The Spurs will not be resting Tim Duncan, Manu Ginobili, and Tony Parker against the Grizzlies on Friday. With the Spurs playing again tomorrow, the Spurs Big 3 will be rested then. Additionally, they have been ruled out of Monday’s rematch with the Grizzlies. All three players are viable punt options with the Spurs resting Kawhi Leonard, Boris Diaw, and Patty Mills.

J.J. Barea is an elite option with three starters out
The Mavs get a tough match-up with the Warriors tonight, and it looks like they might just be using this as a game as an opportunity for rest. This opens up some opportunities for guys like J.J. Barea who will see a lot of minutes as the new starting PG. Really all the starters for the Mavericks are in play, but Barea really stands out as a top option because of his price and opportunity. He is only $3,600 on DK and $3,800 on FD, but he should see a huge bump in minutes as one of three active guards. He should be a lock in cash games and makes for a great GPP option as well simply because of his potential to crush value due to his spike in minutes.
Bradley Beal (pelvis) expected to play on Friday
Bradley Beal is expected to start against the Timberwolves on Friday. Beal really disappointed in his last game, so there is a chance he won’t be heavily owned. Beal had 11.5 DKFP in 31 minutes, after averaging 29.05 DKFP in his previous two starts. With the Wizards fighting for the playoffs, Beal should continue to see around 30 minutes. Beal is a GPP option only due to the fact his floor can really bust your lineup.

Alan Anderson will miss his seventh game in the last month due to ankle issues. Garrett Temple and Marcus Thornton have been splitting the backup SG minutes, making both extremely risky options on Friday. Bradley Beal is expected to play, making him a nice tournament play at his mid-range price.

Jrue Holiday was scratched late on Thursday but is a game-time decision against the Raptors. With Holiday coming off an injury, it is likely that he will not be heavily owned. Holiday was playing really well before the injury, averaging 45.43 DKFP in his last three starts. With his asking price having reached an all-season high on Thursday, Holiday is a GPP option only on Saturday. Toney Douglas started for Holiday at PG and had 29.8 DKFP. Douglas’ salary also already spiked to $5,400, so confirm that Holiday is out before locking him into your lineups. Ryan Anderson will miss fourth consecutive game while Norris Cole could miss his tenth.

Kobe Bryant was 50-50 for tonight’s game but it has been confirmed that he will start. Bryant can’t be used for cash games at all but is a viable tournament target. Bryant starts at SF, where the Nuggets rank 19th in DvP on the season. The Nuggets rank 23rd in DRE allowed for the season but rank 30th in DvP over the past week. Bryant comes with a ton of risk but hit exactly 5.1x on the back-to-back set earlier this week. Bryant will have to play close to 30 minutes to exceed value.

Nerlens Noel will likely miss his second consecutive game with a sore knee. Noel was a late scratch in his last game and Carl Landry started in his place. Landry played 24 minutes and had 25.9FDFP/26.3DKFP. With salaries already released for Saturday, Landry’s asking price is only $4,200 on DraftKings. If he is able to start again, Landry makes for a viable punt option against the Blazers. Landry is averaging 24.14 FDFP/24.58DKFP in his last five starts.

Marco Belinelli is considered questionable to play tonight against the Suns. Ben McLemore has already been ruled out, so James Anderson, Darren Collison and Omri Casspi could all see an uptick in minutes in a plus match-up with the Suns. We’ll update Belinelli’s status as more information becomes available.

Ben McLemore ruled out for Friday
Ben McLemore will not take the court Friday against the Suns. It’s likely that James Anderson draws another start to help defend the Suns back-court, but George Karl could choose to go back to Darren Collison at SG as well. If Collison draws the start, he’ll be a nice mid-range DFS option in any format. Marco Belinelli (quesitonable) would also see an uptick in minutes if he’s active.

Looney has been ruled out along with Andre Iguodala and Festus Ezeli. James McAdoo and Marresse Speights will eat up the front-court minutes behind Bogut and Draymond Green, but neither McAdoo or Speights are DFS viable at this point.

Price missed shootaround today due to food poisoning, but he’s still expected to take the court tonight. He’s not DFS viable with Brandon Knight healthy and only figures to see around 15 minutes of court time with the second unit.

Kobe’s status for tonight has yet to be determined. He’s played in each of the past two games and has looked relatively healthy, so we’d project him to be a little better than 50-50 to suit up tonight. He draws a fairly good match-up with the Nuggets, although his playing time may be limited and his presence overall makes the Lakers a tougher team to target. If he sits out, the value of D’Angelo Russell, Jordan Clarkson and Lou Williams all rises considerably.

Faried has missed the Nuggets past four games with back soreness and is considered a game-time decision tonight. If he’s unable to go again, Darrell Arthur should continue to start at PF, although he’s underwhelmed lately when given increased run with the first unit. Jusuf Nurkic is also a candidate to see increased court time, although he’s not a recommended DFS option due to the volatility of Mike Malone’s rotations. We’ll update Faried’s status when we have more information.

Holiday’s toe is still bothering him but it’s been revealed that there is no structural damage, so he shouldn’t be far from a return. The Pelicans may be in tank mode at this point in the year and may opt to ease up on Holiday down the stretch, which would bode well for the likes of Toney Douglas and Tim Frazier. Both would be strong DFS targets if Holiday were to sit out tomorrow. Assuming Norris Cole isn’t able to return, those two would be the only true guards on the active roster.

The Mavs will be extremely short-handed taking on the Golden State Warriors as Williams has also been ruled out in addition to Dirk Nowitzki and Devin Harris. It’s a big bump for the likes of J.J. Barea and Raymond Felton who are both priced under $4k and are in play going against a Warriors team that is 26th in PG DvP. If you’re looking for a punt option, those two are definitely in play.
