Rudy Gay and Omri Casspi both doubtful for Kings tonight
Gay has missed nearly a week with his hip injury and Casspi was a late scratch for the team’s last game due to an illness. Both players are listed as doubtful for Sacramento’s game against Portland tonight. DeMarcus Cousins will be an elite play with an over-the-top usage rate facing a Portland team that is 26th in center DvP.

Capela will reportedly miss at least several weeks after suffering a fractured fibula in Saturday’s game against the Houston Rockets, effectively ruling him out of tomorrow night’s game against the San Antonio Spurs. Look for Montrezl Harrell to play a bigger role in the Rockets’ rotation, while Nene will likely start at center for the foreseeable future. Harrell figures to be the more attractive daily fantasy option of the two big men, especially while his price remains low across the industry.

Kyle Korver will start for the injured Dwight Howard (back) tonight
Howard will not play in tonight’s game against the Oklahoma City Thunder after previously being listed as questionable on the Hawks’ injury report due to back tightness. Kyle Korver will surprisingly be inserted into the starting lineup in his place, as the Hawks have decided to roll with a small ball starting unit for tonight’s contest. Mike Muscala will more than likely still see extended run off the bench, though it would still be tough to recommend him as anything other than a tournament dart throw in a difficult matchup with Steven Adams and the Thunder front court. Paul Millsap still remains the preferred Atlanta big man to target and will see a slight uptick in usage with Howard unable to give it a go this evening.

Barea will play in tonight’s game against the Denver Nuggets after previously being listed as questionable on the Mavericks Injury report. Barea had been sidelined for the 17 previous games with a strained left calf. According to Mavericks head coach Rick Carlisle, Barea will be on a minutes restriction in his return but declined to comment on the exact restriction. Barea’s presence in the rotation, albeit a limited one, is a knock to the projected fantasy value of Seth Curry, though he still remains a viable tournament option on the late slates.

There hasn’t been any word of a minutes restriction for Leuer, meaning he is likely a full go this evening barring an in-game setback. His presence in the lineup is knock to the potential minute ceilings of Marcus Morris and Tobias Harris, relegating them to secondary options in all formats.

Chandler Parsons (knee) listed as questionable for tomorrow; Jarell Martin (foot) probable
Parsons has officially been listed as questionable for tomorrow night’s game against the Charlotte Hornets after missing the Grizzlies previous 17 games due to a bone bruise in his left knee. Despite the questionable designation, Parsons is likely closer to doubtful, but his status will still be worth monitoring going into Tuesday’s slate. The Grizzlies are quickly becoming a difficult team to target given their slow pace and sudden log jam at the wing positions. The imminent return of Parsons to the rotation will certainly do nothing to clear up the murkiness of the situation either.

Oladipo will not play in tonight’s game against the Atlanta Hawks due to a sprained right wrist that has kept him sidelined for the Thunder’s previous three games as well. Anthony Morrow will be inserted to the starting lineup at shooting guard, sending Grant to the bench and Roberson to his customary small forward position. Both Morrow and Roberson are viable punt options in tournaments given the abbreviated slate, though it’s debatable whether either player really has the necessary ceiling. It really goes without saying that Russell Westbrook is the top overall play on tonight’s slate, but Steven Adams also sees a 4.7% usage rate increase over his season average (16.9%) with Oladipo off the court, and he could be a sneaky option despite the less than ideal matchup with Dwight Howard defense.

Smith will be available to play in tonight’s game against the Indiana Pacers after previously being listed as questionable on the Wizards injury report due to a left hamstring injury. Smith’s return to the lineup does lower the minute floor of Marcin Gortat a few notches, but other than that, his availability doesn’t do a whole lot to move the needle in terms of fantasy production for this Wizards rotation. Kelly Oubre will also play in tonight’s game after previously being listed as questionable on the Wizards injury report due to a concussion. His presence in the rotation is slight tick down to the projected fantasy value of Otto Porter, though he is a viable tournament option on an abbreviated slate.

Ellis and Stuckey will not play in tonight’s game against the Washington Wizards, as expected. Ellis will also reportedly not travel with the team for tomorrow night’s game against the New York Knicks, effectively ruling him out for Tuesday as well. Glenn Robinson will continue to start at shooting guard in place of Ellis and is one of the premier value options on Monday’s slate. However, Jeff Teague remains the primary target on this Pacers squad sans Ellis and Stuckey, as he leads the team with a 4.4% usage rate differential (28.6%) when the duo is off the court this season.

D’Angelo Russell was held out of the Lakers previous game due to rest on the second night of a back-to-back. He was able to participate in practice and looks like he’ll be a solid fantasy option against the Hornets. Russell does carry some risk due to the fact that he’s on a minutes restriction. Russell has rarely played over 30 minutes this season so expect his average minutes to stay in the 26-28 minute range. He’ll be a solid GPP play but lacks elite upside until he plays over 30 minutes. Brandon Ingram will go back to the bench with Russell expected to resume the starting PG duties. Ingram has been a lock for cash games basically every time he has started this season because he hits his salary-based projection. He flashed the elite tournament upside against the Cavs and is officially on the radar as a strong play regardless of format when he starts in the future.

New Orleans is bringing Evans back slowly and he will sit out tomorrow’s opening game of a back-to-back. He should be good to go for their Wednesday game against the Thunder but isn’t a viable option with his minutes being strictly limited.
