Nikola Jokic

Nikola Jokic is a GTD with a shoulder injury

Nikola Jokic is dealing with a shoulder injury and will go through warmups before deciding his status. If Jokic misses the game Jusuf Nurkic could see the start. Nurkic would be an elite late-swap punt option with his $3.6k salary on DK. Look for an update soon on Jokic’s status.

Hassan Whiteside confirmed as playing tonight, will come off the bench

Hassan Whiteside said he feels 80-90% and still feels a little pain when he raises his arm. Whiteside will be coming off the bench so he will likely not see over 28 minutes tonight. Whiteside is a GPP option only tonight.

Tyreke Evans

Indiana Pacers
2/03/16, 8:14 PM ET

Tyreke Evans confirmed as out tonight

Tyreke Evans has been confirmed out with his knee injury and Bryce Dejean-Jones should get another start. Dejean-Jones salary has risen and is no longer an elite punt option. Dejean-Jones is still cheap enough where you can slot him and get some other studs around him. The Pelicans will be facing the Spurs tonight so expectations for BDJ should be tempered.

Hassan Whiteside

Utah Jazz
2/03/16, 8:07 PM ET

Hassan Whiteside to warmup with the intention to play on Wednesday

Hassan Whiteside will be warming up tonight but will come off the bench leaving Amar’e Stoudemire as the starter. The bench role makes Whiteside a risky option due and he should only be used sparingly in GPP’s. With Whiteside returning Stoudemire’s value takes a bit of a hit and he will likely not see more than 24 minutes.

David West

Golden State Warriors
2/03/16, 8:00 PM ET

David West to start for the injured Tim Duncan tonight

David West will be starting tonight for the injured Tim Duncan. West gets to matchup against Anthony Davis tonight and should have his hands full. West is a low-end DFS play with his focus on the defensive end. LaMarcus Aldridge is the better play due to him moving over to C in place of Duncan.

Terrence Jones

Houston Rockets
2/03/16, 7:51 PM ET

Terrence Jones out on Thursday

Terrence Jones was in a car accident and was ruled out of Thursday’s contest against the Suns. Josh Smith will likely take all the minutes he can handle with Dwight Howard also back in the lineup. Clint Capela is still questionable due to his injury.

Cody Zeller

Houston Rockets
2/03/16, 7:41 PM ET

Cody Zeller to return to the starting lineup tonight

Cody Zeller will return to the starting lineup tonight after missing six games with a shoulder injury. The return of Zeller will send Spencer Hawes back to the bench, eliminating his value tonight. Zeller is a PF on FD and C on DK and viable in both spots. His salary is slightly lower on FD making him a better option there. Zeller was playing well before he got hurt and should go back to his normal ways if the minutes are there. His upside is limited tonight in a tough matchup with the Cavs.

Jeremy Lin

Golden State Warriors
2/03/16, 7:26 PM ET

Jeremy Lin is in a great spot despite the matchup with Kemba Walker out

The Hornets have been ravaged by injuries over the last few weeks, and Kemba Walker is the latest to fall for Charlotte. Jeremy Lin should get the start at PG for the Hornets, but the problem is they don’t really have a go-to scorer now that Walker is out. Someone will have to step up, and Lin has shown that he is willing to put up a ton of shots given the opportunity. Well, Jeremy, tonight may just be your night because the Hornets are going to have to score the ball somehow. They do get a tough matchup with the Cavs who are solid defensively, but regardless of the matchup this is still a great spot for Lin. He should see a majority of the minutes at PG and they like to put him at SG as well, and he has a reasonable mid-range price that he could very well exceed tonight.

Jeremy Lin and Nicolas Batum confirmed as starting tonight

Jeremy Lin will be starting tonight for the injured Kemba Walker and Nicolas Batum will be in the lineup as well. Lin will be a chalky play tonight with the new of Walker having been out all day. He should be targetted in some of your games but the Hornets are at the risk of being blown out. Nicolas Batum will be playing tonight even with a toe injury. Batum should be able to have his way with J.R. Smith but is a risky mid-range play at this salary ($6,600 DK / $6,100 FD).

Dewayne Dedmon

Philadelphia 76ers
2/03/16, 7:09 PM ET

Dewayne Dedmon will not be available to play tonight

Dewayne Dedmon will not be playing tonight after he sprained his foot in a voluntary workout. Dedmon had not been seeing many minutes but has still been getting on the court most nights. With Dedmon out, Jason Smith will likely pick up an extra few minutes. Smith is not a DFS option unless Nikola Vucevic gets into foul trouble.

Matthew Dellavedova

Sacramento Kings
2/03/16, 7:05 PM ET

Matthew Dellavedova (hamstring) out on Wednesday

Matthew Dellavedova has been ruled out with a hamstring injury for tonight. Mo Williams will likely get back into the rotation tonight in the absence of Dellavedova. Williams should be a solid punt option if the Cavs can blow the Hornets out. The Hornets are without Kemba Walker and have other players dealing with injuries as well. Williams is a risky GPP option due to the fact that he has only played a total of 20 minutes in the last eleven games.

Al Horford

Golden State Warriors
2/03/16, 6:53 PM ET

Al Horford has a great matchup vs. the 76ers

To start with, Al Horford seems to be pretty underpriced compared to his production on both DraftKings and FanDuel. He also has a dream matchup vs. the 76ers who can’t defend the center position if their life depended on it. The are second to last in DvP vs. opposing centers tonight, and Horford is in a great spot to take advantage of the lack of defense displayed nightly by the 76ers. Horford ranks highest in our dollars per points projections for centers by quite a bit and is a nice, relatively discounted option at center tonight. If you roster Horford, you will likely have room to spend up on some higher-priced studs who are also in great positions tonight. Take a long look at Horford and his matchup with the 76ers before lineups lock tonight.

Matthew Dellavedova

Sacramento Kings
2/03/16, 6:41 PM ET

Matthew Dellavedova to be a game-time decision tonight

Matthew Dellavedova will be a game-time decision tonight against the Hornets. If he’s unable to go, Kyrie Irving may see a slight uptick in playing time, and either Mo Williams (who has hasn’t seen the floor in awhile) or Jared Cunningham figure to act as the back-up behind Irving. Avoiding the Cavs PG situation as a whole is the way to go in cash games, but Kyrie Irving does have some GPP appeal.

Aaron Gordon

Denver Nuggets
2/03/16, 6:26 PM ET

Aaron Gordon has been on fire since entering starting lineup

Scott Skiles finally came to his senses a week and a half ago when he inserted Aaron Gordon into the starting lineup for the Magic. Skiles is infamous among DFSers for his wacky substitution patterns so you never know what may happen with the Magic, but it’s safe to say that Gordon has been on a tear lately. Since entering the starting lineup Gordon is averaging over 30 DK points per game, including over 40 in his last two. His price still has not caught up with production on either site. The downside to rostering Gordon tonight is he does have a tough matchup with the Thunder who rank 8th in DvP vs. SF (DraftKings) and 4th vs. PFs (FanDuel). Despite the tough matchup, Gordon just seems to be way underpriced for his
production, and is still a good option tonight.

Nicolas Batum

LA Clippers
2/03/16, 6:26 PM ET

Nicolas Batum (toe) upgrade to GTD on Wednesday

Nicolas Batum will go through pregame warmups and play tonight if he feels he can go. The Hornets are one of the first games to start so we should have more information on Batum’s status before lineups lock. If Batum is able to play Jeremy Lin could see a slight decrease in value. Lin is still in line to get a lot of shots due to the absence of Kemba Walker.
