Kemba Walker questionable for Friday

Kemba Walker is questionable to play on Friday. If he’s unable to go again, Jeremy Lin will remain a very nice mid-range play at the PG/SG spot, with Brian Roberts and Troy Daniels picking up the slack behind Lin. Now that the Hornets are relatively healthy, Walker’s price tag still sits too high to play him confidently even if he is able to take the court. Lin will be viable in any format if Walker is forced to miss another game.

Manu Ginobili set to miss 4-6 weeks with groin injury

Manu Ginobili will miss roughly 4-6 weeks with a groin injury. It’ll be a big loss for Spurs second unit, and should lead to extra playing time for the likes of Danny Green, Kyle Anderson, Patty Mills and Jonathon Simmons. The Spurs are deep at the wing positions so this doesn’t necessarily benefit one individual, but we’ll see how the playing time shakes out in the first few games Ginobili misses.

Kobe Bryant

Los Angeles Lakers
2/04/16, 2:00 PM ET

Kobe Bryant WILL play tonight

The news comes early today with the future Hall-of-Famer whose price has risen to $6,300 on FanDuel and $5,900 on DraftKings after putting up over 90 fpts in consecutive games. On a small slate like tonight, Bryant is in play despite what will likely be limited minutes (he’s only topped 30 minutes twice in his last 11 games) against a Pelicans defense that is 24th in SG DvP. Bryant playing also gives a slight hit to the likes of Jordan Clarkson and Lou Williams who will both see reduced minutes/usage with Kobe in the lineup.

Terrence Jones OUT tonight; Rockets recall Donatas Motiejunas

Jones had already been ruled out for tonight’s game after being involved in an automobile accident yesterday but the team announced today that they are bringing up Donatas Motiejunas from the D-League to provide some depth, especially with Clint Capela questionable. He’s not much of a DFS option as there is no way to predict how he will be involved in the Rockets rotation, if at all. The player who would benefit the most if Capela sits is Josh Smith who put up nearly 30 fpts last game out when he started at center for the suspended Dwight Howard.

Tyreke Evans

Indiana Pacers
2/04/16, 1:16 PM ET

Tyreke Evans doubtful for tonight's game

It appears as if Evans will not play for the Pelicans in their game tonight against the Lakers which is good news for DFS players as it makes Jrue Holiday an even better play than he already was going against a Lakers team that is dead last in PG DvP. Norris Cole is also a good option, especially on a small four game slate like tonight. If anything changes regarding Evans and whether he will play or not, we’ll update you as soon as we learn of it.

Jose Calderon probable to play tonight; minutes could be limited

After missing the last four games, Calderon is expected to play tonight according to Knicks Head Coach Derek Fisher. He didn’t know whether Calderon would start because he expected his minutes to be limited. This bumps down Langston Galloway as a DFS play and removes Jerian Grant from consideration, even on a small four game slate. Calderon himself is not a DFS option because of the potential minutes limitation.

Kevin Martin, Kevin Garnett, and Nikola Pekovic all confirmed out on Wednesday

All three players have been ruled out for another game tonight. Look for the young players to get extended run tonight on the second night of a back-to-back. Karl-Anthony Towns is an elite option tonight against the Clippers and Andrew Wiggins will look to keep his hot hand going tonight.

Jimmy Butler confirmed out, Tony Snell starting for him

Jimmy Butler has been confirmed out and Tony Snell will be starting in his place. Snell deserves some consideration tonight with Butler out. Snell will be an under-owned player and does not have to do much to exceed his near minimum salary. Pau Gasol is the biggest benificiary with Butler out.

Jimmy Butler

Golden State Warriors

Jimmy Butler not expected to play tonight

Jimmy Butler is not expected to play with a knee injury. We will confirm his status soon. If Butler misses the game Derrick Rose and E’Twaun Moore would see a nice bump in value.

J.J. Barea

Dallas Mavericks
2/03/16, 10:05 PM ET

J.J. Barea confirmed as starting

Deron Williams has been confirmed out and J.J. Barea will be starting in his place. Barea is a strong punt option but proceed with caution as the Heat are a strong defensive team vs PG. Barea should see over 28 minutes with Raymond Felton serving as his backup. Felton is a solid option at SG on DK and could be a strong under-owned play tonight.

Rajon Rondo

Cleveland Cavaliers
2/03/16, 9:57 PM ET

Rajon Rondo (toe) starting tonight

Rajon Rondo has been confirmed as starting tonight. Rondo was questionable before the game but should be good to go and not limited. Rondo has a strong matchup against Derrick Rose and should be considered an elite option against the Bulls.

Nikola Jokic

Denver Nuggets
2/03/16, 9:50 PM ET

Nikola Jokic confirmed as the starter tonight

Nikola Jokic was dealing with an injured shoulder coming but was able to go through warmups and will be starting. Jokic has a tough matchup tonight against the Jazz making him a GPP option only.

Marco Belinelli

San Antonio Spurs
2/03/16, 9:45 PM ET

Marco Belinelli starting with Ben McLemore off the bench

Marco Belinelli will be starting tonight and Ben McLemore will be back in the lineup off the bench. Belinelli has been playing well lately and deserves consideration tonight. Belinelli had 32.75 on DK in his previous start and will look to keep the hot hand going tonight. With Cousins back in the lineup he should still be able to exceed value but likely won’t score over 30 FPs.
