Khris Middleton ruled out for Monday's game in Cleveland
Middleton got his first start of the season Sunday against the Suns. He was relatively quiet, scoring eight points and grabbing seven boards. He replaced Michael Beasley in the starting lineup, but Beasley managed to score 17 points, log seven rebounds and he added a pair of steals. It would make sense for him to return to his starting role on Monday against the Cavs, we’ll find out tomorrow.

Victor Oladipo (back) ruled OUT Sunday
Alex Abrines is expected to start for Oladipo tonight as he did Friday night. It was the first start of the season for Abrines and he delivered: he scored 19 points while going 7-of-13 from the field and added two rebounds in nearly 30 minutes of action. He’s a potential value play on the late slate but it’ll be hard for him to produce a similar scoring effort and he rarely produces big peripheral stats, so he’s a risky bet with limited upside.

Oladipo was able to participate in a light practice Saturday and was seen shooting Sunday. He remains a game-time decision though as the shooting guard is dealing with back spasms. Oladipo was held out of Friday’s contest with the Lakers. Alex Abrines started in his place and did well. He scored 19 points while going 7-of-13 from the field and added two rebounds in nearly 30 minutes of action. He’ll become a potential value option if he gets another start, although he rarely produces peripheral stats, so his upside will be limited.

Lowry is considered day-to-day with a wrist injury but it’s reportedly healing well. Still, he won’t play tonight, which makes DeMar DeRozan an elite option. Per beat writer Josh Lewenberg, in the two games DeRozan has played without Lowry this season, he averaged 39.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 5.5 assists. Fire him up in all formats against a Portland team that ranks 22nd in DvP against shooting guards. Cory Joseph will start at point guard. He’ll be an elite play as well – he’s salary is very low and he’s averaged 34.5 FanDuel points across his two starts this season. He’s our top points-per-dollar on the board on FanDuel and DraftKings.

Jaylen Brown will get the start in his place. Since moving into the starting lineup, Brown has put together a few nice games but on the whole, he hasn’t been a great fantasy asset – across 11 starts since January 25th, Brown has averaged 16.5 FanDuel points. Marcus Smart has continued to log heavy minutes, even when he comes off the bench, and he’s the better fantasy target. His price is a bit high, though, and he’ll have trouble paying it off.

Chandler started six times in February, he averaged 30.6 FanDuel points in those contests. He exceeded 34 FD points in four of the six games. At 6.3k on FanDuel, Chandler is definitely in play tonight. He will have a tough matchup with Memphis, though, which makes him a better tournament option.

Jackson missed Detroit’s early walk through, but participated in the afternoon session. He’s shaping up to be a game-time decision. Jackson hasn’t been playing too great, he’s averaged 20.1 FanDuel points per game over his last 11 games and he’s been pretty inconsistent. That said, he has a decent spot against Boston – Detroit’s implied team total is 5 points above their average (106.5) and Boston ranks 16th in DvP against point guards. He’ll be on the GPP radar, but he’s certainly a risky bet.

Durant was held out of Saturday’s showdown with the Brooklyn Nets due to a contusion on his left hand. Not surprisingly, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson led the team in scoring with 27 and 24 points, respectively. Iguodala also had a decent night, posting a team-high nine assists and 27.9 FanDuel points. Should Durant miss their game tomorrow against Philly, Curry and Thompson would both be exciting targets again and Iguodala could potentially provide a value pick.

His absence will provide some extra minutes for Zach Randolph and JaMychal Green. Randolph would be the player to target as he averages 1.09 FanDuel points per minute and he has some upside. His salary is a bit pricey, but we’re projecting 7.5% ownership – he’s worth consideration in tournaments. Memphis has an implied team total of 107, which is 6.3 points higher than their season average and Denver ranks 23rd in DvP against power forwards.

Faired left Denver’s last game early after injuring his back. It’s not yet clear who will start in his place, but his absence will be a boost to Wilson Chandler, Darrell Arthur, and Juan Hernangomez. Chandler is the most interesting fantasy option of the trio, especially if he gets the start. Hernangomez has started twice in February, scoring 27 points with six triples and ten rebounds in his first, but he struggled to three points and one rebound in his second. When Arthur starts, he generally sticks around 20 minutes of action, so he likely won’t be a great option if he gets the nod. Roy Hibbert is available to make his team debut tonight, but he’s not a viable fantasy play. We’ll update when we get more information on Denver’s plan.

Milwaukee will start providing Middleton more time on the court and they’ll give him the start today. He’s been right around 25 minutes in his past two games; that number should tick up a bit Sunday. So far this season, Middleton is averaging 1.12 FanDuel points per minute off the bench. Given his cheap price, he projects as one of our top points-per-dollar plays on both FD and DraftKings. Per beat writer Charles Gardner, Beasley has averaged 16.5 points across the four games he’s started this season and 8.9 ppg off the bench. Although he’s been playing well, it’ll be tough to trust him to deliver on his salary with a reduced workload.

Ennis isn’t expected to log a lot of minutes Sunday; he’ll be behind D’Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson. He won’t make much of an impact on Los Angeles’ fantasy outlook.

Moore didn’t play last night for personal reasons but he’s set to return tonight. He’ll be the fourth option in New Orleans’ offense going forward. Of course, the vast majority of the team’s production will come through Demarcus Cousins, Anthony Davis, and Jrue Holiday, which doesn’t leave much for Moore and the rest of the squad. Given his price on today’s slate, Moore does offer a decent value but he has a limited upside, which prevents him from being an exciting target. Asik’s absence doesn’t change much for the team’s fantasy outlook.

Reed is dealing with ankle bursitis and the team decided to keep him in Miami to rehab the injury. Reed is averaging 14.7 minutes per game this season, so his absence won’t make a huge difference – our CourtIQ tool confirms Miami’s usage rates and fantasy production remains consistent with him off the floor. James Johnson, Udonis Haslem, and Okaro White could all pick up some of Reed’s playing time. James Johnson would be the one to target, he’s averaged 30.4 FanDuel points over his past 13 games. We should get an update on Reed’s status on Tuesday.

This will be the first game he’s missed all season. Although McCaw is starting, he won’t be a strong fantasy play as he only averages 0.53 FanDuel points per minute. According to our CourtIQ tool, Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson both get huge bumps in production when Durant is off the floor. Curry averages 1.58 FanDuel points per minute (437.3-minute sample), which is an increase of 0.25, and Thompson’s rate is boosted 0.22 points to 1.19 FD points per minute (400.4 minutes). Golden State has a very high implied team total of 127.75 points, which is 9.55 above their season average. However, they’re 21-point favorites against the Brooklyn Nets, so this game is not expected to stay competitive. Even so, Curry and Thompson are great targets against the Nets tonight, they should have plenty of time to do some damage.
