Otto Porter (back) listed as questionable for Friday
Otto Porter was injured and unable to finish last night’s game. Porter is being listed as questionable due to back spasms and if he misses the game expect Kelly Oubre to start. Oubre would be an elite punt option as long as Porter misses the game. On a slate with fourteen games, there will be a plethora of options and if Oubre does not start his ceiling is limited.

Draymond Green (personal) ruled out for tonight
Draymond Green will not play tonight against the Nets due to the birth of his child. His status is unclear for tomorrow’s game against the Pistons and Sunday’s game against the Cavs. Kevon Looney is expected to start in his place but is a low-ceiling player. Looney is expected to start any game that Draymond misses.

Evan Turner will miss his third consecutive game due to an ankle injury. Moe Harkless has stepped in the absence of Turner but Allen Crabbe has not. Harkless is a GPP option for Friday’s game against the Spurs due to the matchup with Kawhi Leonard. Aminu is expected to start at PF and will likely have his minutes monitored. He’ll face a tough challenge against LaMarcus Aldridge and we could see a heavy dose of Ed Davis.

Dwight Howard will miss his third consecutive game due to back injury. The Hawks have started Kyle Korver in both games that Howard has missed so far but that was a total failure last night against the Timberwolves due to their size. Mike Muscala started the second half in place of Korver and could start again on Friday against the Nuggets. Stay tuned for another update tomorrow.

Julius Randle will not play tonight against the Heat due to the birth of his child. There is a chance that he does not play again tomorrow in Orlando. A starter has not been named in his place but signs are pointing towards Brandon Ingram. Thomas Robinson could easily start as well so we’ll keep you posted on this situation.

Oladipo will miss his sixth consecutive game due to a wrist injury on Friday against the Celtics. Anthony Morrow has started in his place but has yet to make a DFS impact. Enes Kanter finally had a big game but that was somewhat expected against a big Pelicans squad that is weak in the rebounding department. Andre Roberson also continued to play well in the absence of Oladipo. He’s averaged 22.3 DK FPTS over his last three starts.

Rodney McGruder OUT tonight for Heat
McGruder was questionable but will miss his second straight game. Wayne Ellington and Dion Waiters continue to remain out as well. Justise Winslow should continue to get a huge workload (46 minutes in double OT on Tuesday) but his upside is limited – regardless he’s a safe cash game option.

Aminu will play in tonight’s game against the Dallas Mavericks after previously being listed as questionable on the Trail Blazers’ injury report with a back contusion. Despite the starting nod, it’s unlikely that Aminu will see a full allotment of minutes, as the Trail Blazers’ coaching staff will want to bring him along slowly. His presence in the rotation does eliminate Meyers Leonard and Noah Vonleh from tournament consideration entirely. As for Evan Turner’s absence, Allen Crabbe and Moe Harkless look to be the primary beneficiaries of additional minutes on the wings, while C.J. McCollum may pick some extra run at point guard with the second unit. All three of the aforementioned players are fine options on the late slate across the industry.

Aminu also remains a game-time decision due to a lingering back issue. If he is unable to suit up, Meyers Leonard is expected to start in Aminu’s place at power forward, though Trail Blazers head coach Terry Stotts’ starting forward carousel has been nearly impossible to predict. As for Turner’s absence, Allen Crabbe and Moe Harkless look to be the primary beneficiaries of additional minutes on the wings, while C.J. McCollum may pick some extra run at point guard with the second unit. All three of the aforementioned players are fine options on the late slate across the industry.

Harrell will draw the start at center in tonight’s game against the Phoenix Suns ahead of Nene, who had started the previous game in place of the injured Clint Capela. This news only cements Harrell as the preferred punt option in the Houston front court, as Nene is likely to have his minutes monitored in the second night of a back-to-back set. Considering this game is the highest projected total of night, feel free to fire up Harrell with confidence in all formats.

Gay and Casspi will not play in tonight’s game against the Utah Jazz after previously being listed as questionable on the Kings injury report. Garrett Temple or Matt Barnes will likely draw the start at small forward, though the starting lineup has yet to be confirmed. Both wing players are secondary options at best, regardless of starter, given the less than ideal matchup against Utah. With Gay and Casspi off the court this season, unsurprisingly, DeMarcus Cousins has recorded an astronomical 43.8% usage rate, which is 5.3% higher than his season average. So, it goes without saying that Cousins remains a viable tournament option despite the difficult matchup with Rudy Gobert and the Jazz defense.

Howard will not play in tonight’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves after previously being listed as questionable on the Hawks’ injury report due to back tightness. This will be the second consecutive game Howard will be sidelined with the aforementioned injury. Kyle Korver will surprisingly be inserted into the starting lineup in his place, as the Hawks, for reasons unknown, have decided to roll with a small ball starting unit for tonight’s contest. One would assume that Mike Muscala will have to play significant minutes off the bench, as it isn’t likely Atlanta will be successful going small against the twin towers of Karl-Anthony Towns and Gorgui Dieng. Muscala would still be tough to recommend as anything other than a tournament punt play, as he has been extremely volatile in limited opportunities thus far this season. Paul Millsap still remains the preferred Atlanta big man to target and will see a slight uptick in usage with Howard unable to give it a go this evening.
