Marcin Gortat (back) returns to the starting lineup
Marcin Gortat did not start last night due to a sore back but did play off the bench. He only played 18 minutes but could dominate inside tonight. The Sixers are ranked 30th in DvP against centers and Gortat is averaging 41.6 FDFP in three games against them this season. Gortat is a tournament option only due to the fact that his back could cause him to be limited.

Gordon Hayward ruled out for Thursday
Gordon Hayward will not take the court against the Suns tonight. We’re still dealing with a small sample size here, but Shelvin Mack’s usage rate sits at 32% without Hayward on the floor (same with Derrick Favors), making him an elite punt play tonight. Rodney Hood should also see his shot attempts rise against a beatable Phoenix back-court, making him a viable mid-range play in any format. Favors is also playable across the board. Joe Ingles will likely start for Hayward, putting him in the discussion among minimum priced punt plays.

Kenneth Faried (back) leaning towards doubtful; Update coming soon
Kenneth Faried is likely going to miss this game due to his sore back. Darrell Arthur is averaging 28.81 DKFP in ten starts this season, so he should see a nice boost if Faried is ruled out. Arthur is under $4k on both major sites making it easy to fit him into your lineups.

Kyle Lowry will play the first leg of a back-to-back against the Pacers. DeMar DeRozan is also in the starting lineup. There was some speculation that either player could be rested. There is a chance for them to be rested tomorrow and we will update you if that’s the case.

Jordan Hill has been confirmed as the replacement starter for Ian Mahinmi. If Hill can secure 30 minutes, he should be able to exceed value with his salary listed at $3,900 salary on both major sites. Myles Turner and Lavoy Allen should also see a boost in value with Ian Mahinmi out of the lineup.

Gibson is apparently feeling better and is now considered a game-time decision for tonight. He’ll see how he feels during pre-game warm-ups and word on his availability should come shortly after. If he’s unable to go, Bobby Portis becomes a very strong punt play while Nikola Mirotic’s value also spikes slightly. If Gibson goes, Portis is a low-end punt play while Mirotic would remain in play for GPPs. Gibson himself would be a risky target but he does possess upside if his minutes aren’t restricted.

Kent Bazemore has been ruled out with a sore knee but is not expected to miss more than one game. Tim Hardaway Jr. will start in his place and is a minimum salaried player on both major sites. THJ relies heavily on scoring for his fantasy output, making him a tournament option only. Thabo Sefolosha will be the backup at SF and could be the better fantasy play. Sefolosha is averaging 26.2 DKFP over his last three games.

Jonas Valanciunas is out against the Pacers on Thursday. Bismack Biyombo will start in his place again and is a good punt play even though his salary has spiked slightly. Biyombo is averaging 30.4 DKFP in about 25 minutes over his last two games. Biyombo will likely be heavily owned due to his consecutive good games.

Bradley Beal and Alan Anderson have both been ruled out of Thursday’s contest with the Sixers. Garrett Temple will likely start in Beal’s place and is a viable punt option. Temple’s salary is only $3,300 on DraftKings and had 33 DKFP last night. While we can’t project him to score that many again, Temple does provide some salary relief against a team ranked 18th in DvP against shooting guards.

C.J. Miles will be back in the lineup after missing one game due to an illness. Miles is a risky tournament target and is known to get hot randomly. Miles has not exceeded value since early February so proceed with caution. Miles salary is sub-$4k on both major sites so he does have some upside and tournament appeal.

Jerami Grant will return to the starting lineup after missing two games with a concussion. Grant’s salary has spiked considerably since his first start six games ago. Due to the spike, Grant is now a mid-range option but could play well on Thursday. The Wizards are traveling to Philadelphia on the second night of a back-to-back and are known to get torched by wing players. Making Grant a viable tournament target on an eight-game slate.

Ty Lawson will be available but Pacers Coach Frank Vogel said “It’s unlikely we’ll use him. I’d like him to get another practice under his belt.” Rodney Stuckey and C.J. Miles will play off the bench but both players are low-end DFS options. Stuckey is averaging about 18 minutes in his last five games, making him a risky play.

Cameron Bairstow will miss his seventh consecutive game with a bad back. Bairstow was not a DFS option and his absence opens up time for Cristiano Da Silva Felicio. Felicio is also a risky DFS play and has only exceeded 6x on DraftKings once this season. With so many Bulls injured, Bobby Portis becomes the likely candidate to break out. Still, Portis’ value will depend on Taj Gibson’s status.

Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler are both listed as probable after playing against Wizards on Wednesday. Both players are dealing with injuries so their minutes could be limited against the lowly Nets. Neither player was able to exceed value on their salary so they are not viable for cash games in this contest. They could be under-owned making them viable tournament targets on an eight-game slate.
