Derrick Rose a game-time decision tonight
Bulls Head Coach Fred Hoiberg stated that their star PG will warm up tonight before they determine whether he will play against the Knicks. He added that they will proceed with caution so chances are he won’t play. If he doesn’t go, it would likely be Kirk Hinrich that gets the start but Aaron Brooks is probably the better play for DFS options. Brooks put up a monster game their last game when Brooks was a last minute scratch.
As reported by: Nick Friedell on TwitterDeron Williams upgraded to probable for today's game
The Mavericks Head Coach Rick Carlisle stated that Deron Williams has been upgraded to probable for their game tonight against the Heat. It’s a tough match up as the Heat are 4th in the league in terms of fantasy points allowed and 3rd overall against PG’s. Look elsewhere at PG. This also effectively removes J.J. Barea from DFS consideration.
As reported by: Earl Sneed on TwitterElfrid Payton will play on Friday
Payton has never missed a game and that will not change today as Magic Head Coach Scott Skiles said he would play in their game against the Wizards. Payton has been shaky and inconsistent of late (partly due to injuries) and is best avoided for DFS purposes tonight.
As reported by: Josh Robbins on TwitterDamian Lillard out on Thursday
Damian Lillard has been confirmed as out for tonight’s contest against the Jazz and C.J. McCollum will get the start in his place. McCollum is a stud fantasy option tonight and should be able to put up the points. He does carry some risk as the Blazers are playing on the second night of a back-to-back and McCollum’s legs might not be there.
As reported by: Jason QuickDerrick Favors ruled out Thursday
The Jazz have ruled out Derrick Favors for tonight’s contest against the Blazers. Jeff Withey will be starting in his place and makes for a great punt option. Withey has been playing well and should easily be able to exceed value tonight. Look for Mason Plumlee to also have a solid game due to Withey’s lack of defense.
As reported by: Jazz Other tagged players: Jeff Withey, Mason PlumleeSuns starting Tyson Chandler and T.J. Warren in the frontcourt tonight
The Suns will start Tyson Chandler, T.J. Warren, and P.J. Tucker in the frontcourt tonight against the Thunder. The Suns are projected to be blown out so it will be tough to predict who will be the good play tonight. T.J. Warren gets garbage time as well, so if Warren can stay out of foul trouble he should get a bunch of time tonight. Mirza Teletović is the big man off the bench for the Suns and he is the sleeper pick tonight.
As reported by: Paul Coro Other tagged players: TJ Warren, P.J. Tucker, Mirza TeletovicDamian Lillard unlikely to play Thursday
Damian Lillard is unlikely to play tonight making C.J. McCollum an elite play again tonight. Lillard has missed 5 consecutive games, and is likely to miss another. Allen Crabbe also gets a bump in value since he will remain in the starting lineup.
As reported by: Casey HoldahlJon Leuer (ankle) out Thursday
Jon Leuer has been ruled out with an ankle injury and P.J. Tucker or Mirza Teletovic will start in his place. The Thunder are still projected to blow the Suns out, so Mirza is likely the better play even if he does not start. We will update when the starters are announced.
As reported by: Paul CoroStephen Curry and Festus Ezeli ruled out Thursday
Steph Curry has been ruled out for his second consecutive game and Shaun Livingston will likely start in his place. Livingston was heavily owned last night, and while he did hit value due to his low salary, he did not have the huge game most expected. Look for Livingston to bounce back again tonight against the Rockets with Ian Clark coming in as the backup PG. Clark played well in a blowout last night and should continue to exceed value in an uptempo high-scoring game tonight.
As reported by: Rusty SimmonsTerrence Jones returns tonight after missing one game with an illness
Terrence Jones will be returning tonight which will kill the DFS value of Donatas Motiejunas. Clint Capela will also likely see somewhat of a decreased workload with Jones returning. Look for Terrence Jones to get about 20 minutes tonight against the Warriors.
Other tagged players: Donatas Motiejunas, Clint CapelaGorgui Dieng confirmed starter tonight with Kevin Garnett resting
Gorgui Dieng will be starting tonight for the resting Kevin Garnett and should be inserted into your lineup. Dieng will look to continue his hot play against Ersan Ilyasova tonight. Look for Dieng to grab a bunch of rebounds while helping out Karl-Anthony Towns on Drummond.
As reported by: Timberwolves on Twitter Other tagged players: Kevin GarnettGorgui Dieng upside play tonight with KG out
The Timberwolves have already lised Kevin Garnett as out tonight, making Gorgui Dieng a strong play at C. In the last three games that Kevin Garnett has sat out, Gorgui Dieng has averaged 31.5 FPs on DK and 30 FPs on FD. His mid-range salary also allows for a good amount of roster flexibility. Dieng has quietly been consistent all season long and is coming off a 28.75 FPs night on DraftKings last night. Dieng does have double-double potential in him and also provided defensive stats to boost his value. Look for Dieng to secure 30 minutes tonight in a plus matchup against Ersan Ilyasova.
Other tagged players: Kevin Garnett, Ersan IlyasovaC.J. Miles inserted into the starting lineup Thursday
C.J. Miles resumes his starting position after missing multiple games with a back injury. Miles is in a nice spot to exceed value tonight against a Bucks team that does not defend the PF position well. Miles is only $5,100 on DK and his price has come down recently, making him playable now. Miles is a boom-or-bust option so expectations should be tempered.
As reported by: CF GardnerLavoy Allen starting at C tonight for the injured Ian Mahinmi
Lavoy Allen will be starting for the injured Ian Mahinmi tonight against the Bucks. Milwaukee is a poor rebounding team so Allen has a chance to get over 10 rebounds tonight. Lavoy Allen did score 10 points 38 minutes last night, but his ceiling is somewhat capped due to him being weaker on the offensive end of the floor. With C.J. Miles returning, Allen won’t be asked to score as much against a larger defender in Monroe.
As reported by: Pacers Other tagged players: Ian MahinmiJustice Winslow questionable, Josh McRoberts out on Friday
Winslow has missed the Heat’s past two games, which has led to some extra run for Luol Deng, Gerald Green and Tyler Johnson. None of the three are particularly strong DFS options even with Winslow out, and McRoberts absence won’t have any real DFS implications for the Heat. Hassan Whiteside should continue to see big minutes as long as he can stay out of foul trouble.
