Tyler Johnson and Hassan Whiteside confirmed out tonight
Tyler Johnson (shoulder) and Hassan Whiteside (oblique) have both been ruled out of tonight’s contest against the Bucks. Amar’e Stoudemire will start again in Whiteside’s place. With Johnson out, Gerald Green will be seeing a couple extra minutes tonight. Green and Stoudemire are both GPP plays only and should be used sparingly on such a large slate.

Anthony Davis and Tyreke Evans questionable for Saturday
Anthony Davis and Tyreke Evans are questionable to play on Saturday. If Evans is again unavailable, look for Bryce Dejean-Jones to start with Jrue Holiday picking up extra minutes off the bench. Holiday is an elite play in all formats if Evans is out, and Norris Cole also becomes a very strong punt play. If AD sits, the value of Holiday/Cole rises even further, and Alonzo Gee’s playing time also becomes a bit more secure. Ryan Anderson is the big winner if AD sits, and like Holiday, he’d be an elite play in any format.

Langston Galloway has been named the starter again tonight after Jose Calderon was ruled out with a groin injury. In the last two games, Galloway has posted 24 and 39 DK points in 31 and 33 minutes respectively, and he is in store for another heavy workload tonight. Surprisingly, Galloway’s price has only risen a couple hundred dollars and is a premier value option at SG tonight. The Suns are a great team to target for DFS purposes because they own one of the fastest paces as well as the worst defenses in the league. They are 29th and 28th in DvP vs. PGs and SGs and let up a ton of points to opposing back courts. Target Galloway with confidence tonight as he is a great candidate to reach value tonight.
John Henson out again tonight, Johnny O'Bryant likely out as well
John Henson will be out again with a sore back and Johnny O’Bryant is unlikely to play due to the birth of his child. With Henson and Bryant out, look for Miles Plumlee to get some extra minutes tonight. Plumlee played 19 minutes last night and was able to exceed value on his salary. At a minimum salary Plumlee is a solid punt play and deserves consideration against the Heat tonight.

Rodney Hood is one of the most volatile players in daily fantasy sports, but for us that just means we need to know when and where to play him. Chances are if you have ever rostered Hood in cash games he has burned you once or twice, but if you have played him in GPPs he might have blown up and given you the boost you needed. Tonight is no different, as Hood makes a nice GPP option as a low-owned pivot off of Avery Bradley who will likely be heavily-owned. Hood certainly has a huge upside, but he also has a fairly low floor that has kept his price down a bit. However, over his last six games he has not posted a DK score under 23 points, which really wouldn’t kill you considering he is only $6,100 on DraftKings and $5,800 on FanDuel. He gets a matchup vs. the Timberwolves tonight who are middle of the road vs. opposing SGs. Be warned that Hood could post a dud tonight, but it might be a risk you are willing to take considering his significant upside.
Spencer Hawes is a cheap option at C tonight
It might be time to hop back on the Hawes Train. Hawes has performed extremely well in the absence of Cody Zeller as he remains the starting center for the Hornets. As a result, Hawes’ has seen his price jump big-time, nearly $3,000 in a couple of weeks since he has been a starter. Last week when his price was low, he was 75-85% owned as he has performed at a clip of over 25 DK points per game. Now as his price has jumped, his ownership will likely be much lower, but he has the upside to reach 6x or 7x. He is much more attractive on FanDuel at $4,000 rather than DraftKings at $4,800, but regardless he is a solid option on either site. He will continue to see around 30 minutes and as his price is still relatively low, he is a great GPP option for tonight. Portland is 21st in DvP vs. centers so the matchup is there for Hawes as well. He has been a bit inconsistent in his production as a starter so he may not necessarily be too trustworthy for cash games, but he is certainly in play tonight as a cheap option at C.
Chris Bosh is a great option again with Hassan Whiteside out
We wrote up Bosh a couple of days ago when Hassan Whiteside was ruled out, and with Whiteside being ruled out tonight it remains the same. Bosh averages 1.2 DK points per game with Whiteside off the court, and he should see at least 35 minutes tonight. The floor is fairly high because of his expected minutes and he makes for a great cash game play. The matchup with the Bucks is intriguing, as they are 24th in DvP vs. PFs. The Heat sometimes like to move Bosh down to center especially when Whiteside is out, and the Bucks are 16th DvP vs. C. Bosh is in a nice spot tonight with Whiteside ruled out yet again and has a great chance to reach value.
Langston Galloway starting again for Jose Calderon
Langston Galloway will be making another start tonight and is an elite punt option against the Suns. Carmelo Anthony and Kristaps Porzingis will be in the lineup but Galloway should still be able to exceed value on his cheap salary. Galloway should be in line for 30 minutes again tonight.

Carmelo Anthony will return to the starting lineup tonight after missing a couple games with knee and ankle issues. The Knicks play the Suns tonight making Anthony an solid option at SF.There is a chance he could have a minutes restriction which limits his upside. Kristaps Porzingis will also be in the starting lineup after missing one game due to an illness. Porzingis seems to still be sick but will give it a go tonight. Jose Calderon will miss another game with his groin injury.

Isaiah Thomas is dealing with a slight ankle injury but will starting again tonight. The injury has not caused the All-Star to miss any time but if the Celtics have a comfortable lead in the 4th Q, expect him to sit. Thomas is still a strong play against the Magic but the Celtics have been using Marcus Smart more lately limiting Thomas’ upside.

Rudy Gay will play on Saturday against the Grizzlies. His presence will slightly decrease DeMarcus Cousins’ usage rate/shot attempts, but DMC is still a nice GPP target tomorrow against a tough Memphis front-court. While the Grizzlies struggled some defensively earlier in the year, they have become one of the strongest defensive units in the league lately. With Gay back in the lineup, Omri Casspi will resume a bench role and isn’t DFS-viable tomorrow. Rondo and Cousins are still very much in play.

Rodney Stuckey (ankle) out again on Saturday
Stuckey will miss his eighth consecutive game with an injured ankle. No one off the Pacers bench has really stood out to make up for his production but C.J. Miles does provide the most upside. With Myles Turner now starting, Miles will continue coming off the bench and try to provide a spark. The Pacers host the Nuggets on Saturday in what should be an uptempo game.

It’s very likely that MKG will have a fairly strict minutes restriction, but we don’t have any official word on a total at this point and may not have word until Steve Clifford’s pregame availability (which will come after lock since CHA plays on the west coast). We’d tentatively predict him for around 20-22 minutes of court time, and his presence will likely lead to P.J. Hairston coming off the bench. At least in the early going, it doesn’t appear that MKG’s presence will bump down Nicolas Batum’s playing time. We’ll update if we get a projected minutes total before lock.

Tim Duncan has been ruled out for Saturday against the Cavs. The Spurs started Kyle Anderson in a small lineup on Wednesday that featured LaMarcus Aldridge at center, but they likely will go back to David West in order to match-up with the fairly big Cleveland front-court (Kevin Love and Tristan Thompson). West is a viable cash game punt play, but his ceiling is limited due to his court time being held under 26-28 minutes even as a starter. Boban Marjanovic will continue to see some run as well, and he’s been an absolute monster in terms of per minute stats. Like West, he suffers from a lack of playing time.

Jon Leuer is expected to play tonight after missing the Suns’ past five games due to lower back spasms. His presence will cut into the playing time of Tyson Chandler, Alex Len and Markieff Morris, although it’s peg which one he’ll sieve minutes from. With the Suns front-court finally healing up, they aren’t a prime value target (in the front-court at least) any longer. Len and Chandler are still in play as center GPP punts, with Len likely having the higher ceiling tonight.
