Kirk Hinrich (quad) goes through practice, GTD for Sunday
Kirk Hinrich was able to go through an entire practice and looks healthy to play on Sunday. Hinrich will go through warmups before be officially confirmed. Hinrich’s return will limit the upside of Aaron Brooks. Both Brooks and Hinrich are not good DFS options on Sunday.

Marco Belinelli questionable Saturday
Belinelli is questionable Saturday with an illness. If he can’t go this would give more minutes to Darren Collison and Ben McLemore. Both are GPP punt plays only. McLemore did score 26 points last game, but he is just too inconsistent to trust.

Pelicans list Tyreke Evans as probable starter Saturday, but not Anthony Davis
We all know that these pregame notes are not always accurate, but the Pelicans list Evans as a starter Saturday and not Davis. If Davis is once again out, fire up Ryan Anderson in all formats. Last game he scored 36 points, and had 9 rebounds against the Kings. He still has a very fair price across the industry. If Evans returns, he will make for a nice GPP play. This will hurt the value of Norris Cole and Jrue Holliday. Like Evans, both make nice GPP plays still, just not safe cash game plays.

Lauvergne will likely play Saturday, after missing the last two games. He is not a fantasy option, as he has only been seeing minutes in the teens lately. He may take some minutes away from Nikola Jokic and Kenneth Faried. As always the Nuggets frontcourt are GPP plays only.

Porter went through shootaround today, after leaving last game early with an injury. Afterwards he told reporters that he would play tonight against the Rockets. He is a GPP play only on Saturday, not a lot of people will be on him with the injury concern. With him likely returning this will hurt the value of Garrett Temple and Jared Dudley.

Wesley Johnson will be starting tonight for the resting Paul Pierce. Johnson is a viable punt play in the late slate but does not provide much upside. That may change tonight against his former team but he should only be used in tournaments. Johnson should see about 28 minutes tonight if the game is not a blowout.
As reported by: Dan Woike Lou Williams (illness) will be starting, Anthony Brown starting for Kobe Bryant on Friday
Lou Williams is back in the starting lineup tonight and should be used in the late slate. Williams is a pure scorer and this is the matchup he needs to break out of his funk. With Kobe Bryant also out of the lineup, Williams will take his normal 10-12 shots and 5-7 free throws. If the Lakers are able to keep it close, Williams will have had a big hand in it.

Paul Pierce will be sitting out on Friday resting and Wesley Johnson is likely to take his place in the starting lineup. Johnson had a huge fantasy night on Wednesday but it was a fluky 6 steals that inflated his numbers. Wesley Johnson is still a viable punt option but does not have much upside due to his poor shooting stroke. Johnson shot 1-8 on three-pointers on Wednesday so the upside is there if he can even hit two more.

Both Jeremy Lamb and Jeremy Lin have been ruled out on Friday. Look for Nicolas Batum to get all the minutes he can handle tonight. Also, Troy Daniels is fantasy relevant again and makes for a decent punt play. Daniels is only a scorer so his upside is limited unless he is hitting shots. Daniels should only be used in tournaments while Batum can be used in both cash and GPP.

Derrick Favors will return to the starting lineup tonight against the Timberwolves. Trey Lyles will go back to the bench and is no longer a DFS option. Favors has been producing about 1 FPs per minute he’s on the floor since his return, and should see an uptick in minutes tonight. Favors’ salary is still a little high but he is a productive player with a solid floor for cash games tonight.

Gorgui Dieng will remain in the starting lineup tonight for the Timberwolves. Dieng is coming off a monster game and will likely be a chalky pick with his under $5k salary. Dieng is a GPP option only tonight with the Jazz having both big Derrick Favors and Rudy Gobert in the lineup. Dieng is still a good play but his upside will be limited tonight.

Zaza Pachulia will return to the starting lineup tonight after missing three games with a sore leg. Pachulia an elite option tonight against the Nets and should definitely be used in the late slates. Pachulia’s salary has fallen slightly due to the injury making it easier for him to exceed value. Pachulia has exceeded 30 FPs in 6 of his last 10 games, with a strong chance to do it again tonight.

Devin Harris will miss his third consecutive game tonight wit a toe injury. Look for Raymond Felton and J.J. Barea to get some extra run with him out. Felton has been playing well lately averaging 22.58 FPs on DK over his last 3 games and makes for a solid punt option with his $3,900 salary. Barea also has played well but both players had gotten boost with multiple Mavericks out of the lineup. With Zaza Pachulia back tonight the rotation should return to normal, reducing their upside.

T.J. Warren has not missed any time with an ankle injury and will try to play tonight. Warren is a tournament play only and has not flashed much upside lately. Warren would need P.J. Tucker to get into foul trouble to really have an impact. With Carmelo Anthony known for drawing fouls there is a chance Warren gets some extra minutes if his ankle holds up.

Goran Dragic will start tonight against the Bucks. He’ll push Beno Udrih to the bench, and Dragic is a tough sell as anything more than a dart-throw contrarian GPP play. It’s best to avoid him in his first game back from injury. As for McRoberts, he’ll see some time behind Bosh and Amar’e Stoudemire, but he isn’t expected to see more than 10-12 minutes of court time.
