Dallas switched some things up last game as I guess they have come to their sense in terms of trying to get a second scoring line going. Jamie Benn and Tyler Seguin have been skating together for most of the season which is why they have each been able to rack up 16 points through 16 games. That is until the other night as Benn found himself with Alexander Radulov and and Gemel Smith while Seguin centered Devin Shore and Mattias Janmark. Martin Hanzal and Jason Spezza have the third line duties and on a short night like tonight could be used as a decent GPP tournament play. The moves worked out well as the Stars could do no wrong as they dismantled the New York Islanders Friday night by a score of 5-0. The defense was spot on as well as the team only let 14 shots get through to goaltender Brian Bishop. Benn, Seguin and Radulov will continue to anchor the top power play unit that has nine times over their last seven games. John Klingberg is the chalk play from the back line tonight as he now leads the team with 14 assists and 18 points through the first 16 games. Esa Lindell and Dan Hamhuis can be looked at as an alternative on the back line if you are looking to save a little salary. Lindell is the choice as he has grabbed four goals and three assists in the early going. Look for the Stars new lines to continue to gel provided that they get the opportunity to do so.
