Million Dollar Musings, Part II - Hitters: Friday, April 21

CheeseIsGood, a two-time winner of a $1,000,000 first place prize in DFS, is here to give you his musings on the upcoming MLB DFS slate. Whether you are looking for the top pitchers or the best stacks, Cheese has you covered with an extensive deep dive into his MLB DFS picks.
Even with all the good pitching on this Friday night slate, there is no shortage of high-end offense. I end up with a little bit of separation in hitting tiers, but you could pretty easily make a case for 15-20 offenses tonight. So don’t worry if your list ends up looking quite different than mine.

It’s not immediately clear where to draw the lines on this slate, but I’ll do my best by separating things into these buckets:
TIER 1-A OFFENSE
Philadelphia Phillies vs. Noah Davis
NY Yankees vs. Yusei Kikuchi
LA Angels vs. Clarke/Yarbrough
Baltimore Orioles vs. Michael Lorenzen
TIER 1-B OFFENSE
Minnesota Twins vs. Trevor Williams
Texas Rangers vs. JP Sears
Milwaukee Brewers vs. Nick Pivetta
TIER TWO OFFENSE
Atlanta Braves vs. Hunter Brown
Houston Astros at Bryce Elder
Toronto Blue Jays at Domingo German
Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Seth Lugo
Seattle Mariners vs. Steven Matz
TIER THREE OFFENSE
Boston Red Sox at Freddy Peralta
SD Padres at Zac Gallen
St. Louis Cardinals at George Kirby
Cleveland Guardians vs. Braxton Garrett
NY Mets at Anthony Desclafani
SF Giants vs. Joey Lucchesi
Miami Marlins at Zach Plesac
OK, NOW WHAT?

Well, that gives us 19 offenses to consider. Yippee! Once we get down into what I have called Tier Two and below, it’s really more just dart-throwing stacks of good lineups against good pitchers. Some of these good pitchers are more of the style where you might pick out individual power bats against, while some are more stack or bust. Let me try to sort those out before moving up to the top tiers.
