is good to go, look for him and the Patriots offense to try to get back on track in a favorable matchup Sunday against the Dolphins. Despite the Patriots early season offensive struggles, Gronk still shapes up to be the premier TE play on Sunday’s slate if he is a full go.
