Update: DeVante Parker (finger) INACTIVE Sunday.
Devante Parker’s finger injury will keep him out another week this week as he is inactive for the Dolphins week 2 game against the Jets. Look for Kenny Stills to again lead the Dolphins passing attack, with Danny Amendola and Albert Wilson seeing a respectable share of targets as well. None of these receivers make great options, however, on the road against a Jets defense that looked respectable in their week 1 blowout of the Lions.
Ronald Jones inactive Sunday
For the second straight week, Ronald Jones will be a healthy scratch for Tampa Bay. This is discouraging for his NFL prospects, as Peyton Barber didn’t exactly impress week 1 yet Jones still hasn’t managed active status. He isn’t a relevant fantasy asset for the time being.
Aaron Rodgers active, starting on Sunday.
This is in line with the previous report that Rodgers was going to play on Sunday against the Vikings. This is a tough matchup, but Rodgers and his passing weapons are viable plays on any slate where Rodgers is under center.
Sony Michel expected to play Sunday
Patriots rookie RB Sony Michel is expected to make his NFL debut Sunday, after a knee injury kept him out of action week 1. Especially with the loss of Jeremy Hill for the season with an ACL, look for Michel to be involved early and often this week. That said, he does have to face a stout Jacksonville defense, so keep expectations in check for this NFL debut.
Rex Burkhead expected to play Sunday, barring a pregame setback
Burkhead appears on track to play despite the concussion he sustained week 1 against the Texans. With Sony Michel active as well, Burkhead is nothing more than a GPP play at best given his uncertain workload coming off an injury in a crowded backfield.
Travis Benjamin (foot) unlikely to play Sunday
Benjamin’s absence opens up additional targets for fellow Chargers deep threats Tyrell Williams and Mike Williams. Look for the Chargers offense to have little difficulty moving the ball against a Bills team that gave up 47 points to the Ravens week 1.

Mariota apparently did very little throwing in pregame warmups, per Adam Schefter. It appears more likely that Gabbert starts at this point vs Houston, though no official decision has been announced.

Clowney’s absence is obviously a blow to the Texans defensive unit, though ultimately they still are in play as a great defensive play against a depleted Titans offensive line and some combination of an injured Marcus Mariota and/or Blaine Gabbert.
Greg Olsen aiming for return in 4-5 weeks
Olsen hopes to return in 4-5 weeks from the foot injury that left him on crutches after week 1. In his absence, Ian Thomas is the most likely candidate to see targets at the TE position, though the largets beneficiaries of Olsen’s absence remain Christian McCaffrey and Devin Funchess, who both expect to see an increased target share.
Jaguars add DE Calais Campbell (knee) to injury report, listed as questionable
Campbell is one of the most dominant pass rushers in all of football, so his absence would be great news for Tom Brady and the Patriots offense in general. James White and the Pats backfield would also benefit from the absence, as the Jags defense is less likely to be as successful in general if their star DE were to miss.
Update - Mariota to "try to play" Sunday
Updating a previous report, Marcus Mariota is set to “try to play” Sunday against the Texans. That said, expectations should be low for Mariota behind a depleted offensive line and struggling to have full feeling in his throwing hand. There is still a high likelihood we see both Gabbert and Mariota taking snaps for the Titans Sunday.
Vance McDonald expected to play Sunday
Steelers TE Vance McDonald (foot) is expected to suit up this week against the Chiefs in what is likely to be an offensive shootout. On a week with so much TE value McDonald is nothing more than a long shot GPP play to incorporate into a Steelers stack if you are looking to differentiate your lineup from the field.
LeGarrette Blount expected to play Sunday
Blount was questionable with a shoulder injury but appears on track to play this week against the 49ers. However, after a week 1 performance of 4 carries for -3 yards and a generally abysmal effort from the Lions rushing attack in general, Blount is not a RB to target on this weekend’s slate.
Report: Mariota still doesn't have full feeling in his throwing hand
Though the Titans suggested throughout the week that both Mariota and Gabbert will see reps at QB this week, this news makes it even less clear if we will see much of Mariota at all behind a depleted offensive line without full feeling in his throwing hand. Consider the Texans D one of the stronger defensive plays of the week against this injured Titans offense.
