Tobias Harris (left knee contusion) will play against the Cavs tonight, as expected
Harris will play and start in tonight’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, as expected, after previously being listed as probable on the Pistons’ injury report with a left knee contusion. Pistons head coach Stan Van Gundy stated that Harris is good to go, so he should be fully expected to see his full complement of minutes in tonight’s contest. The Cavaliers have historically defended the power forward position pretty well (9th ranked DvP), but that was primarily with Kevin Love in the lineup, meaning that Harris is set up well to take advantage of a plus matchup for a reasonable price tag across the industry.

Nerlens Noel (knee) and Wesley Matthews (calf) listed as questionable for Wednesday
Nerlens Noel has missed the past three games due to a sore knee and is being listed as questionable for Wednesday’s game against the Wizards. Even if Noel plays, he’ll likely come off the bench, making him too risky in a cash game environment. Wesley Matthews was unable to finish Monday’s game against the Raptors due to a calf injury and is also being listed as questionable. There is a chance if Matthews is out that Noel could start. With so many variables in play, we’ll have to wait until shootaround tomorrow before really feeling comfortable about the prospects of either player.

Curry, Thompson, Green and Iguodala will all be playing after they rested on Saturday against the Spurs. Iguodala will likely continue coming off the bench with Matt Barnes starting at SF. Curry and Thompson both have a usage rate over 30% with Durant out of the lineup and should be considered elite GPP plays against the Sixers tonight. It might be tough to trust them in cash with the Warriors being large favorites and Russell Westbrook being on the slate.

There was some concern the two games in the New York area would be postponed tonight due to heavy snowstorms but the league has announced that the games will be played. All players from the four teams involved will be in play for DFS purposes.

Robert Covington now PROBABLE for 76ers tonight
From out, to questionable, to probable, Covington is now on track to play tonight when the 76ers face the Golden State Warriors. He’s a viable option on this small five-game slate in a game that has the second highest total of the night. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot returns to DFS irrelevance with this news.

The veteran guard has been out for more than a week and will be out yet again tonight when the Cavaliers face the Pistons. J.R. Smith and Iman Shumpert will continue to take up the majority of the shooting guard minutes.

Upgrading our previous report, Covington has now been upgraded to questionable after going through the team shootaround. He’ll be a game-time decision and we’ll update you when we hear more. If he does play, it’s a significant hit to the value of Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot.

The Miami guard told local media that he will play on Wednesday when the team faces New Orleans. He missed the last game with severe swelling in his right eye but appears he will be back in full in a plus match up against the Pelicans.

Allen appears on the injury report on an almost daily basis – he is not a major part of the Pacers rotation and has no DFS impact.

Gibson incurred a hip injury on Saturday and did not return to the game, although the team stated that he was available. He’s going to start and play tonight despite missing practice on Sunday. He’s not a viable DFS option however.

Mozgov is healthy but Los Angeles has decided to shut him down for the rest of the season so they can evaluate their younger talent. He was already out of the rotation so this news has minimal DFS impact.

Plumlee will be inserted to the Nuggets starting lineup alongside Nikola Jokic for tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers in place of the injured Wilson Chandler. With Chandler, Darrell Arthur, and Kenneth Faried unable to suit up, Plumlee and Juancho Hernangomez will almost assuredly play prominent roles in the Denver frontcourt rotation tonight. Hernangomez has flashed immense upside when given the opportunity in the past, so he now becomes one of, if not, the top tournament punts on the late slate. Nikola Jokic was already shaping up to a fantastic option on Monday’s slate, but with Chandler, Arthur, and Faried unavailable, he becomes a lock and load option in a matchup with a Lakers squad that ranks 29th in DvP against opposing centers.

Ty Lawson, Arron Afflalo, and Kosta Koufos will all be rested tonight; Tyreke Evans (ankle) also ruled out
Lawson, Afflalo, and Koufos will all be rested and won’t play in tonight’s game against the Orlando Magic in what the Kings are calling a planned recovery day. Additionally, Tyreke Evans has been ruled out with a sore left ankle despite never appearing on the Kings’ injury report at any point during the day. Afflalo’s replacement in the starting lineup has yet to be announced by Sacramento, but Garrett Temple is the likeliest candidate to receive the starting nod at small forward. The Kings are down to just nine available players, and one of which is the recently recalled Georgios Papagiannis, who has only seen the court in seven games this season. So, realistically, a case can be made for rostering any of the Kings available players, but Darren Collison, Willie Cauley-Stein, and Buddy Hield will certainly be the preferred targets of the bunch.

Clarkson will be inserted into the Lakers starting lineup at point guard for tonight’s game against the Denver Nuggets, which will send D’Angelo Russell to the bench to assume a reserve role. There’s no word on whether this will be permanent lineup change moving forward, but Lakers head coach Luke Walton did state that he and the coaching staff are looking at every opportunity to “try new things”. Clarkson has played at least 33 minutes off the bench in three consecutive games, and if he is able to see anywhere near that type of run this evening, he should have no problem exceeding salary-based expectations in a great matchup with a Denver squad that ranks 28th in DvP against opposing point guards.
