Best NFL Week 4 Player Props at U.S. Sportsbooks

A disappointing outing from Jonathan Taylor ruined a perfect props sweep in Week 3. While the record moves to 7-2 on the season, I thirst for another props sweep on a football Sunday rife with potential shootouts. Let’s take a look at player props across legal U.S. sportsbooks as we find some value and continue what has been a profitable prop betting season thus far.

NFL Week 4 Player Props — QB Pick for Jaguars at Bengals

Joe Burrow Over/Under 272.5 Passing Yards (use our FanDuel promo code to get these odds)

The rookie sensation continues to hunt for his first career win after the Bengals and Eagles collectively settled for a tie in Week 3. Burrow, in an overtime contest, broke the 300-yard precipice again but in a far more efficient manner than his Week 3 performance. The Bengals’ signal-called needed 44 passes versus 61 to get there last week.

The Jaguars play very slow and as a result, limit the plays of their opposition. Yet, what they lack in quantity they surrender in quality to opposing passers. Quarterbacks average 8.5 yards per pass attempt against the Jaguars this season. With the Bengals clearly emphasizing the vertical passing game with the rookie, Burrow should see enough work to eclipse this yardage prop and perhaps reach 300 yards again.

The Dolphins jumped on top of the Jaguars early last week — Ryan Fitzpatrick only needed to throw the ball 20 times to score 3 total touchdowns. I do not expect the Bengals to be as efficient on either side of the ball, so Burrow and company should run more meaningful plays. Burrow is an intriguing DFS option that might go overlooked surrounded by so many upper-echelon quarterbacks on the Sunday slate. I will take the over in a potential shootout.

My Pick: Over 272.5 Passing Yards -110

NFL Week 4 Player Props — RB Pick for Giants at Rams

Darrell Henderson Over/Under 67.5 Rushing Yards (use our DraftKings promo code to get these odds)

Guess who is the top-ranked running back by Pro Football Focus? Alvin Kamara? No. Derrick Henry? Negative. Dalvin Cook? Nope. Darrell Henderson is the top-ranked running back by Pro Football Focus. While I am not sure exactly what that entails, I am pretty sure Henderson’s matchup this weekend is about as good as it gets.

As a 13-point home favorite, Henderson should be the focal point of the ground game with the fellow young buck, Cam Akers, unable to suit up for the Rams. While Malcolm Brown will surely be lurking, Henderson saw 20 attempts to Brown’s 7 against the Bills last week. Henderson picked up 114 yards in the process and should see far less resistance against a New York defense allowing 123 rushing yards per game thus far. On the road, the Giants will likely be playing from behind, so Henderson should be in to run out the clock to a Rams’ victory.

Take this number at DraftKings Sportsbook and get a two-yard discount from the FanDuel line. I would jump on this prop before the public reacts to the Akers news and hammers the over.

My Pick: Over 67.5 Rushing Yards -112

NFL Week 4 Player Props — WR Pick for Seahawks at Dolphins

DeVante Parker Over/Under 59.5 Receiving Yards (FanDuel)

For all of the talk about Russell Wilson and his home economics exploits over the first few weeks, the Seahawks’ defense is not getting enough shame for their sieve-like approach to stopping opposing passing games. The Seahawks defense has been downright awful at slowing down opposing offenses — allowing 430.7 passing yards per game thus far. Yes, 430.7. No, that is not a typo, the average is really 430.7.

Ryan Fitzpatrick hung 160 passing yards on the Jaguars last Thursday but the Dolphins took their foot off the gas pedal. DeVante Parker should be one of Fitzpatrick’s most-targeted weapons against the Seahawks and could be in for a tremendously productive day. The first couple weeks were tough sledding for Parker, squaring off with the New England and Buffalo pass defense and averaging only 50 yards per game. Last week, Parker hauled in all five of his targets for 69 receiving yards before the Dolphins could slow down. Going against the Seahawks offense, the Dolphins should not be slowing down for any of the four quarters.

Julio Jones -157 yards. Michael Gallup – 138 yards. Amari Cooper – 86 yards (in the same game). Julian Edelman – 179 yards. Those are some of the totals the Seahawks surrendered over the first three weeks. Yeah, give me the over, stat.

My Pick: Over 59.5 Receiving Yards -112
