Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala questionable for tonight
The Warriors announced that Green and Iguodala are both questionable for their game tonight against the Magic. It’s a game that everyone expects the Warriors to put up big numbers in a bounce back game after their shocking loss to the Lakers yesterday. The Warriors have the highest total on the board by far (118.5 according to NBA First Look) and the Magic are weakest at defending forwards. While Green has come back down to earth of late (he’s only topped 50 FD fpts once in his last 12 games), he would still be in play given the match up. It’s hard to tell exactly who would benefit most from Green’s absence but the most likely candidate would be Marresse Speights who is a fantasy point a minute player that never gets significant run off the bench. We’ll provide updates on these two when more information becomes available later today.

Michael Carter-Williams out for season
This isn’t necessarily shocking news as there were rumors the team was going to shut him down, especially with the way Giannis Antetokounmpo has been manning the helm of late. Get in on Alphabet while he’s still priced relatively cheap as his production has been insane of late – he’s scored 60+ FanDuel fantasy points in three of his last four and four of the last seven.

As expected, Holiday will start tonight for the Pelicans against the Kings. While Holiday has actually performed better coming off the bench, you can’t ignore the fact that he is taking on the woeful Kings (29th against SG’s which is where Holiday is expected to start) and as such should be considered a top play on tonight’s seven game slate.

Cole told the media that his back feels good and that he’ll see how he feels pregame before deciding whether to play or not. It’s a great match up for Cole if he does go as the Pelicans are taking on the Kings who are one of the worst defenses in the league including 25th in PG DvP and 29th in total fantasy points allowed. At just $5,100 on FanDuel and $5,000 on DraftKings, he’s in strong consideration for both cash and GPPs if he does play. We’ll update you on his status when we learn more later today.

He played in the Bulls last game so this is nothing more than verification that he will play today as well when the team takes on the Milwaukee Bucks. It’s a fairly plus matchup for Gibson as the Bucks are bottom 10 in the league in PF DvP, but he’s not a viable GPP option as he’s usually only good for 20 or so fantasy points a night despite playing 30+ minutes. Pau Gasol is the only recommended DFS play in the Chicago front-court tonight.

Pacers Head Coach Frank Vogel stated Lawson would play tonight versus the Spurs but that his minutes would be limited. He’s not a viable option at this time but worth keeping an eye on if he can start to develop a more prominent role than the one he had in Houston.

The team has officially listed both Miles and Stuckey as questionable for the team’s game against the Spurs tonight. Miles has only played once since February 11th while Stuckey hasn’t topped 20 minutes since returning from injury at the end of February. Given the tough match up against the Spurs, neither are viable DFS options nor does their absence have a significant impact for any other players. We’ll update the status of these two as the day moves along.

James Johnson will start for the Raptors Sunday against the Rockets. Norman Powell got the start for Toronto on Friday. This news won’t have any fantasy impact as neither player is a viable DFS option.

Tony Allen out Sunday
Tony Allen will miss his eighth straight game with a knee injury. P.J. Hairston will continue to start for Allen, but he isn’t a DFS option. He has played just 17 and 23 minutes in his last two games. Lance Stephenson and Mario Chalmers are better options off the bench. Both are GPP plays only. Last game, Chalmers played 30 minutes and finished with 37 FD points. Chalmers is just $4,300 on DK.

We wrote up Lowry the other day because he has been extremely consistent, is underpriced for his production, and he is seemingly always overlooked by DFSers. On this slate it is nothing different because while people will want to be paying up for Russell Westbrook, Steph Curry, or Damian Lillard, Kyle Lowry sits at $8,800 on DraftKings and $9,100 on FanDuel but offers nearly the same upside as any of the aforementioned PGs. He gets a decent match up vs. the Rockets, and while Patrick Beverley is generally an above average defender, the other options above him have more difficult match ups except for Curry (and he has the blowout concern as he may only play three quarters). Lillard has received a lot of attention lately because of the whole “All Star snub” narrative and how he has been putting up big numbers, but Lowry has quietly been on a tear of his own including a 43-point performance last week on his way to 71 DK points. He has hit at least 43 DK points in seven of his last ten games and has hit 55 DK points in three of those. Lowry is underpriced, overlooked, and will likely be under owned and makes for a great play in all formats. He makes for a great play to differentiate your lineups from some of the other PG studs in action on this slate.
Robert Covington and Ish Smith are solid options on the injury-plagued Sixers
Can you tell if the Sixers are tanking yet? They have declared Nerlens Noel, Jahlil Okafor, Nik Stauskas, and Kendall Marshall all out which leaves them with a rotation of eight players. Even though they have a tough matchup vs. the Heat, there is just so much value available in this game that it might be a situation where we just ignore the matchup. They also played this team just two days ago with all of these same guys out, so we can look to that box score to get a good idea of how the rotation will work. The two main options for the Sixers offense now will be Robert Covington and Ish Smith who will likely both take a ton of shots. Friday night when all these guys were ruled out, Covington put up a season-high 18 shots and Ish Smith put up 21 shots. Both absolutely crushed value with 42.75 and 45 DK points respectively and we expect much of the same in this game. Philadelphia simply has very few options to post their implied team total of 98 points, and someone is going to have to step up and score the basketball. Covington and Smith are the two likely candidates to take over this role, so just embrace the tanking of the Sixers and plug these guys into your lineups.

Michael Carter-Williams will miss his fourth straight game with a knee injury. With MCW out, Jerryd Bayless has averaged 31 minutes and 20 FD points over the last three games. Bayless is just $4,400 on DK and $4,100 on FD.

Andre Iguodala won’t play Sunday against the Lakers because of a hamstring injury. Iguodala being out doesn’t have a big fantasy impact. Last game Iguodala missed, Harrison Barnes played 41 minutes, and finished with 22 FD points. He is just $5,100 on DK and $4,500 on FD. Brandon Rush and Ian Clark may also see some more minutes off the bench.

Jordan Clarkson will play Sunday against the Lakers. He missed Friday’s game with a knee injury. Clarkson makes for a nice GPP play on today’s slate. His play has been up and down recently. Just look at his fantasy points from his last four games (18, 33, 15, 38). With both Clarkson and Kobe Bryant playing on Sunday it hurts the value of D’Angelo Russell just a bit.

Kobe Bryant will play Sunday against the Warriors, despite missing three of his last four games with a shoulder injury. Bryant is only a GPP play today. This will be the Lakers last game against the Warriors, so you know Bryant will want to try and put on a show.
