Brandon Rush (toe) listed as questionable for Friday
Brandon Rush is being listed as questionable for Friday’s game against the Knicks. Rush has not even played in the last two games and even if he were available he would not see the court for more than 5-8 minutes. Rush would need multiple injuries in front of him to even be considered a low-end option.

Paul Millsap (hip) questionable Friday; Mike Scott (knee) listed as probable
Millsap is listed as questionable for tomorrow night’s game against the Detroit Pistons with a left hip injury that kept him sidelined for Wednesday night’s contest. If Millsap is unable to suit up, Mike Muscala will likely draw the start in his place once again. Muscala played 29 minutes in last night’s loss to the Lakers, though he was ultimately ineffective. This would be prime spot to go back to well in tournaments, as many players will be hesitant after being let down previously. As for Scott, he is listed as probable for Friday, but that seems to be more of a precautionary designation than anything else. He is fully expected to play.

Jokic is listed as questionable for tomorrow night’s game against the Houston Rockets with a left wrist injury. Jokic had just started to surpass Jusuf Nurkic in the rotation, so this is certainly unfortunate timing for him and us daily fantasy players. If Jokic is eventually ruled out, Nurkic would be the primary beneficiary of the extra minutes available at center, while Kenneth Faried and Darrell Arthur could see some extended run at power forward. This is definitely a situation to monitor going into Friday, as Nurkic would become an elite option for his price around the industry in a juicy matchup with the Rockets “defense”.

Will Barton (ankle) expected to play on Friday
Will Barton is expected to play against the Rockets on Friday. He will likely resume his starting position, sending Jameer Nelson to the bench. Nelson has been playing well in the absence of Barton and will not be a viable option as a reserve. Barton is a tournament option only that got re-injured the last time he tried to play. Since the game is against the Rockets and he’ll likely be defended by Harden, he deserves to considered.

The injury depleted Grizzlies have listed six players as being out for their game against the Magic today. The known outs were Mike Conley, James Ennis, Brandan Wright, and Chandler Parsons while Vince Carter and Zach Randolph were expected to miss the game and that has been confirmed. It’s a thin rotation for the Grizzlies and the likes of Andrew Harrison and JaMychal Green make for excellent options.

Nene Hilario OUT today; will play tomorrow
The veteran big man will be given the day off today for rest purposes when Houston takes on Golden State and will play on the second game of their back-to-back tomorrow. Clint Capela and Montrezl Harrell will both see a few extra minutes tonight as a result.

The New York Knicks will face off against the Minnesota Timberwolves for the second straight game on Friday and the team has listed Noah, Lee, and Thomas as questionable for the game. Kyle O’Quinn started for Noah last game but he’s not fantasy relevant having only scored 2 points in 17 minutes of play (he did manage double digit fantasy points due to 8 rebounds however). If Lee is unable to play on his injured ankle, Justin Holiday and Brandon Jennings should receive a bump in playing time with Jennings being the more viable option of the two.

After having their game last night cancelled due to condensation on the court, Joel Embiid will play tomorrow and have a 28 minutes limitation. Jerry Bayless is listed as questionable – he would have missed last nights game if it had taken place.

Payton hurt his ankle in the Magic’s last game but will play tonight according to Head Coach Frank Vogel. He’ll continue to split time with D.J. Augustin facing a slow-paced defensive minded Memphis team that is 4th in PG DvP (most of that of course with Mike Conley at the position).

Hill will miss Utah’s game tonight against Miami due to a sprained toe. Rodney Hood is also listed as questionable after missing the morning shootaround – we’ll keep you updated on his status. Dante Exum and Shelvin Mack will return to splitting the PG duties they were sharing earlier this season when Hill was out but neither are attractive DFS options in a game that has a total under 190 facing a Heat team that is 4th in PG DvP.

Noel has been rehabbing an injury with the team’s D-league squad and has been recalled to the active roster today. He’s been a fantasy presence in the past but will likely be eased back into the rotation so it’s best to take a wait and see approach. He should take some minutes away from backups like Richaun Holmes.

After mourning the death of his father, Frye will return to action tonight for the Cavaliers when they face Los Angeles Clippers. While there is a bit of a “narrative” with Frye playing tonight and he is lower priced, he’s generally not a viable DFS option as he routinely gets under 20 minutes of playing time (8 of 11 games this season).

The Dallas Mavericks have released their injury report for today and will be missing three of their key players in J.J. Barea, Andrew Bogut, and Dirk Nowitzki. Bogut is the only one that was somewhat unexpected – it’ll be a bump for Dwight Powell and Salah Mejri with him out. In addition, Seth Curry is questionable while Devin Harris and Deron Williams are probable. We’ll keep an eye on Curry’s status and update you later today.

Mike Muscala will start in place of Paul Millsap tonight who is dealing with a nagging hip injury. Muscala should see minutes in the upper 20s to low 30s making him a solid option at a cheap price of $4,000 on DraftKings where the 3-point bonus is in play.

Danilo Gallinari (thigh) starting tonight
Gallo was previously listed as questionable coming into tonight after missing the previous three games so this is a good sign for the Nuggets who have been struggling to keep guys healthy this season. While it is good to see Gallo return for Denver, he is still too risky as a DFS option tonight coming off the injury and with a tough matchup against the slow-paced Miami Heat.
