Colts promote RB Jeremy McNichols from practice squad, which may be a bad sign for Marlon Mack (questionable)
We’re trending toward another week of an ineffective 2-man committee formed by Jordan Wilkins and Nyheim Hines. It should be noted that Nyheim Hines emerged with a 70% snap count last week in a game that the Colts were leading or tied for a good portion so if you were going to take a shot this deep, he seems like the better bet.
As reported by: Mike Garafolo Other tagged players: Jordan Wilkins, Nyheim Miller-HinesWR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring/thumb) listed as questionable for Sunday
Hopkins should still play on Sunday as limited practices and his presence on the injury report are par for the course. The Texans’ target leader has a favorable matchup against a Colts secondary allowing the 5th highest completion rate in the league while limiting the big play which is more of fellow wideout Will Fuller’s forte.
As reported by: Sarah BarshopWR Randall Cobb questionable for Sunday
The Packers’ slot receiver is looking like a gametime decision Sunday after suffering a hamstring injury in Thursday’s practice. Cobb has the best matchup of the Green Bay receivers against Buffalo and is priced reasonably across sites so (if he can play) he should be considered despite his disappointing output the past 2 weeks.
As reported by: Rob DemovskyWR Anthony Miller (shoulder) won't play Sunday
It could leave an extra target or two for pass-catchers Allen Robinson, Taylor Gabriel, and Trey Burton in what could not be a better matchup this week against the Bucs’ league-worst passing defense.
Other tagged players: Allen Robinson, Trey Burton, Taylor GabrielWR Keenan Allen (knee) returns to practice Friday
It looks like the Chargers’ best receiver will be all systems go entering a pristine matchup against an overmatched 49er’s secondary missing CB Richard Sherman. The Chargers are projected for more than 4 touchdowns on Sunday, though Allen may need to do his damage in the first 3 quarters if the game blows out – a possibility with QB C.J. Beathard on the other side for San Francisco.
WR Doug Baldwin will play Sunday
Coach Pete Carroll announced that he was “really excited” for Baldwin’s return this weekend and talked up the chemistry he displayed with QB Russell Wilson in his limited practices this week. Baldwin will be a full go on Sunday against Arizona and be a big boost to this Seattle passing offense, particularly Wilson. Tyler Lockett will now be pushed back outside and is probably overpriced across sites this week after averaging less than 7 targets a game without Baldwin.
As reported by: Bob Condotta Other tagged players: Russell WilsonRB Devonta Freeman (knee) out for Week 4
Tevin Coleman will lead the Falcons backfield for at least one more week after averaging nearly a 75-25 split with fellow back Ito Smith the last 2 games. This Bengals run defense, still missing LB Vontaze Burfict, gave up over 200 yards rushing to the Panthers last week while the Falcons are favored in the highest total game on the slate, so Coleman could have a big day at a reduced price from last week.
Other tagged players: Tevin ColemanWR Alshon Jeffery questionable for Sunday
The Eagles WR1 missed practice at the end of this week with an illness after finally returning to limited practice from his shoulder injury earlier in the week. If Jeffery does play Sunday, he’d make for a very risky option with a limited snap count being possible. Fellow wideout Nelson Agholor’s value would also take a hit. Both receivers are priced the same this week on DraftKings heading into a low total game at Tennessee. Continue to monitor Jeffery’s status through Sunday morning.
Other tagged players: Nelson AgholorRB Darren Sproles will not play Sunday; RB Corey Clement is questionable
With Sproles out and Clement questionable, Ajayi may see more work than we thought coming off of a back injury that kept him out in Week 3. At $6,600 on FanDuel and $5,500 on DraftKings he’s probably in play now given the favorable game flow expected with Eagles as 4-point favorites at Tennessee, though he’s certainly at risk of an in game injury. Clement’s status should be monitored through Sunday morning as Wendell Smallwood would end up being Ajayi’s only real competition for snaps at that point.
Other tagged players: Corey Clement, Jay AjayiTE Jack Doyle (hip) ruled out Sunday; TE Eric Ebron is good to go
This was expected after Doyle was unable to return to practice for the second week. Fellow TE Ebron practiced in full at the end of the week and shouldn’t be hindered by the shoulder injury he popped up with on Tuesday. He saw nearly 90% of the snaps last Sunday and should be a nice value once again with Doyle out. Despite a mildly disappointing Week 3, Ebron saw 11 targets and his salary rose by only $200 on DraftKings for Week 4.
As reported by: Kevin Bowen Other tagged players: Eric EbronRB LeSean McCoy (ribs) questionable for Week 4
McCoy vowed to play on Sunday despite being limited at practice all week. If he can suit up, the majority of the backfield work would await him at just a $5,600 price tag on DraftKings, though how much that materializes to is questionable with the team being 10 point underdogs at Green Bay.
As reported by: @BuffaloBillsPRTE Evan Engram (knee) out Sunday
This was expected as Engram was given a 2-4 week timetable. TE Rhett Ellison filled in last week once Engram went down and actually grabbed 3 catches and a touchdown so he could be a deep option. It’s more likely that Engram’s absence will result in a couple more targets each for wideouts Odell Beckham Jr. and Sterling Shepard.
As reported by: Jordan Raanan Other tagged players: Sterling Shepard, Odell Beckham, Rhett EllisonRB Joe Mixon (knee) out for Week 4; RB Giovanni Bernard is good to go
With Mixon out at least one more week, Bernard should be in line for another big workload on Sunday after seeing 17 touches and a rushing touchdown in Week 3. The Bengals Week 4 opponent, Atlanta, allowed nearly 30 receptions in total to Alvin Kamara and Christian McCaffrey in the past 2 weeks and Bernard fits the pass-catching mold of those backs.
As reported by: Jay Morrison Other tagged players: Giovani BernardRB Leonard Fournette (hamstring) questionable for Sunday
Fournette was a full participant in practice today so this bodes well for him playing after the Jaguars exercised caution with their workhorse back in Week 3. Fournette is needed after Jacksonville got limited production from their running game and offense as a whole in a 9-6 loss to the Titans. It’d be a nice spot for him this week attached to a 7.5-point home favorite, though his workload could be scaled back coming off the injury, especially if the game got out of hand. Continue to monitor his status through Sunday morning.
As reported by: Michael DiRoccoJay Ajayi Ready to Play Sunday
Doug Pederson: Darren Sproles just isn’t ready yet. Jay Ajayi is good to go. With Sproles out perhaps Ajayi can get some extra run that he wasn’t seeing previous to the injury. Regardless, it looks like Ajayi is ready to rock as a solid mid-tier option for this week’s slate of games.
