Trevor Booker starting for injured Rudy Gobert, Favors to C
The Jazz will be starting Trevor Booker tonight at PF and move Derrick Favors to C. Booker makes for a great punt play at his $4k salary and should see around 25-30 minutes. Favors is the elite choice with Gobert down, but he will be chalky. Favors will matchup against Vucevic and should have his way tonight. Booker will have to contribute with peripherals.

Gary Harris starting tonight, Foye back to the bench.
In a last minute lineup change, the Nuggets have placed Gary Harris in with the starters. The Nuggets now will be starting Mudiay, Harris, Gallinari, Arthur, and Lauvergne. Harris was recovering from a concussion and he passed the NBA concussion protocol.

Joffrey Lauvergne will start at center alongside Darrell Arthur at PF with Kenneth Faried out of the lineup. This moves Nikola Jokic back to the bench after a few poor games, and he is no longer in DFS consideration for tonight. Both Arthur and Lauvergne are viable punt plays in any format. Arthur has averaged just shy of 30 minutes per game when Faried has sat this season, but those games came without Lauvergne in the lineup. Both should see upwards of 25 minutes tonight.

Darrell Arthur starting for Kenneth Faried tonight
Darrell Arthur will be starting in place of the injured Kenneth Faried tonight against the Raptors. Arthur has been playing well recently but is definitely a boom-or-bust option. Even when he gets the minutes there are times when he does not produce, he should be in line for 30 minutes tonight against Luis Scola and Patrick Patterson, so there is a chance that he can succeed.

Johnson doesn’t have much of a role with DeRozan and Carroll both healthy, but he will be available if he’s needed Thursday against Denver. The Raptors seem much more content on rolling out Cory Joseph and Patrick Patterson as the main bench players in the regular rotation, and Terrence Ross’ presence also eliminates the need for Johnson to see anymore than 8-10 minutes a night. There aren’t any real fantasy implications as a result of this news.

Gerald Green will be making another start in place of the injured Luol Deng. Green is tough to recommend against Kevin Durant even on a short slate. Green could get into foul trouble giving way to some extra minutes for Justise Winslow. The Heat really have no answer for Durant and he is an elite play.

The Nuggets have ruled out Kenneth Faried from tonight’s game due to an ankle injury. His replacement has not been named, but it is likely going to be Darrell Arthur. The Nuggets could get blown out by the Raptors, so there could be a lot of garbage time to go around for Nikola Jokic, Joffrey Lauvergne, or Will Barton.

The Heat have ruled out Luol Deng and Amar’e Stoudemire for tonight’s contest against the Thunder. Gerald Green will likely get another start in Deng’s place but is not a great option against Kevin Durant. Stoudemire has been out for five games now, so there is not too much of a change to their frontcourt rotation.

He’s dealing with gastroenteritis and is doubtful to play tonight in Mexico City. With Casspi out, expect Marco Belinelli to see extra run off the bench, and Caron Butler may be able to find his way onto the court as well. Rudy Gay may also see a slight bump in minutes. Gay isn’t a core play with DeMarcus Cousins healthy, but he’s a potential tournament option, as is Belinelli. Boston plays at a very fast pace but has been fairly good defensively on the year.

The Nuggets have ruled out Gary Harris again due to a concussion. Randy Foye is his likely replacement but does not provide much DFS value. Foye has been off with his shot and does not really have a chance at getting it going against DeMar DeRozan. There is an outside chance the Nuggets will start Will Barton due to the size mismatch Foye has on DeRozan. Nothing is official outside of Harris being ruled out, so we’ll keep you updated once the news hits.

Holiday, Evans, Asik, Gee, Davis are likely the starting five on Friday against the Cavs. Jrue Holiday missed one game due to rest on the second night of a back-to-back. Tyreke Evans should once again be an elite option along with Anthony Davis. Alonzo Gee will be tasked with guarding LeBron, so he has relatively no value.

Faried played 28 minutes last night and his ankle is apparently feeling the effects today. Luckily the Nuggets are on the road in Toronto, so we may have news on Faried before lineups lock on non late-swap sites (the game tips at 7:30 ET). Assuming he sits, both Nikola Jokic and Darrell Arthur would see big upticks in value, with Danilo Gallinari also seeing a slight bump in usage. If Faried is able to play, he’s an interesting contrarian play in tournaments against Luis Scola, who won’t be able to hang with his athleticism.

The Mavericks Head Coach Rick Carlisle said his veteran point guard would miss his fourth straight game on Friday. This isn’t a huge impact in regards to DFS but does mean Raymond Felton will continue to see increased playing time off of the bench. While Felton often doesn’t do much when he is on the court, he’s at a price point across the industry where he is a viable value play and he’s at least somewhat consistent in his production.

The Wizards big man will miss the next two games as he travels to Poland to deal with a family emergency. Kris Humphries and Nene Hilario would appear to be the likely DFS beneficiaries of this unfortunate news.
