Donovan Mitchell (ankle) remains questionable on Saturday. With Mitchell out last game, Joe Ingles stepped into the starting lineup and played 27 minutes. However, Jordan Clarkson was the biggest beneficiary, playing over 31 minutes and attempting a season high 19 shots.

Brandon Ingram (hip) and Herb Jones (concussion) ruled out Friday
Ingram has officially been downgraded from questionable and won’t play in Friday’s matchup against the Golden State Warriors due to a right hip contusion that’s now forced him to miss three consecutive games, while Jones also remains sidelined with a concussion. Since Zion Williamson still without a timetable for a return to game action, the Pelicans are now extremely thin at the power forward position with Ingram unable to suit up once again and his absence could elevate Trey Murphy and Naji Marshall into more prominent roles in the rotation with the second unit. However, Garrett Temple will join the starting lineup alongside Josh Hart and Jonas Valanciunas in the frontcourt, and while Marshall has historically been the more efficient producer of the three for daily fantasy formats, head coach Willie Green has seemed to not want to give Marshall extended run despite multiple opportunities to do so.

Jrue Holiday (ankle) available to play but won't start Friday
Holiday strangely wasn’t announced as a member of the Bucks’ starting lineup for Friday’s matchup against the New York Knicks, but he’s active and available to play off the bench, according to head coach Mike Budenholzer, after missing the previous five games due to a sprained right ankle. Even if Holiday is on a minute restriction, his return to lineup is still extremely impactful as George Hill should see his playing time revert closer to normal levels and Justin Robinson could be squeezed from the rotation entirely depending on how many minutes Holiday can play as a reserve this evening.

Hayes popped up on the Pistons’ initial injury report as questionable, and he’s now officially been downgraded to out for Friday’s matchup against the Brooklyn Nets due to a thumb sprain he sustained late in Thursday’s loss. In his absence, Josh Jackson will step into the starting lineup alongside Cade Cunningham in the backcourt, but with the plethora of options head coach Dwane Casey has on his bench to utilize at the wing positions really destabilizes Jackson’s minute floor. However, he has historically been a strong per minute fantasy producer, so he certainly has the upside to post a tournament relevant points total this evening.

Dort has officially been cleared to play in Thursday’s matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers after missing one game due to a right shoulder contusion. Other than adding an extra body to a crowded wing rotation, Dort’s return to the starting lineup doesn’t have too many daily fantasy implications outside of projected minute totals of the ancillary Thunder rotation players. However, his presence will still send Jeremiah Robinson-Earl back to the bench to resume a reserve role, which will enable Derrick Favors to receive another starting nod at the center position this evening.

Following pregame warmups, it was determined that Korkmaz won’t be able to play in Thursday’s matchup against the Detroit Pistons due to wrist soreness. With Korkmaz unable to suit up, the Sixers will now only have nine active players for tonight’s contest, including Charles Bassey and Paul Reed, the former being extremely unlikely to see the court unless there’s an injury to a member of the frontcourt rotation. However, Reed now becomes a much more viable punt option in large-field tournament formats with multiple paths to reaching tournament value, whether it be in the regular rotation, garbage time, or some combination of both.

Assuming Furkan Korkmaz, who is still questionable with wrist soreness, can suit up, the Sixers will only have ten active players for tonight’s contest, including Charles Bassey and Paul Reed, who may not even see the court unless there’s an injury to a member of the frontcourt rotation. Still, Reed is likely see sparing minutes behind Matisse Thybulle and Georges Niang at the power forward spit, but it’s difficult to envision him putting together a tournament-relevant fantasy score without substantial garbage time run this evening.

Embiid has been added to the injury report due to a combination of his knee issues and injury recovery. The Sixers are traveling on a B2B in Detroit, so it’s not that far fetched to imagine he rests in this spot. If he can’t go, Andre Drummond would be set up for another big statistical output while essentially every other member of the Sixers would see increased opportunity.
Furkan Korkmaz questionable for Thursday
Furkan Korkmaz is now questionable for Thursday’s game with Detroit, and his loss would be a big one given the lack of depth on the wing for the Sixers currently. With Isaiah Joe in health and safety protocols, we’d likely see even more fall on Georges Niang and Shake Milton with the starters already being pushed fairly heavily. We’ll continue to update Korkmaz’s status.

Daniel Theis (toe) has been ruled out Thursday. He also sat on Tuesday which afforded Alperen Sengun the chance to start, and we’ll likely see the same group again tonight. Sengun is a potential punt play option, but does have the lowest floor in terms of minutes among the starters. Christian Wood will have a chance to follow up with another big rebounding night.

With LeBron out of the lineup, Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook both immediately become elite high-end plays with more responsibility falling in their lap. Malik Monk is another potential beneficiary in terms of minutes on the wing. Both Dwight Howard and Wayne Ellington are probable tonight, although it’s not a given that Ellington will play even when active. If the Lakers start small – which may be a little less likely with no LeBron – Dwight would be competing with DeAndre Jordan for bench minutes at the five. His path to playing time is clearer if Jordan starts.

Joe has been placed in the league’s health and safety protocols, which essentially rules him out of action tonight. He had not been much of a rotation piece to begin with even given the Tobias Harris injury, so there isn’t a whole lot to go around here.

John Collins (foot) is questionable on Thursday. Collins was questionable on the first leg of a back-to-back last night, and ended up playing anyway. If he were to miss tonight, more minutes would open up for Clint Capela, as well as Reddish, Hunter and Gallinari.
