Gerald Green starting for Dwyane Wade tonight
Gerald Green will be inserted into the starting lineup for the injured Dwyane Wade. Green makes for an elite punt option but will likely be chalky. Green should still be used due to his ability to score the ball consistently. Tyler Johnson and Beno Udrih also see a bump in value with Wade out of the game tonight.
Other tagged players: Dwyane WadeMarkieff Morris will start with Jon Leuer off the bench tonight
Markieff Morris will be inserted into the starting lineup after playing well in his previous game. Morris will likely use this as motivation and try to play well in this game. If you are able to switch Morris into your lineups on DK he is worth a GPP flyer. Just beware because Morris can be frustrating and the Suns are projected to get blown out. If the Suns keep it close Morris will have had a big hand in the effort.
Hassan Whiteside confirmed as playing tonight, likely starting
Hassan Whiteside came off the bench in his last game but will be starting tonight as the Heat are banged up. Whiteside is an elite option at C tonight and will likely be under-owned due to the large slate. Wade is going to miss this game so Whiteside will likely be asked to score more than usual. Plug Whiteside in if none of your centers have started yet.
As reported by: Jason LieserDwyane Wade (shoulders) out tonight
Wade was a late scratch and is suffering from both his shoulders being sore. Wade’s absence will open up more playing time for Tyler Johnson and Gerald Green. Both Green and Johnson are elite punt plays tonight against the Nuggets. Both players should see about 30 minutes with the Heat only dressing 10 players.
Other tagged players: Tyler Johnson, Gerald GreenThe Mavs will return to their normal starting lineup; D-Will, Matthews, Parsons, Dirk & Pachulia
The Mavericks rested their starters in the previous game but will return to their normal starting five. Deron Williams and Wes Matthews will start in the backcourt with Dirk Nowitzki, Chandler Parsons and Zaza Pachulia in the frontcourt. Williams and Zaza have elite matchups and should be used tonight in DFS after resting for a game.
Other tagged players: Dirk NowitzkiTony Snell inserted into the starting lineup for Nikola Mirotic
The Bulls will make a lineup change with Nikola Mirotic struggling. Tony Snell will start at SF and should be in line for 20-25 minutes. Doug McDermot played well in his previous game and had 17 points in 33 minutes. The Bulls almost lost to the Sixers last night with Mirotic struggling, so this roster change was not that surprising.
As reported by: Vincent Goodwill Other tagged players: Tony SnellLeBron James has been confirmed as playing on Friday
There was some initial speculation with the line moving that LeBron James would not play tonight. James has been confirmed as starting tonight and should be deployed as usual. If anything changes in a few hours we will have your update.
Kelly Oubre confirmed as starting for the injured Otto Porter
Kelly Oubre has been confirmed as starting tonight for the Wizards. Oubre is a cheap punt option but a GPP play only due to his matchup against Paul George. The Wizards are a seriously injured team tonight and will need production from everyone playing to keep it close.
Tyreke Evans will play tonight against the Hornets
Pelicans coach Alvin Gentry said that Tyreke Evans will play tonight. Evans exited early on Wednesday due to knee tendinitis. Evans return to the lineup kills any value Norris Cole was going to have and also limits Jrue Holiday’s ceiling. Evans is a GPP play only and could be under-owned due to the late information.
Other tagged players: Norris Cole, Jrue HolidayPau Gasol, Jimmy Butler and Derrick Rose will all play tonight
The Bulls will have their main offensive pieces tonight on the second night of a back-to-back. The Bulls face a rested Mavericks squad, after they sat all their starters on Wednesday. Derrick Rose and Pau Gasol are in great positions to exceed value and could be under-owned with people chasing points with Jimmy Butler.
Other tagged players: Jimmy Butler, Derrick RoseWith Jeremy Lamb out, Jeremy Lin becomes an option
Jeremy Lin had been on a bit of a tear lately…until his 7.25 fantasy point outing vs. the Nuggets on Sunday where he was 0-9 from the field. However, he did recover nicely on Wednesday vs. the Hawks putting up 19 points and 5 rebounds in 27 minutes. Tonight Jeremy Lamb has been ruled out with a toe injury and Lin should see a bit of an increase in both playing time and usage vs. the Pelicans who are very bad defensively. If you take out the game vs. Denver on Sunday, Lin is pretty underpriced for the production he has been showing over the last few weeks and we wouldn’t expect that to change much tonight vs. the Pelicans. Lin is a solid GPP option and could be considered in cash games at a nice mid-range price point as well.
Thabo Sefolosha (wrist, ankle) probable Friday
Thabo Sefolosha will look to return to the lineup tonight against the Bucks. Sefolosha has been out for two games with his wrist and ankle injuries. Sefolosha will likely see his normal 22 minutes tonight and contribute across the board. Sefolosha is not relied upon to score so he gets his fantasy value mostly from rebounds. Sefolosha is a tough player to recommend coming off injury which will likely lead him to be under-owned on the large slate.
As reported by: KL ChouinardKevin Martin (illness) out on Friday
Martin has been ruled out with an illness and that may open up some extra minutes for Shabazz Muhammad tonight. Muhammad only played 16 minutes last game but had been coming in averaging over 25 minutes in his last 3 games. Muhammad had 28.5 FPs in 34 minutes against the Thunder three nights ago in Minnesota. This game will be on the road for the Timberwolves where Muhammad has shown a slight downtick in production.
As reported by: Timberwolves Other tagged players: Shabazz MuhammadBeno Udrih may be worth a GPP shot with Dragic out again
Beno Udrih does not put up the strongest stats for the Heat, but is only $3,300 on DraftKings and he will likely play 25-30 minutes again tonight with Dragic being ruled out again with a calf injury. Udrih only needs 16 fantasy points to hit value, and it would be very reasonable to expect that he gets to that number given the amount of minutes he will see again tonight. Denver struggles to defend opposing PGs with 48 fantasy points per game allowed to PGs. Where we obviously don’t expect Udrih to put up near that many points, between him, Tyler Johnson, and Gerald Green we would expect them to be the primary ball handlers especially if Dwayne Wade is ruled out. Udrih is not really a safe play in cash games but could be worth a punt play in GPPs even with the chance of a dud game. Where he is not that involved in the offense, he does not need to do much to hit value in this game.
George Hill (personal) to play tonight
Hill missed shootaround this morning due to a personal reason but is back with the team now. He is expected to start against the Wizards tonight. Hill is in a really nice spot and has provided value in his last three contests by averaging 38.3 minutes. Look for Hill to continue getting a ton of minutes with Rodney Stuckey also out tonight.
