Larry Nance starting for Julius Randle
The Lakers will change their starting lineup and put Larry Nance in for Julius Randle. The starters had not done much to lead the team to victory so Byron Scott wanted to change it up. Larry Nance is a viable punt target against the Raptors but this game could be a blowout in a hurry. All Lakers are risky propositions tonight and should only be used in tournaments or avoided all together.

Devin Harris ruled out for Monday
Harris’ absence leaves the door open once again for big minutes for Raymond Felton and Wesley Matthews alongside Deron Williams. Felton has played at least 34 minutes in each of the Mavericks past three games, and should cross 30+ yet again tonight. He’s a viable value target, but keep in mind this is the back end of a B2B and Felton played 38 minutes last night. He’s best utilized in tournaments tonight.

Lou Williams will be inserted into the starting lineup against his former team. Lou Williams can score and draw fouls but will be guarded by Kyle Lowry. The Raptors are tough defensive team and will make it hard for Williams to score. Williams does get a decent amount of steals, but the Raptors do not turn it over too much.

Both Wall and Humphries are game-time decisions tonight. The rough thing for those on non-late-swap sites is that this game starts a half hour after lock, so it’s possible we don’t have a definitive ruling on either player at that point. The Wizards front-court has been a total mess since Marcin Gortat has been out, and it’s not likely to be a strong unit to target in DFS again tonight. Both DeJuan Blair and Ryan Hollins offer no viable upside. If Wall were to sit, Ramon Sessions and Bradley Beal would see big boosts in value.
D'Angelo Russell and Julius Randle to come off the bench tonight
Byron Scott feels his 3-17 Lakers need a boost from the starters and will bring D’ Angelo Russell and Julius Randle off the bench for the next 5-10 games. Lou Williams and Larry Nance will be starting in their place and both players could see a bump in value due to the move to the starting lineup. Williams is likely to have the biggest bump, but he will be attacked by Kyle Lowry who should dominate him.

We don’t have an official Spurs starting lineup yet, but it appears that Matt Bonner may start for Tim Duncan. Even if he starts, there is no reason to roster Bonner as a DFS play. He likely won’t see more than 20 minutes and doesn’t offer much outside of 3PT shooting. Kyle Anderson has a similarly low floor, but he’s the stronger value target as far as potential Spurs starters go.

Carmelo Anthony has been questionable all day to play, but it seems his knee is ready to go tonight against the Mavs. Carmelo Anthony has a chance to explode in what should be an uptempo game. Anthony was questionable going into Monday after playing 32 minutes on Saturday.

Deng will sit tonight as expected. Gerald Green will presumably draw another start in his place, and is a viable punt play in GPPs, especially at $3,700 on FanDuel where he can be used in cash games. The problem with Green is that he is so dependent on scoring that if his shot isn’t falling, he can leave you with single digit FPs. Justice Winslow will also continue to see extended run off the bench, but he’s not involved much on offense and relies more on defensive stats to produce FPs.

Kyle Anderson starting for Kawhi Leonard
Kawhi Leonard is out tonight with an illness and Kyle Anderson will be starting in his place. Kyle Anderson makes for a solid punt option but hasn’t shown an extremely high ceiling so far this season. The Spurs have also listed Tim Duncan out and it is likely that we will see the entire bench tonight against the lowly Sixers.

Tim Duncan has now been ruled out in addition to Kawhi Leonard. This leaves the Spurs a little shorthanded and makes them a more appealing DFS target. Kyle Anderson is expected to start for Kawhi Leonard, while David West is likely to get the nod for Duncan, although the Spurs have still not said who will start for Duncan. Boris Diaw is also a candidate with Boban Marjonovic also a potential starter, although he’s just been recalled from the D-League and likely wouldn’t play more than 10-12 minutes even if he starts. We’ll provide an update on the Spurs starters before lock.

Okafor is apparently still dealing with symptoms of his illness and will not start on Monday. It’s unclear what type of playing time to expect from him off the bench, but we’d assume somewhere in the 20-27 minute range assuming his illness isn’t a bigger problem than the Sixers are describing. The Sixers will start McConnell, Canaan, Covington, Grant and Noel against the Spurs. None of the Sixers are strong DFS plays against a very tough Spurs defense, although they may stand a better chance with Kawhi Leonard already ruled out.

Hornets coach Steve Clifford mentioned that Kemba Walker will go through pregame warms up before his status is determined. The Hornets play in the first game of the night so we should have a status update before lineups lock. If Walker misses time Brian Roberts or Jeremey Lin may start in his place. Clifford does not want to mess with his rotation and may keep Lin coming off the bench.

Neither Irving or Shumpert will play tomorrow, but the fact that they are both practicing means a return is likely coming soon. Kyrie’s presence will kill the value of Mo Williams, who will only act as a back-up once Kyrie is back to playing regular minutes. Shumpert’s presence will also eat into J.R. Smith’s appeal – Smith has been playing huge minutes over the last 10-15 games for the Cavs, but he’ll fall back into the mid-to-high twenties once the Cavs are healthy.

Kobe Bryant expects to play tonight even though he has a stomach illness. His price has elevated and is the highest it’s been in the last three weeks. Bryant doesn’t make for a great play against the tough defense of the Raptors, even though he has a good history against them. Lou Williams makes for a better option with a cheaper price, going against the team he played on last year.

The Nuggets have listed Gallinari as questionable to play on Tuesday against the Magic. He is suffering from a left knee bone bruise, which could affect him even if he does play. The Nuggets are struggling with a ton of injuries team wide and could possibly start Will Barton or Darrell Arthur in his place.
