Ronnie Price

Phoenix Suns
1/08/16, 9:44 PM ET

Ronnie Price (toe) out on Friday, Devin Booker starts

Ronnie Price will be out of the lineup after starting one game. Devin Booker resumes his starting gig and makes for a decent punt option tonight. He is in a tough matchup with the Heat, so his ownership will likely be down. Booker is a GPP only play coming off a hot game.

Tony Allen

Chicago Bulls
1/08/16, 9:13 PM ET

Mario Chalmers and Tony Allen starting tonight

Mario Chalmers and Tony Allen have been inserted into the starting lineup tonight with Mike Conley and Courtney Lee out. Chalmers is a chalky value play and Tony Allen is also under-priced. Both players will likely be heavily owned but will could easily exceed value with the Grizzlies dealing with a ton of injuries.

Tony Parker

Charlotte Hornets
1/08/16, 7:57 PM ET

Tony Parker starting on Friday

Tony Parker returns to the lineup on Friday against the Knicks and has a great matchup. Parker would make for an under-owned player as he was ruled in close to when lineups lock. Patty Mills loses some value but now will play in garbage time and get some more shots, as the Spurs are projected to be a part of another blowout.

Evan Fournier

Detroit Pistons
1/08/16, 7:32 PM ET

Evan Fournier to start on Friday

Evan Fournier is listed as a starter for tonight’s game with the Nets. He was questionable coming into the game but with Elfrid Payton out, the Magic need the depth at the guard spot. Fournier isn’t viable outside of GPPs, with Victor Oladipo being the core cash game play on the Orlando side. Nikola Vucevic is also very much in play.

Mike Conley

Boston Celtics
1/08/16, 7:46 PM ET

Mike Conley and Courtney Lee OUT on Friday

Mike Conley (Achilles) and Courtney Lee (hip) have both been ruled out of tonight’s game. Mario Chalmers and Tony Allen will likely take their place in the lineup. Chalmers is coming off a really hot game where he scored 52FPs on DK. Tony Allen also exceeded value on his cheap salary, so he is an option tonight.

Dante Cunningham

San Antonio Spurs
1/08/16, 7:30 PM ET

Dante Cunningham starting instead of Alonzo Gee Friday

Dante Cunningham is starting for Alonzo Gee tonight. Gee is not injured but Cunningham is in to spread the floor. Cunningham is a risky GPP play but will be under-owned. With the news coming before lock Cunningham can be used a punt option on both FanDuel and DraftKings.

Evan Fournier questionable, Shabazz Napier to start if he misses

Evan Fournier is dealing with a toe injury and his status will be decided before the game. If he misses the game Shabazz Napier would take his place in the lineup. Napier is a cheap option and could excel against the Nets tonight.

Elfrid Payton

New Orleans Pelicans
1/08/16, 7:11 PM ET

Elfrid Payton (ankle) will not play tonight

Elfrid Payton will not play tonight with his ankle injury. Expect Victor Oladipo to start in his place and be a chalky play again tonight. Oladipo has played well since Payton went down but his salary has also risen significantly. The Magic play the Nets tonight so he is in a plus matchup and should be a good play in cash games.

Derrick Favors

Atlanta Hawks
1/08/16, 7:00 PM ET

Derrick Favors, Rodney Hood questionable for Saturday

Both Derrick Favors and Rodney Hood are questionable for Saturday’s game against the Heat. Favors has been out of the lineup for the last 8 games, but appears to have a decent shot to return tomorrow. With Rudy Gobert back, his presence would take Jeff Withey completely out of play. Trevor Booker’s value would also decrease slightly, but his role hasn’t changed a whole lot with Favors out. If Rodney Hood is unable to play, Trey Burke would become a strong value target.

Nicolas Batum

LA Clippers
1/08/16, 7:02 PM ET

Nicolas Batum questionable Saturday

Nicolas Batum (toe) is being listed as questionable for Saturday’s contest against the Clippers. The game starts at 3:30 ET, so expect to find out pretty early in the day if he going to play. If Batum misses Lin would be a good option again in a starting role. Jeremey Lamb is still injured as well so Lin has a chance to exceed 30 minutes if both Lamb and Batum miss.

Kris Humphries

Philadelphia 76ers
1/08/16, 6:42 PM ET

Kris Humphries ruled out, Blair GTD, and Gooden playing Friday

Kris Humphries (knee) will miss another game tonight and Drew Gooden will be returning from a two-game absence. Gooden will back up Marcin Gortat and likely not play more than 15 minutes. Gooden is not a DFS option and will need an injury in front of him to garner significant playing time. DeJuan Blair is a game-time decision but he also should not be in any DFS lineups tonight.

Stephen Curry

Golden State Warriors
1/08/16, 5:34 PM ET

Steph Curry (shin) playing on Friday

Steph Curry will be playing with considerable padding on his shin tonight against the Blazers. Curry’s price is still high and this injury will likely keep his ownership levels low due to the large slate. He is a risky option and has not scored over 50FPs since his two-game absence. Klay Thompson will likely carry the scoring load tonight, but his price has also risen considerably. It is projected to be a high scoring contest with the Warriors favored, so look for Thompson to get his against an under-sized C.J. McCollum.

Kobe Bryant

Los Angeles Lakers
1/08/16, 5:24 PM ET

Kobe Bryant and D'Angelo Russell questionable to play tonight

Kobe Bryant led the team in scoring last night against the Kings but is questionable tonight with his shoulder injury. Bryant is a risk to play on back-to-back nights and should be avoided in a game projected to be a blowout. D’Angelo Russell also played well before injuring his ankle and is also listed as questionable for tonight. Russell is a rookie so expect the Lakers to be cautious with him and hold him out. Jordan Clarkson and Lou Williams become great options tonight but still carry considerable risk due to the blowout. Clarkson and Williams are GPP plays only but have played well in Bryant’s absence. In 7 games that Bryant has missed this season, Williams averages 18 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists. He did put up 8.25 FPs on DK in his last matchup with the Thunder, so this pick is not recommended for cash games. Clarkson is slightly cheaper on DraftKings and had 24 FPs in his last game against the Thunder.

Ronnie Price

Phoenix Suns
1/08/16, 4:21 PM ET

Ronnie Price doesn't go through shootaround, seems unlikely to play Friday

Price was deemed “questionable to doubtful” by Jeff Hornacek, which means he’s more likely than not to sit out tonight against the Heat. He actually started for the Suns on Wednesday with Devin Booker coming off the bench, but Booker ended up being the far better fantasy option and that will almost certainly be the case again tonight. The match-up with the Heat isn’t ideal for any of the Suns, but Booker is still a nice dollar per point target, especially on FanDuel.
