Al-Farouq Aminu (back) listed as doubtful for Monday
Aminu has officially been listed as doubtful for tomorrow night’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers with a back contusion that kept him sidelined for Saturday’s loss to the Indiana Pacers. Either Ed Davis or Meyers Leonard will draw the start at power forward if Aminu is unable to give it a go, though it’s been nearly impossible to predict Trail Blazers coach Terry Stotts’ starting power forward carousel sans Aminu. It will be tough to pull the trigger on either Davis or Leonard in a tough matchup against Blake Griffin and the Clippers.

Jrue Holiday (toe) and E'Twaun Moore (toe) will play tonight; Buddy Hield remains in starting lineup over E'Twaun Moore
Holiday and Moore will play in tonight’s game against the Phoenix Suns after being sidelined with separate toe injuries in the Pelicans previous three games. With both guards available to play, Tim Frazier will head back to bench to resume a reserve role with New Orleans nearly at full strength. Buddy Hield will somewhat surprisingly remain in the starting lineup at shooting guard over Moore. However, it’s safe to avoid the aforementioned trio of backup guards in every format with Holiday and Moore are active, at least until we get a better idea of Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry’s rotation.

Looney will draw the start for the injured Zaza Pachulia in tonight’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, Looney is likely a starter in name only, just as Pachulia is on a nightly basis. In Pachulia’s absence, the Warriors will continue to utilize the trio of Anderson Varejao, JaVale McGee, and James Michael McAdoo to fill the minute void vacated by Pachulia, though none of the aforementioned players will see enough minutes to make them fantasy relevant barring a Warriors blowout win, especially with Kevon Looney re-entering the mix as the starter after a one-game absence.

Bjelica will not play in tonight’s game against the Golden State Warriors after being listed as questionable on the Timberwolves’ injury report with an ankle injury. Now that Bjelica is officially ruled out, the news still doesn’t do a whole lot to move the needle of the fantasy value of anyone on the Timberwolves bench, as coach Tom Thibodeau prefers to keep a tight rotation and his starters all average well over 30 minutes per game normally. If anything, there may be a few extra minutes for Shabazz Muhammad off the bench, but not enough to make him fantasy relevant on this slate barring a blowout.

Lin has officially been listed as probable for tomorrow night’s game against the Houston Rockets after missing a majority of the regulars season with a strained left hamstring. There has yet to any word of a potential minutes restriction, though it’s safe to assume the Nets will want to ease Lin back into action at the very least, even if there is no strict limitation on his workload. The return of Lin to the lineup is a severe hit to the fantasy value of Isaiah Whitehead, as he will be sent to the bench to resume a reserve role. In fact, he will likely be irrelevant for fantasy purposes once Lin is fully healthy. As for Justin Hamilton, he has been assigned a questionable designation for tomorrow’s contest after missing the Nets’ previous game due to migraines. There wasn’t a clear beneficiary in Brooklyn’s rotation in Hamilton’s absence, as Anthony Bennett and Luis Scola each failed to exceed 15 minutes, meaning his availability does little to affect the fantasy outlook of this Nets squad as a whole.

Chandler has officially been listed as questionable for tomorrow night’s game against the Dallas Mavericks due to a sore right hip that caused him to miss Saturday’s win over the Orlando Magic as well. With Chandler off the court this season, Jamal Murray actually leads the Denver reserves with a 25.4% usage rate. However, the Nuggets backcourt rotation is currently in flux, as Mudiay has been in Mike Malone’s doghouse for his recent poor play. This means that Mudiay, Murray, and Jameer Nelson can only be utilized as long-shot tournament options until we get a clearer picture of the rotation and expected minute allotment. This Denver squad is as difficult to figure out as ever, and everyone outside of Will Barton and Danilo Gallinari need to be reserved as tournament-only options.

Rivers will not play in tomorrow night’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers after failing to pass the concussion protocol earlier in the day. In his absence, Jamal Crawford and Raymond Felton should assume the majority of backup guard minutes behind Chris Paul and J.J. Redick. Even though Clippers coach Doc Rivers confirmed that Blake Griffin would play in Monday’s contest, he has officially been listed as questionable on the Clippers injury report. Based on the information provided, we should approach tomorrow’s slate with the expectation the Griffin will play without any limitations in an outstanding matchup with this exploitable Trail Blazers defense.

Noel and Okafor will play in tonight’s game against the Detroit Pistons, as expected, and will not be on a minutes restriction. Okafor will draw the start at center once agains in place of the resting Joel Embiid. Noel will be making his season debut off the bench after rehabbing from elective knee surgery in the preseason. His return is likely to cut into the minutes of Richaun Holmes, and on nights that Embiid is active, Holmes will almost assuredly be a DNP-CD due to the emergence of Ersan Ilyasova at the power forward spot.

Rodriguez will not play in tonight’s game against the Detroit Pistons due to gastroenteritis, the same illness that kept Jahlil Okafor sidelined for multiple games last week. In his absence, T.J. McConnell will draw the start at point guard in his place, while Sixers coach Brett Brown plans to use Nik Stauskas at point guard in stretches to relieve McConnell, since Jerryd Bayless has also been ruled out. The Sixers draw a difficult matchup against the Pistons, though McConnell and Stauskas can certainly be considered as punt options given their minimal price points around the industry.

Russell is expected to play in tonight’s game against the New York Knicks after successfully participating in shootaround this morning. Russell had been sidelined for the Lakers previous 11 games, and his potential return to the lineup will presumably displace Jordan Clarkson from the starting unit. However, there has yet to be any confirmation of a possible minutes restriction and/or if Russell would immediately be reinserted into the starting lineup. Nick Young is listed as questionable as well, so the availability of the Lakers guards will be one of the key situations to monitor as we approach lock tonight.
