Otto Porter will play on Friday for Wizards
There was a small bit of concern after Porter sat out the second half of their game on Wednesday with a back injury but he will play today and is a viable, albeit risky, option going against a Bucks defense that is 27th in SF DvP.

Trevor Booker and Isaiah Whitehead OUT for Brooklyn tonight
Booker is getting the day off for rest purposes while Whitehead will sit out due to a foot injury. The biggest beneficiary is probably Bojan Bogdanovic but look to Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Justin Hamilton to also see an uptick in minutes.

Randle was expected to miss this game as he is with his fiancee as she gives birth to their first child. Brandon Ingram got the start and played 35 minutes while Luol Deng continued to play well with 34 minutes. You can also look at Thomas Robinson, who thrived in just 18 minutes of play, as a high-risk, high-reward value option.

The Cavaliers reported that Smith had successful surgery and will be out an expected time frame of nearly three months. Iman Shumpert should be the starter in his place.

Nowitzki was questionable last game before being scratched but he is expected to play tonight along with Barea. Bogut remains out leaving Dwight Powell and Salah Mejri to split the center minutes. Both are reasonable value options but have a tough match up against DeAndre Jordan and the Clippers.

The Pelicans have listed their back up forward as questionable due to illness. He’s been performing excellent of late and the two players that would receive an uptick in minutes, Dante Cunningham and Solomon Hill, are definite downgrades in terms of fantasy value.

Hood has officially been listed as questionable for tomorrow night’s game against the Toronto Raptors due to an illness that caused him to miss the Jazz’s previous game. If Hood is ultimately ruled out, expect Joe Ingles to draw the start once again at shooting guard and would be vaulted into consideration as one of top value options on Friday’s slate. With George Hill still sidelined and Dante Exum expected to miss at least a week, Shelvin Mack looks to be in line for a heavy workload and will in play for all formats Friday. Gordon Hayward continues to lead the Jazz with a 34.7% usage rate when Exum, Hill and Hood are off the court this season, which is a 4.4% increase over his season average. Hayward will continue to remain on elite option on most nights while the Jazz continue to play shorthanded.

J.R. Smith (thumb) expected to be out 4-6 weeks
Smith will have surgery on Friday and is expected to be sidelined for 4-6 weeks recovering from the aforementioned thumb surgery. With Smith out for an extended period of time, look for DeAndre Liggins, Iman Shumpert, and Jordan McRae to continue to splitting the vacant shooting guard minutes in his absence. Liggins will likely continue to start for the foreseeable future, though his place in the starting unit is certainly not set in stone by any means.

Gasol has officially been listed as probable in advance of tomorrow night’s game against the Houston Rockets due to a right arm contusion. This injury designation is likely more of a precautionary measure by the Grizzlies’ than anything else and Gasol seems extremely likely to play Friday. However, this news is certainly worth monitoring should Gasol’s status get downgraded for some reason prior to Friday’s slate.

Jodie Meeks (personal) ruled out for tonight
Meeks will not play in tonight’s game against the New York Knicks due to a personal matter. Meeks was forced to leave the team to tend to this matter but is expected to be back with them for Friday’s contest. He has only averaged just north of 17 minutes per game, so his absence does not do a lot to move the needle of the Magics’ rotation, though Mario Hezonja could possibly find his way into some additional playing time. If anything, there is likely to just be a speck of extra usage to be disbursed among the members of the second unit in Meeks’ absence.

Brandon Ingram will start at SF tonight and is expected to play over 30 minutes tonight. Ingram has averaged over 35 minutes in eight starts this season. He’ll be a viable punt option that will be on the floor a ton. The only concern with Ingram is that he’ll be facing Justise Winslow while Luol Deng will be facing Josh McRoberts. Luol Deng should be considered an elite punt option because he’ll likely play over 35 minutes as well. He’ll be facing his former team for the first time tonight. Deng has played 32 or more minutes in 6 of his last 7 starts.

Hardaway Jr. has officially been listed as questionable in advance of tomorrow night’s game against the New Orleans Pelicans after sustaining a groin injury in the Hawks’ previous game. With Dwight Howard also ruled out, there should be extra minutes to go around for Kyle Korver and Mike Muscala, as Atlanta has consistently rolled out a small ball lineup as frequently as possible in Howard’s absence. However, Paul Millsap and Dennis Schroder will continue to be the primary Hawks to target on a nightly basis.

Looney has averaged 11.8 fantasy points in his two starts this season and is averaging 12.82 DraftKings points in 7 games this season that he’s played 12 or more minutes. He’ll continue to be a low-end option and the news of Green being out helps Curry, Durant, and Thompson the most.

Whitehead will not play in tonight’s game against the Golden State Warriors after previously being listed as questionable on the Nets’ injury report with a sore left foot. Jeremy Lin is expected to remain in the starting lineup tonight and ultimately going forward. Spencer Dinwiddie saw 22 minutes in the Nets’ blowout loss to Toronto on Tuesday, and he is a viable long-shot tournament option on this abbreviated slate in hopes that this contest gets out of hand as well.
