Zach Randolph doubtful; Matt Barnes probable for Grizzlies tonight
Randolph was upgraded from out to doubtful but it’s still unlikely he will play tonight when the Grizzlies take on the Boston Celtics. Head Coach Dave Joerger stated he expects Matt Barnes to play. If Randolph is unable to go again, expect JaMychal Green to pick up the slack and be one of the highest owned players on the slate after putting up a monster game the last time the Grizzlies played. Factor in Boston’s porous defense against bigs and it’s hard to find a reason to not roster Green if Randolph doesn’t play. We’ll update the status of Randolph as soon as we learn more.

76ers injury report for today's game; Okafor confirmed as out
It has been confirmed that as announced yesterday, Jahlil Okafor will not play tonight for the 76ers when they take on the Houston Rockets. Nik Stauskas and Kendall Marshall are both probable and expected to play. The big news is Okafor sitting as it opens up the possibility of a big game for Nerlens Noel, whose usage goes up slightly when Okafor is not on the court (from 16% to 18% according to RG’s CourtIQ), and perhaps more so Ish Smith whose usage climbs from 26% to 33% when Okafor is not on the court. Jerami Grant will also get a bump and is a strong play as well going against a Rockets team that is 27th in the league in fantasy points allowed per game. Stauskas and Marshall are not viable DFS options.

Waiters is mourning the death of a family member and will miss the Thunder’s game against the Clippers tonight. Waiters himself was not a viable DFS option but his absence does mean Andre Roberson will likely get all the minutes he can handle and at a minimum salary price tag across the industry he could make for a value play on a night where plenty of big stars are in action, especially considering how weak SG is outside of James Harden. Waiters doesn’t have a ton of upside but he is capable of putting up 15-20 fantasy points while allowing you to roster some studs.

Ben McLemore fractured his finger last night against the Pelicans and is questionable for Wednesday. Marco Belinelli will likely start in his place but has been in a slump lately. With Belinelli’s salary sub $4k on both major sites, he should be considered a decent punt option against the Cavs. Look for an update regarding McLemore’s status tomorrow after shootaround.

Nikola Vucevic (groin) out tonight; Jason Smith to start
Nikola Vucevic will miss his second consecutive game with a groin injury. Jason Smith will start in his place and should be considered an elite punt option with his minimum salary on DK. Smith had 21 DKFP last night and should be able to exceed value against the Lakers tonight.

Lance Thomas will be out tonight against the Nuggets. Thomas had played over 20 minute in eight consecutive games but rarely made any DFS impact. Derrick Williams will likely pick up the minutes left by Thomas, backing up both Kristaps Porzingis and Carmelo Anthony. Playing against his former team with Phil Jackson in the building, Anthony should continue his extremely hot play. Anthony is averaging 45.78 DKFP over his last five games, with a 50 burger in his last outing.

Kristaps Porzingis will be back in the starting lineup tonight against the Nuggets. Porzingis will likely be an under-owned option but he presents a low floor. Derrick Williams will go back to the bench and is only a viable option in tournaments.

Eric Gordon has been ruled out for the rest of the season after undergoing successful surgery on his finger. Jrue Holiday replaced him in the starting lineup and should be considered a strong play for the rest of the season.

Kobe Bryant has officially been ruled out with a sore shoulder and Nick Young is expected to start in his place. Young exceeded value in his previous game but is a scoring dependent player. Young is a low-end GPP option with Bryant out of the lineup. D’Angelo Russell and Jordan Clarkson should be able to excel again tonight. The Magic are 24th in DvP against PGs, making Russell an elite option.

Jason Thompson will be making his first start for the Raptors tonight in place of Luis Scola. Thompson is a GPP play tonight against the Nets. There are no reports of Scola being injured but he will likely not see much time tonight.

Andre Miller will be making his first start as a member of the Spurs tonight. He is replacing Tony Parker, who has been ruled out with a toe injury. Parker is day to day and hopes to be better in the next 48 hours. Andre Miller is a viable punt play with his minimum salary and should be able to exceed value against his former team. David West will be starting for Tim Duncan and should see about 25 minutes tonight, making him a viable punt option.

Norman Powell will be starting tonight for James Johnson. Powell is an extremely low-end DFS option and has only exceeded 6x once this season on DK. It was in his most recent start so there is a chance he produces against the lowly Nets. Jason Thompson will be making his first start for the Raptors tonight in place of Luis Scola. Thompson is a tournament only option tonight.

Thaddeus Young and Brook Lopez are both expected back tonight after resting for a game. Both players will be under-owned due to the fact that they sat last game. Lopez has the better matchup and his salary on DK is the lowest it’s been since returning from the All-Star break.

DeMar DeRozan has seen his numbers hover steadily around 35 to 40 fantasy points over the last several weeks and he has really proven to be one of the most consistent options at SG. Tonight he gets a fantastic matchup with a Brooklyn Nets team that just struggles with defensive efficiency overall. Specifically against SGs they are in the bottom third of the league and DeRozan should be able to take advantage of that matchup. Unfortunately, DeRozan is very scoring dependent and he really has a ceiling of about 45 fantasy points, but his floor of around 30 fantasy points is simply too high to ignore for cash games. You can likely go ahead and pencil him in for at least 20 real-life points as he is one of the safest options on the board at SG.
Kawhi Leonard is an elite option with Tony Parker, Tim Duncan, and Manu Ginobili out
The Spurs are yet again resting some of their older players to keep them fresh throughout the season, and not surprisingly Kawhi Leonard sees the biggest bump when any of them are out. According to nbawowy.com, Leonard’s usage rate skyrockets almost ten percent from 23.1% to 32.9% when Parker, Duncan, and Ginobili are all out. This is obviously a significant increase and the fact that he will likely have his minutes somewhat stabilized with these three out makes him an extremely appealing option. Leonard has been playing very well and has hit 40 DK points in all but one of his last ten games and at his price of $8,200, he has hit 5x value in eight of those ten games. He has one of the highest floors on the slate and since this game may stay somewhat competitive now that the three Spurs are ruled out, Leonard offers the upside you want in GPPs as well.
