Sports Info Solutions: MLB DFS Advice for Sunday, June 10th

America’s Pastime and daily fantasy sports are a perfect fit with an overload of data and statistics to analyze before making your lineup selections.
Because of the amount of information available to the DFS player, it can be a bit overwhelming, so I’ve tried to help you out by recommending a number of well-priced options by using Sports Info Solutions’ “SIS Model 3”.
SIS Model 3 gives DFS players an edge when setting their lineups as it uses the most expansive and accurate wealth of baseball data to create a tested DFS algorithm. You can learn more about the development of the algorithm in the RotoGrinders Marketplace.

Pitching Option
1) Ross Stripling (FD Price $8600) – It’s been six starts since Stripling gave up more than two earned runs in a start, yielding a total of four over that span. In the meantime, he’s averaged 12.44 K/9, well above his season average of 11.14.
Hitting Options

C/1B) Mark Reynolds (FD Price $3000)
When Reynolds has gotten a chance to play this season, he’s responded. He’s a .403 wOBA against LHP this year and a stunning .533 wOBA versus LHP at Nationals Park. Verify that he’s starting against San Francisco and lefty Derek Hollands and add him to your lineup.
2B) Ben Zobrist (FD Price $2900
Zobrist has been a solid option over the past two weeks, batting .316 with a .979 OPS over the past 45 PA. He’s been effective against the fastball (7.3 wFB) and opponent Ivan Nova throws a high percentage of fastballs (69.9%).
3B) Anthony Rendon (FD Price $3700)
Rendon hasn’t returned to his production level of 2017 (.394 wOBA), but he’s still been effective (.346 wOBA). He’s hit five of his six home runs against LHP owning a .944 OPS and .387 wOBA versus southpaws.
SS) Marwin Gonzalez (FD Price $2800)
Gonzalez’s bat is heating up with three multi-hit games in his last four starts (1.233 OPS) as he fills in at shortstop for injured Carlos Correa.
OF) Jason Heyward (FD Price $2700)
Heyward has been productive in the eight games he’s batted second in the lineup and with the Cubs going 7-1 over that span he’s likely to stay locked into the No. 2 hole. He owns a .352 wOBA versus RHP and can hit a fastball (6.3 wFB).
OF) Christian Yelich (FD Price $4100)
We’ve saved on our budget elsewhere so we could start a hitter like Yelich. He’s batting .311 this season with a .373 wOBA. The Phillies haven’t figured out how to pitch to him in this series (5-for-10, 1 HR, 4 runs) and righty Zach Eflin isn’t likely to figure it out. Yelich has a .396 wOBA against RHP on the road.
OF) Dustin Fowler (FD Price $2500)
He can’t help you against lefties, but facing righty Brad Keller, Fowler has value. He’s posted a .345 wOBA against RHP and has multi-hit games in three of his last four starts.

UTIL) Travis Shaw (FD Price $3700)
Shaw does his damage against RHP and will face the Phillies Eflin (61.5 % FB) on Sunday. Shaw’s got a .399 wOBA versus RHP and a 9.2 wFB against the fastball.
Stacking Option
When it comes time to draft a fantasy baseball team in DFS, stacking is a widely accepted strategy. There’s a reason: it works. If you want to win big, you will need a gigantic score, and stacking makes it easier to rack up the points because the scoring of batters in a given lineup is interrelated. Batters reaching base allows the hitters down the line to drive them in, creating something of a snowball effect.

Houston Astros – Stacking Jose Altuve (4500), Alex Bregman (4400) and George Springer (4300) along with Gonzalez would be quite a foursome, though you won’t be able to afford an elite pitcher at these prices.
