Dirk Nowitzki and Devin Harris OUT for Mavericks today
The Mavericks are resting their future Hall of Famer Nowitzki while Harris is out to attend to the birth of his child. David Lee likely gets the biggest bump with Nowitzki out. Zaza Pachulia could also get more playing time but he’s hard to trust for DFS purposes, even with the Mavs being severely short-handed tonight. J.J. Barea and Raymond Felton should see all the minutes they can handle tonight with both Harris and Deron Williams out and both are viable DFS options in what should be a fast-paced match up with the Warriors.

Paul George questionable for Saturday
George tweaked his leg yesterday and had to leave the game early. He’s considered questionable for the Pacers game on Saturday. We’ll update his status tomorrow after more information comes in

Patterson missed the last game and is listed as questionable for the Raptors game against Houston tonight. Houston is a sieve on defense against PF’s ranking 29th in DvP agains them so whomever is manning the four for Toronto should be considered a viable DFS option, especially at their price points. If Patterson can’t go, Jason Thompson and Luis Scola would be the biggest beneficiaries. Ross is dealing with a thumb injury and is also questionable. If he can’t go, James Johnson and Norman Powell would likely benefit the most. We’ll update you on Patterson and Ross when we learn more later today.

After sitting out the last game for rest and a sore elbow, Lowry stated that he will play today when the Raptors face the Houston Rockets. It’s a fairly good match up for Lowry, although the Rockets have been tougher against PG’s of late thanks to Patrick Beverley. However, he makes for a nice pivot off the likes of Stephen Curry going against a team that is fourth worst in the league in fantasy points allowed per game.

Randolph will miss the Grizzlies game tonight against the Spurs with a sprained right ankle. JaMychal Green will likely get the start in his place. Green’s price has come down to a more reasonable level due to going back to the bench and some subpar performances, it’s hard to recommend him in a tough match up against the Spurs even with San Antonio resting what seems like half their team. The Spurs are 2nd in PF DvP and 1st in fantasy points allowed per game. Green is a secondary GPP option though as he does have the potential to put up a big game.

KCP missed the Pistons last game due to illness but after taking part in practice yesterday he’s set to go against the Hornets tonight. KCP is one of the more consistent SG options out there having played at least 35 minutes in 12 of his last 13 games with only one game below 20 FanDuel fantasy points in that timeframe. He doesn’t have huge upside as he didn’t top 40 fpts in any of those outings but he’s a great cash game play and is a secondary GPP option at his price tag going against a Hornets team that is 14th in SG DvP. Darrun Hilliard returns to the bench and DFS irrelevance.

Oladipo is 50-50 to play tonight according to Head Coach Scott Skiles – if he can’t go, Mario Hezonja would get the start and would be an excellent value play at SF on FanDuel and SG on DraftKings. The last six times Hezonja has played 25+ minutes he has topped 20 FanDuel fpts each time. Payton is coming off a monster game and his ownership will probably be higher as a result. Going against a Heat team that is 2nd in PG DvP he’s a player to avoid tonight. Brandon Jennings is no longer DFS relevant due to Payton’s return. We’ll update you on Oladipo’s status when we learn more.

Deng had been listed as questionable prior to today but Heat Head Coach Erik Spoelstra stated that he anticipated everyone (outside of Chris Bosh and Tyler Johnson) would be available to play for the team tonight when they take on the Orlando Magic. Deng did take part in the team shootaround this morning. Josh McRoberts, who started for Deng last game and played 30+ minutes, will not be relevant for DFS purposes if Deng does play while Deng himself is a secondary GPP play going against a Magic team that is 21st in PF DvP.

Meyers Leonard will miss the rest of the season after he received a second opinion on his shoulder. Leonard will have surgery to repair damage and should be back healthy next season. Al-Farouq Aminu has been starting for Leonard the last couple games and should be a viable option until his asking price spikes.

Ben McLemore (finger) questionable for Friday
Ben McLemore has missed nine games due to a fractured finger. McLemore will try to return on Friday against the Suns. If McLemore does play, he would need to start to even be considered as a DFS option. Even if he does start, he is still a low-end option since he has been playing terrible all season. Look for an update tomorrow on McLemore’s status.

DeMarcus Cousins should be back in the lineup against Phoenix on Friday. Cousins missed Wednesday’s game against the Timberwolves with a bruised knee. Cousins should be considered an elite option against the Suns. Rajon Rondo has been dealing with multiple injuries all season, but is probable to play. Look for an update on their status tomorrow.

Kobe Bryant is listed as questionable to play on Friday. Metta World Peace will likely start in his place. World Peace is not a strong DFS option on Friday. There were conflicting reports on who the Pelicans would be starting due to the injured nature of their entire squad. Alexis Ajinca and Omer Asik have been confirmed as the starters in the up front. Dante Cunningham will join them. While Toney Douglas and Alonzo Gee start in the backcourt.

Shane Larkin will be making his sixth start of the season on Thursday. Larkin is a viable punt option due to the fact he is starting, but be careful because he has averaged 19.22 DKFP in those five starts. Larkin has scored over 30 fantasy points multiple times this season but has not shown anything against the Cavs. Expect Larkin to be owned more than usual due to the fact he is starting on a short slate. Sergey Karasev is a nice minimum salaried player and should see over 20 minutes on Thursday.

Pelicans will use their 35th different starting lineup against the Pacers on Thursday. With the Pelicans only having eight healthy players, expect all the starters to play near 30 minutes. Toney Douglas will be a chalky play against on a short slate. Luke Babbitt will try to exceed value for the third consecutive game and is a viable punt option with his salary still so cheap ($4,000 DK/$3,800 FD).
