Andrew Bogut and Wesley Matthews both expected to play for Dallas tonight
Bogut has missed the last six games with a hamstring injury while Matthews is battling a hip injury. Both are expected to play tonight when Dallas hosts the New York Knicks. Bogut will likely be limited and is not a viable DFS option and his return cuts into Salah Mejri’s value as his playing time will take a hit. Matthews is still dealing with pain in that hip and while the Knicks are atrocious (28th in DvP) against SG’s, he’s a high risk option given the injury concerns.

Jahlil Okafor and Joel Embiid OUT for 76ers tonight
Embiid was scheduled to miss this game already while Okafor stayed in Philadelphia to rehab his injury that caused him to miss last night’s game for the 76ers. Both hope to return Friday. Nerlens Noel will be a strong play again after a big outing last night with Richaun Holmes also worth a look as a value option.

Bender will be available to play in tonight’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves after previously being listed as questionable on the Suns injury report with a sore right ankle he injured in Sunday’s win over the Toronto Raptors. Bender is not a particularly viable option, even on the late slate, especially with P.J. Tucker and T.J. Warren still relatively inexpensive around the industry.

Emmanuel Mudiay (back) officially ruled out tonight
Mudiay will not play in tonight’s game against the Utah Jazz after previously being listed as doubtful on the Nuggets’ injury report with a lower back injury that has now forced him to miss two consecutive games. Jameer Nelson will draw the start at point guard once again in his absence. Both Nelson and Jamal Murray are viable options on the late slate, but their minute floor may be slightly lower with the return of Gary Harris to the Nuggets lineup. All three guards are certainly worth a look in tournaments despite the difficult matchup with Utah.

Daniels will not play in tomorrow’s game against the Memphis Grizzlies due to a sprained right knee that has now forced him to miss two consecutive games. The Grizzlies plan to list Daniels on their injury report day-to-day going forward. With Chandler Parsons expected to play, Daniels absence from the rotation does very little to affect the minute allotment of the other wing players.

Andrew Bogut and Wesley Matthews are both questionable for tomorrow’s game against the Knicks. Bogut has missed the past six games due to the injury and Matthews has yet to miss a game due to his injury. J.J. Barea is out indefinitely due to his recurring calf issue. The Mavs likely won’t give us an update in regarding Bogut and Matthews since they are officially listed as questionable. Bogut could start in his return and Harrison Barnes could move over to SF if Matthews is ruled out.

Jared Dudley (illness) ruled out for tonight
Dudley will not play in tonight’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves due to an illness. Dudley was replaced in the rotation by Dragan Bender and has only played in one game over the past month, so his unavailability will not affect the rotation whatsoever. However, if Bender currently remains questionable and if he is ruled out, there would be extra minutes available that would likely be disbursed among Marquese Chriss and P.J. Tucker.

Noel will draw the start at center for tonight’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers, meaning that Jahlil Okafor will likely be unavailable to play, but there has yet to be any official word on his status. Now that Noel has received the starting nod, he becomes an interesting option in tournaments, though his ceiling may be limited considering he has yet to see more than 24 minutes in any game this season. The preferred targets on Philadelphia, assuming Okafor does not play, would be Ersan Ilyasova and Robert Covington, as they both see usage rate differentials north of 4.3% and average roughly a fantasy point per minute with Okafor and Joel Embiid off the court this season.
Norman Powell and Jared Sullinger starting tonight
Norman Powell has been officially named as the starter in place of DeMar DeRozan. Norman Powell is averaging 22.85 fantasy points in his seven starts this season. He’s a cheap option but extremely volatile, so he’s based saved for tournaments. Jared Sullinger will be making his first start of the season and is coming off a nice performance against the Suns. He should play over 20 minutes and is a viable tournament option. He’ll be tasked with defending LaMarcus Aldridge so there is a chance of foul trouble.

Leonard will not play in tonight’s game against the Toronto Raptors after previously being upgraded to probable on the Spurs’ injury report with a hand injury. Kyle Anderson will draw the start at small forward in his place and is a fine, but volatile punt option. The Spurs are also without Pau Gasol, Tony Parker, and Jonathon Simmons, and in that scenario, LaMarcus Aldridge leads San Antonio with an astronomical 13.1% usage rate differential, while averaging 1.63 FanDuel and 1.70 DraftKings points per minute. Needless to say, fire up Aldridge in any and all formats.

The merry-go-round continues in the Bulls backcourt, as it now looks like Rajon Rondo will act as the backup PG behind Jerian Grant, leaving Michael Carter-Williams relegated to third-string, a role that might not lead to any court time this evening. It’s a bit surprising to see Grant running with the starters after seeing no court time in three of the past five games, a span over which he’s played a total of 15 minutes. The Bulls PG situation is best left alone for DFS purposes, but Jimmy Butler and Dwyane Wade remain firmly in play as their playmaking ability should be counted on more given the struggles of the other guards.

Evans has officially been listed as questionable for tomorrow’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder due to a sprained left ankle. If Evans is unable to suit up, Tim Frazier may reenter the Pelicans rotation, while there would be more minutes to go around for the likes of E’Twaun Moore and Buddy Hield as well. This is certainly an injury situation to monitor going into Wednesday’s slate.

The minutes vacated by Simmons will likely be absorbed by Kyle Anderson, Davis Bertans, and to a lesser extent, the duo of Patty Mills and Dejounte Murray. Leonard is an intriguing option in tournaments coming off a rest day, as he sees a positive 4.9% usage rate differential (37.3%) with Tony Parker and Pau Gasol off the court this season.

Griffin will play and start in tonight’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers after missing the past 18 games due to knee surgery. Griffin will have his minutes limited in his return but there has yet to be any confirmation from the Clippers of a specific amount. Given the uncertainty surrounding Griffin’s playing time, he is better reserved for tournaments. The upside is certainly there, however, with Chris Paul still sidelined, as he averages 1.43 FanDuel and 1.49 DraftKings points per minute with Paul off the court this season.
