Gerald Henderson (sore left hip) ruled out today
Henderson will not play in today’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers after not being able to participate in Friday’s practice with left hip soreness. This looks to essentially be a rest day for Henderson, as the Sixers have already announced that they expect him to be available to play on Sunday. In the Sixers’ previous game, Nik Stauskas drew the start at shooting guard but was absolutely putrid in 26 minutes of action. So, instead, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot will receive the starting nod on the wing for Philadelphia this afternoon. Justin Anderson played extremely well off the bench in the two games Henderson missed last week, but those games also coincided with Jahlil Okafor’s injury absence. Meaning, all of the Sixers wing players are nothing but tournament dart throws on the early slate.

Derrick Favors (knee) ruled out today today; George Hill (toe) expected to play
Favors will not play in today’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder after previously being listed as questionable on the Jazz’s injury report with a sore left knee that has now forced him to miss two consecutive games. Additionally, George Hill is expected to play in tonight’s contest, according to Jazz head coach Quin Snyder, but his official status won’t be determined until after pregame warmups. Should Hill be cleared to play, he would likely start and send Dante Exum back to the bench to resume his reserve role. Joe Johnson started in place of Derrick Favors last time out and will get the starting nod once again in Favors’ absence. Johnson saw 32 minutes of action in his previous start, so for a low price tag on both FanDuel and DraftKings, he is now one of the better value options on the early slate at a typically shallow small forward position.

Anderson will be available to play in tonight’s game against the Golden State Warriors after being forced to miss one game with a sprained right knee. This news typically wouldn’t be all that noteworthy, but with Kawhi Leonard. LaMarcus Aldridge, Tony Parker, and Dejounte Murray all unavailable for tonight’s contest, there is a strong possibility that either Anderson or Jonathon Simmons draw the start at small forward in Leonard’s place. There’s obviously not a huge sample size for the remaining Spurs players with the aforementioned players off the court this season, but Pau Gasol (30.7%), David Lee (23.0%), Manu Ginobili (26.7%), and Patty Mills (25.5%) all see usage rate differentials of at least +4.8% or greater in this scenario. With all the extra usage and fantasy production to go around, Gasol, Lee, and Mills are shaping up to be cash game staples on tonight’s main slate.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr announced late night last night in his post-game interviews that Curry, Green, Thompson, and Iguodala would all be rested and won’t play in tonight’s game against the San Antonio Spurs for health reasons. It seems that Kerr wants his core players to have these three days off consecutively, as the Warriors do not play again until Tuesday after tonight. The Warriors have yet to announce a starting lineup, but Shaun Livingston, Matt Barnes, and Kevon Looney are the likeliest candidates to receive the starting nods in the big three’s absence. The Warriors are down to just nine available players, so there obviously isn’t a significant sample size with the aforementioned players plus Kevin Durant off the court this season. However, Ian Clark and Patrick McCaw lead the way in sample size and with a 29.1% and 23.1% usage rate respectively.

Jokic will play and start in tonight’s game against the Boston Celtics after previously being listed as questionable on the Nuggets’ injury report with an illness that had forced him to miss two consecutive games. His and Danilo Gallinari’s availability will send Mason Plumlee and Juancho Hernangomez back to the bench to resume their reserve roles, while Will Barton should also be expected to see a reduction in playing time. However, Nuggets head coach Mike Malone did mention that he is unsure just how much playing time Jokic will see in his return given his inability to practice or participate in shootarounds this week. Jokic obviously possesses massive upside in this matchup if he is able to play his full allotment of minutes, but that seems like a big “if” right now. Should Jokic be limited in any way, Plumlee would immediately become an amazing tournament play on the late slate and may be worth a couple shares in tournaments if rolling out multiple lineups.

