Jordan Clarkson will start in place of Nick Young (toe) tonight
Brandon Ingram and Jose Calderon started in place of Randle and the also injured D’Angelo Russell on Wednesday and will remain in the starting lineup this evening. Lakers coach Luke Walton’s hand has been forced to insert Jordan Clarkson into the starting lineup solely due to his lack of viable options at shooting guard, despite his desire to keep the second unit as intact as possible. Lou Williams is still a viable play coming off the bench, but Clarkson is our top target on the Lakers for the late slate, as he owns a usage rates north of 30% with Randle, Young, and Russell off the court this season, while producing over a fantasy point per minute in extended action.

Julius Randle (hip) and Nick Young (toe) both officially ruled out tonight
Randle and Young will not play in tonight’s game against the Golden State Warriors after being listed as questionable on the Lakers’ injury report, though they were probably closer to doubtful in reality. Brandon Ingram and Jose Calderon started in place of Randle and the also injured D’Angelo Russell on Wednesday and are likely to remain in the starting lineup this evening. However, Lakers coach Luke Walton has expressed interest in keeping the second unit as intact as possible, so it’s not outside the realm of possibility that Ingram goes back to the bench. Walton’s hand will likely be forced to insert one of Jordan Clarkson or Lou Williams into the starting lineup solely due to his lack of viable options at shooting guard. Whichever guard starts, Clarkson or Williams, will be our top target on the Lakers for the late slate, as they both have usage rates north of 30% with Randle, Young, and Russell off the court this season, while producing over a fantasy point per minute in extended action.

George and Seraphin have been ruled out for at least the next week, meaning that they will miss the Pacers’ next two games. George is dealing with a sore ankle and a sore back, so he should be given as much time as needed by the Pacers’ coaching staff to get healthy. With C.J. Miles also sidelined, Glenn Robinson III should continue to start at small forward in their absences.

Harrison will draw the start at point guard over Mike Conley for tonight’s game against the Miami Heat. Conley will be active and available to play off the bench, though it remains extremely uncertain whether he will actually see the court this evening. At the time of this writing, there still hasn’t been a definitive confirmation of Conley’s status. The Grizzlies recalled Wade Baldwin from the D-League earlier today, only further cementing the possibility Conley doesn’t play in this contest. Memphis is extremely shorthanded, however, with Zach Randolph dealing with the death of his mother and Chandler Parsons and James Ennis remaining sidelined with their respective ailments. There is plenty of minutes and opportunity available for this rotation if Conley is in fact rested, but it is nearly impossible to predict where the production will actually come from with such a small sample size. Any regular Grizzlies rotation player is in play for tournaments on the turbo slate.

Chandler will draw the start at small forward tonight against the Oklahoma City Thunder in place of the injured Danilo Gallinari. In the Nuggets previous game, Juancho Hernangomez was inserted in the starting lineup at small forward, but has already been ruled out of this contest with a sprained right ankle. There will be plenty of minutes to go around for the entire Denver rotation with Will Barton, Gary Harris, and Mike Miller already sidelined with various ailments. A strong case can be made for every Nuggets backcourt and wing player in this matchup, though Jamal Murray and Darrell Arthur figure to be the primary beneficiaries of the usage and minutes vacated by Chandler and Jameer Nelson on second unit. Alonzo Gee may also see some additional run off the bench in an effort to slow down Russell Westbrook, but his playing time will likely mostly come at the expense of Nelson.

Williams will play in tonight’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers and will immediately reclaim his spot in the starting lineup at point guard. His return will displace Seth Curry from the starting lineup, though he figures to still play a key role off the bench for the Mavericks in this matchup and going forward. There has been no confirmation of a minutes restriction for Williams, though he is extremely likely to be limited after an extended absence from a left calf strain. This is a situation to avoid, even on the smaller turbo slates.

