Carmelo Anthony officially OUT for tonight
Anthony stated that today was a rehab day and that he would not play tonight with hopes of playing tomorrow. No word officially on who will take his place yet but the assumption is it will be Lance Thomas who logged 40 minutes against the Thunder last game when Anthony sat. At just $3,800 on FanDuel and $4,000 on DraftKings, it’s hard to ignore that kind of playing time even when facing a top defense like the Raptors. However, it is worth noting that Thomas does not do much in terms of fantasy production when he plays. He is averaging .65 DK fpts/minute which means he’d have to play 31 minutes to hit five times value. This makes him more appealing as a cash game play as opposed to being used in GPP’s as his floor is high but ceiling (he’s only topped 30 DK fpts once this season) is low.
As reported by: New York Knicks official Twitter feedCarmelo Anthony and Jose Calderon questionable for tonight's game against the Raptors
Two of the Knicks starting five are questionable for tonight’s game as Carmelo Anthony with his sore left knee and Jose Calderon with a sore right groin will be game time decisions for their game against the Raptors. If Calderon can not go, Langston Galloway and to a lesser extent Jerian Grant will benefit. Despite being reasonable value options, tread with caution as the Raptors are elite (2nd in PG DvP) at defending the position. That said, if Galloway gets the start he is definitely in play. Lance Thomas would probably get the nod at SF if Anthony sits and he also has a tough match up as the Raptors are 5th in SF DvP. If he plays 40 minutes like he did last game though that doesn’t matter much at his price point and he’s also in play. We’ll keep an eye on Anthony and Calderon’s status and update you when more information becomes available.

All the Nuggets big men are battling injury it seems as Arthur and Lauvergne join Nikola Jokic as being questionable for tonight’s game against the Wizards. Kenneth Faried looks as if he will see all the minutes he can handle tonight and is an elite mid-priced option tonight ($6,100 on FanDuel and $5,700 on DraftKings) even though he’ll be facing a Wizards team that defends the PF position well (7th in PF DvP). We’ll keep an eye on the Nuggets reports that come in and let you know how their lineup is shaping up heading to tip-off.
As reported by: Chris Dempsey on Twitter Other tagged players: Joffrey Lauvergne, Kenneth FariedKyle Lowry questionable for tonight's game
Raptors Head Coach Casey is uncertain whether Lowry will play tonight or not and he is considered questionable for their game against the New York Knicks. If Lowry does not play, Cory Joseph will be a top value option at the PG position (he is priced at under $4K on both DK and FD) going against a Knicks team that is 13th in PG DvP. As soon as we hear anything definitive on Lowry, we’ll provide an update.

After missing the last six games it appears that Nelson might be close to returning to action as the team upgraded him from doubtful to questionable for tonight’s game against the Wizards. He’s not someone to target just yet as his role will be uncertain but it will impact Emmanuel Mudiay’s playing time so his injury situation is something to keep an eye on prior to thinking of rostering Mudiay. We’ll update you Nelson’s status prior to tonight’s game as soon as it becomes known whether he is playing or not.

Jokic bruised his right knee in last night’s contest and is considered questionable for the Nuggets game tonight against the Wizards.Darrell Arthur and Jusuf Nurkic would be the biggest beneficiaries if Jokic can’t go and both are good, but not great, DFS targets against a Wizards team that is middle-of-the-pack in Center DvP (12th). We’ll update you on Jokic’s status when we learn more.

The Mavs will change their starting lineup tonight with Dirk and Zaza missing. Raymond Felton will be put into the starting backcourt with Deron Williams tonight. Wesley Matthews will play the SF and Chandler Parsons will play the PF. Salah Mejri will play at center but will likely be in a time share with JaVale McGee due to the back-to-back. Felton will make for a solid under-owned pick tonight with Wesley Matthews getting a bump in value playing at SF.
As reported by: GSW stats Other tagged players: Raymond Felton, Salah Mejri, Chandler Parsons, Wesley MatthewsDevin Harris confirmed out with Dirk and Zaza, Jeremy Evans is active
Devin Harris, Dirk Nowitzki, and Zaza Pachulia have all been ruled out and we will see a new set of starters for the Mavs. Charlie Villanueva will likely start in the place of Nowitzki and Salah Mejri will start in the place of Pachulia. With Harris out, look for Felton and Barea to get some extended run. Jeremy Evans is also active and could get some run if the Warriors blow the Mavs out.
As reported by: Mavs Stats Other tagged players: Dirk Nowitzki, Zaza Pachulia, Jeremy EvansDerrick Rose probable, E'Twuan Moore questionable, and Kirk Hinrich out on Thursday
Derrick Rose is probable after only playing 13 minutes on Monday due back and hamstring issues. The Bulls PG was coming in averaging 22 points over his last 4 prior to the injury. Rose was also averaging a little over 31 minutes a game prior to the injury so there is hope he can return back to form. The Bulls face the Lakers on Thursday and Rose should be back to his usual self. E’Twuan Moore is also dealing with a hamstring issue and will be questionable for Thursday. Kirk Hinrich has already been ruled so look for Aaron Brooks to pick up the backup PG minutes.

The Jazz will start Raul Neto tonight after he passed the concussion protocol. Neto’s return diminishes Trey Burke’s value slightly but Burke is still a viable option in the late slate. Trey Lyles will continue to start tonight even though Derrick Favors is back in the lineup. The Jazz want to work Favors back in slowly after he missed about a month of action.
As reported by: Jody Genessy Other tagged players: Trey Lyles, Derrick Favors, Trey BurkeNicolas Batum (toe) starting on Wednesday
Batum has missed three consecutive games but will return to the starting lineup tonight against the Jazz. Batum will make for an under-owned stud play against the Jazz but is risky due to their defense. Batum should only really be used in the later slate where Golden State is projected to blow out the Mavs. With Batum returning to the starting lineup Jeremy Lin will go back to the bench.
As reported by: Hornets PR Other tagged players: Jeremy LinJulius Randle (leg) probable on Thursday
Julius Randle received a CT scan and MRI on his sore left tibia but all tests came back positive. Randle has played well of late and could be moved back to the bench due to the injury. Larry Nance would start if Randle goes the bench, look for an update tomorrow after shootaround.
As reported by: Mike Trudell Other tagged players: Larry Nance Jr.Kyle Anderson starting tonight for Tim Duncan, LaMarcus Aldridge to play C
Kyle Anderson will start tonight for the injured Tim Duncan. LaMarcus Aldridge will play from the center position again tonight. Anderson is a near minimum salaried player and should get into your lineups for his potential upside. There is a still a risk to playing him due to Coach Popovich but he should be able to secure about 24 minutes tonight.
As reported by: Craig AckermanGorgui Dieng confirmed starter tonight with Kevin Garnett resting
Gorgui Dieng will be starting tonight and Nikola Pekovic will come off the bench. Dieng will be a strong punt play in a starting role tonight against the Thunder. He should see around 28-30 minutes and come close to producing a double-double. Dieng has been primarily playing off the bench when the Timberwolves are healthy.
As reported by: Timberwolves PRDwight Howard starting, Clint Capela to the bench
Dwight Howard was confirmed earlier in the day as starting but the news is that Clint Capela will be coming off the bench. Trevor Ariza and Corey Brewer will remain in the starting lineup and should see considerable minutes. Dwight Howard will make for an under-owned option tonight coming off an injury facing the Spurs.
