Nicolas Laprovittola waived by the Spurs
The San Antonio Spurs have announced that they have waived guard Nico Laprovittola. He only appeared in 18 games for the Spurs, averaging 3.3 points and 1.6 assists in just 9.7 minutes per game. His absence from the Spurs’ roster does little affect their rotation outside of securing minutes for Dejounte Murray when Tony Parker sits for rest. The Spurs roster now stands at 14 players, but a corresponding roster move has yet to be announced.

Tim Hardaway Jr. (groin) listed as questionable for Wednesday
Tim Hardaway Jr. was a late scratch last night and is now being listed as questionable for tomorrow’s game. Kyle Korver played most of the minutes off the bench in place of THJ but did not really make an impact. Kent Bazemore also failed to make an impact while Thabo Sefolosha continued his cash game ways. Look for another update from the Hawks tomorrow.

Mike Conley has been downgraded due to new toe injury and there is a chance that he does not play with the Grizzlies having played last night. Andrew Harrison would likely start in place and is a viable low-upside play on a short slate. Chandler Parsons will sit out on the second night of a back-to-back and we’ll likely see James Ennis start in his place. Ennis has not gotten extended run since returning from injury so Vince Carter should also see a bump in value.

Damian Lillard was unable to play last night due to an ankle injury and is listed as doubtful for tomorrow’s game. Allen Crabbe started in his place and played 35 minutes. He was still unable to make a huge fantasy impact and that does not bode well for his outlook. Still, we can’t judge him on one game against a team ranked 1st in SG DvP. He’ll face the Kings on Wednesday and should have much easier time. C.J. McCollum scored 41 fantasy points in place of Lillard and will continue to be an elite option while Lillard is out.

Ellis has missed the past eight games due to a groin injury and is listed as questionable for tomorrow’s game against the Wizards. If Ellis does return, there is a chance that he would return to the starting lineup, replacing Glenn Robinson III. Rodney Stuckey returned last night after missing five games but injured his hamstring again. There is not timetable for Stuckey’s return.

The Rockets did not have a shootaround this morning so there was no chance for their starting PG to test out his injured leg. He’ll be a game-time decision and is questionable for tonight’s game against Dallas. If he can’t go it’s an even bigger usage boost for James Harden with Eric Gordon perhaps moving into the starting lineup. We’ll keep an eye on this situation and let you know when any updates come in.

Goran Dragic questionable for Heat tonight
Dragic is dealing with lingering back spasms and is listed by Miami as questionable for their game against the Thunder tonight. Tyler Johnson would receive a big boost if Dragic can’t go and would be a top play facing a OKC team that is 24th in PG DvP. We’ll keep you updated on Dragic’s status when we learn more.

The Dallas Mavericks new big man has missed some time with injury and could possibly return tonight against Houston. If he does return, it’ll be a hit to the value of Dwight Powell and Salah Mejri while Bogut himself would not be a viable DFS option due to probable minutes restrictions. Powell and Mejri could be in play on a small four game slate if Bogut does not go.

Afflalo will not play in tonight’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers after previously being listed on the Kings’ injury report with a sprained right elbow. As for Gay, he has been confirmed as the starting small forward in tonight’s contest and is not expected to be on a minutes restriction. However, rostering a player in his first game back from an injury always carries additional risk. Gay was forced to miss the Kings’ previous six games due to strained right hip flexor. Matt Barnes, Garrett Temple, and Omri Casspi all had their shot at the starting small forward spot in his absence but the trio will find themselves relegated back to reserve roles. Casspi has recently fallen out of the rotation entirely, while Temple has lost playing at the expense of Arron Afflalo. Although, since Afflalo has been officially ruled out, expect Temple and Ben McLemore to see larger roles in this Sacramento rotation on the wings.

Jamal Crawford starting for J.J. Redick (hamstring) tonight; Austin Rivers and Wesley Johnson replace Raymond Felton and Paul Pierce in starting lineup
Crawford will draw the start at shooting guard in place of the injured J.J. Redick for tonight’s game against the Denver Nuggets. In a somewhat surprising move, Clippers head coach Doc Rivers has also decided to replace Raymond Felton with Austin Rivers in the starting lineup at point guard. Felton had played extremely well and averaged a whopping 35.5 minutes in his previous two starts. Perhaps the second night of a back-to-back was enough for Doc to go with the younger Rivers and Wesley Johnson over the grizzled vets in Felton and Pierce. Both Rivers and Crawford draw exploitable matchups with the Nuggets’ back court, making them elite plays on the late slates this evening. as they can be expected to handle more of the offensive load once again in Paul’s absence.

Lillard will not play in tonight’s game against the Toronto Raptors after previously being listed as doubtful on the Trail Blazers’ injury report with a sprained left ankle. With Lillard unavailable, Allen Crabbe will draw the start at shooting guard in his place, while C.J. McCollum will slide over to point guard and will be the primary ball handler and facilitator for Portland this evening. In addition, Shabazz Napier will assume the backup point guard role off the bench, making him a worthy tournament punt as well. With Lillard off the court this season, McCollum unsurprisingly leads the Trail Blazers with a 6.3% usage rate differential (34.5%). Needless to say, McCollum is an elite option in all formats for Monday’s late slates across the industry in an exploitable individual matchup against Kyle Lowry.

Stauskas will be available to play off the bench in tonight’s game against the Sacramento Kings after a one-game absence from the lineup due to a sore left knee. His presence in the rotation will cut into the minutes of Hollis Thompson and to some extent Dario Saric. Neither player were on fantasy radars on an 11-game slate, though the minute fluctuation is worth noting given Stauskas’ return from injury. Joel Embiid stills remains the primary target on this Sixers squad on a night-to-night basis, especially in an exploitable matchup with the Kings’ front court defense.

Gay will reportedly give it a go in tonight’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers after previously being listed as doubtful and then questionable on the Kings’ injury report with a strained right hip flexor that had kept him sidelined for the previous six games. Matt Barnes, Garrett Temple, and Omri Casspi have all had their shot at the starting small forward spot in his absence but the trio will likely find themselves relegated back to a reserve role. Casspi has recently fallen out of the rotation entirely, while Temple has lost playing at the expense of Aaron Afflalo. If Afflalo, who was downgraded to questionable, is ultimately ruled out, expect Temple and Ben McLemore to see larger roles in the Sacramento rotation over Casspi.