Evans will be rested and won’t play in tonight’s game against the Washington Wizards. He still isn’t playing back-to-back games, so it was expected Evans would be rested either in tonight’s contest or on Saturday and the Kings clearly chose the former. His replacement in the starting lineup has yet to be announced after drawing the start in the Kings’ previous game, though Buddy Hield or Ty Lawson are the likeliest candidates to get the starting nod. Regardless of starting status, Lawson immediately becomes an intriguing tournament option, as he should be expected to step in and take over Evans’ playmaking responsibilities alongside Darren Collison, even if it is off the bench initially.

Acy will draw the start at center in tonight’s game against the Dallas Mavericks in place of the injured Brook Lopez, who is nursing a sprained right ankle and has already been ruled out. It was expected Justin Hamilton would get the starting nod, but Acy has seemed to have officially surpassed him in the Brooklyn rotation. Acy was already the preferred target over Hamilton given the Nets’ recent minute trends, but now with the starting nod, he is a borderline elite play in all formats on the late slate for near the stone minimum across the industry.

Anderson will play and start in tonight’s game against the Chicago Bulls after previously being listed as questionable on the Rockets’ injury report with back tightness that had forced him to miss one game. The return of Anderson to the starting lineup will send Eric Gordon back to the bench to resume his normal reserve role. Anderson’s playing time has taken a significant hit since the Rockets acquired Lou Williams at the trade deadline, so he would be a borderline tournament option even if he was healthy. Given the added risk of playing through a back injury, Anderson is better off being avoided in daily fantasy formats on Friday’s slate.

Gallinari will play in tonight’s game against the Boston Celtics after previously being listed as questionable on the Nuggets’ injury report with vertigo that had forced him to miss one game. His availability will send Juancho Hernangomez back to the bench to resume role, while Will Barton should also be expected to see a reduction in playing time. Nuggets head coach Mike Malone also said that he expects Nikola Jokic to try to play in tonight’s contest, pending approval from the Denver medical staff. If Jokic is able to suit up, he will replace Mason Plumlee in the starting lineup at center, though it is certainly tentative just how much playing time he will see in his potential return given his inability to practice or participate in shootaround.

Raptors head coach Dwane Casey had refused to confirm whether he would return to the starting lineup for tonight’s contest in an earlier interview with reporters, but Carroll will indeed stick with the starting five at least for now. Carroll’s minutes have taken a significant hit since Serge Ibaka and P.J. Tucker were acquired at the trade deadline, so he is not a viable option, even as a starter. Additionally, his presence in the rotation does diminish the fantasy value of Tucker and Norman Powell, making all three forwards unplayable on a nightly basis.

Malcolm Brogdon and Mirza Teletovic OUT for Milwaukee tonight
Brogdon and Teletovic have both been ruled out in advance of tonight’s game against the Indiana Pacers despite either player officially appearing on the Bucks’ injury report at any point during the day. Matthew Dellavedova will draw the start at point guard in place of Brogdon and is certainly in play as a punt option on tonight’s slate. Teletovic never received an injury designation for tonight’s contest but his status for Friday was definitely unclear after sustaining a hamstring injury in Thursday’s practice. His unavailability in the rotation will likely open the door for Terrence Jones to finally make his Bucks debut this evening.

Tim Hardaway Jr. will reenter the starting lineup on Friday for Thabo Sefolosha, who was late to a team function. This bodes well for THJ’s upside, as he had seen at least 30 minutes in the three contests prior to Wednesday’s game where he was held to 29. He’s been a consistent scoring option for Atlanta in the month of March and figures to climb above the 30 minute mark as the starter on Friday. THJ is a viable option on both major sites, but is especially intriguing on FanDuel at $5,700, where you’re forced to roster two SGs.

Tony Parker questionable for Saturday
Parker was held out of Thursday’s game with the Thunder after playing just 16 minutes in Wednesday’s game with the Kings, and it appears that he is genuinely questionable heading into Saturday’s game with the Warriors. Dejounte Murray played 24 minutes with Parker out on Thursday, and he and Patty Mills will likely continue to split PG duties with Mills being the better upside option off the bench. We’ll provide another update on Parker’s status tomorrow.