Hollis-Jefferson will not play in tonight’s game against the Indiana Pacers with a sore right ankle he injured in the Net’s previous game. Kilpatrick will be inserted into the starting lineup at shooting guard in his place with Bojan Bogdanovic sliding over to small forward. The Pacers will be without Paul George as well, so this contest is likely to remain competitive throughout, making any member of the Nets’ starting five a viable option on this slate.
Paul George (back) ruled out; Glenn Robinson III to start in his place
George has been officially ruled out for tonight’s game against the Brooklyn Nets with a back injury. Glenn Robinson III will draw the start at small forward once again in his place. With Rondae Hollis-Jefferson already ruled out for the Nets, this matchup is even better than normal for the Pacers, as Hollis-Jefferson is Brooklyn’s best defender. Robinson III will clearly be a great value option from a pure workload perspective with C.J. Miles also remaining sidelined. However, Rodney Stuckey could be the sneakier tournament option since he leads the Pacers with a hefty 31.8% usage rate, a 4.5% increase from his season average, with George and Miles off the court this season. He has yet to really convert on the extra minutes and usage but could be in for a big night if his shot finally begins to fall.

Otto Porter and Markieff Morris confirmed in the starting lineup for tonight
Both players are set to start tonight and it doesn’t appear that either will be limited, although Markieff Morris’ nagging injury issues could lead to him seeing slightly decreased run. With John Wall having his minutes limited, Bradley Beal and Otto Porter both become more intriguing DFS targets, especially Beal who has played at least 40 minutes in the past two contests with at least 45 FPs scored in each. As for Morris, he’s priced at just $4,900 on FanDuel, making him a potential GPP punt play with considerable upside against Serge Ibaka, who he dominated in the first meeting between these teams.

Noah will play in tonight’s game against the Charlotte Hornets after missing the Knicks’ previous two games with an illness. According to Knicks coach Jeff Hornacek, he will also be reinserted directly into the starting lineup, though he may have his minutes monitored in his return. Even though Kyle O’Quinn started the last two games at center, Guillermo Hernangomez is most likely to be the first big man off the bench for New York, as he seems to have overtaken O’Quinn in the rotation recently. Neither Hernangomez or O’Quinn have really taken advantage of their increased opportunity and can be easily avoided with Noah active.

The Heat are likely going to continue bringing Tyler Johnson off the bench, which leaves McGruder as the de-facto starter for Goran Dragic. Even as the starter, McGruder isn’t a recommended DFS option on a 14-game slate – he’s not likely to see big minutes, and even if he were to clear 28-32 minutes, he’s not very involved offensively and is stuck in a tough draw against a slow-paced Memphis team. If you are targeting a guard on the Miami side, Dion Waiters and Josh Richardson should be ahead of McGruder in line. None of the Heat are playable in cash games, but Waiters, Richardson and even Tyler Johnson are GPP viable given Dragic’s absence.

Waiters is fully expected to play and start tonight, and doesn’t appear to be limited in any fashion. With Goran Dragic out of the lineup, it’s definitely possible that Waiters picks up some addition shot attempts and ball-handling duties, but this isn’t a spot where you’re going to want to target him heavily. Memphis is among the toughest draws in the league for opposing guards (PGs or SGs), and they’ve also been the 2nd toughest draw for SFs, so there isn’t a whole lot to like here. If Waiters ends up being a viable GPP target tonight, it’ll be a result of volume, not efficiency. He remains a potential GPP target on FanDuel, where he’s still priced around $5K.

It’s a shame the Heat aren’t in a more favorable spot for DFS production, because Dragic’s absence opens up a ton of opportunity on the Miami side. The only drawback is that the production could be distributed to several different players, including Tyler Johnson, Josh Richardson and Rodney McGruder. Johnson is likely to remain one of the first guys off the bench, with McGruder looking likely to draw the start, although McGruder is still the least attractive fantasy option of the three. Josh Richardson and Tyler Johnson are now viable GPP punt plays, but this game should be ugly from a stat-stuffing perspective. The Grizzlies rank 7th in DvP vs. PGs and 6th against SGs.

Miles Plumlee will start in place of John Henson tonight. Plumlee has only exceeded value once in his seven starts this season and is not a viable punt option. Plumlee has only played over 20 minutes once this season. Henson will also lose any viability coming off the bench sharing big man minutes with Greg Monroe. Expect the big man rotation to continue fluctuating as the Jason Kidd has not been able to find a combination that works as the Bucks continue to get outrebounded by the opposing team.
