Greivis Vasquez will not play Monday
Vasquez will miss another game on Monday, opening up big minutes for new starter Jerryd Bayless, who is far too cheap given the minutes he’s expected to see. Bayless can be confidently plugged into a lineup in any format on Monday. Michael Carter-Williams will see time behind Bayless, but he’s been a disaster of late and isn’t expected to see many minutes. O.J. Mayo also benefits with Vasquez out.

Bucks to start Bayless, Mayo, Middleton, Antetokounmpo, Monroe
Bayless is the most appealing target of the group here because of his price, but the entire starting five is squarely in play tonight. Mayo is still a solid value target given that he’s expected to cross the 30 minute mark as a starter, although Kidd’s rotations can be fluid. Middleton and Antetokounmpo are both solid targets, but both are better utilized as GPP targets. Middleton does have a nice ceiling relative to his price. Greg Monroe is a strong target in any format against a weak Nuggets interior. They’ve allowed the 2nd most FPs to centers this season.

J.J. Barea is hopeful that his ankle injury will heal up enough for him to play on Friday against the Rockets. Barea is set to miss tonight against the Kings and his absence gives a bump in value to Raymond Felton and Devin Harris. Felton is likely to see over 30 minutes and would be the punt PG option.

Tyreke Evans, Norris Cole officially listed as questionable for Tuesday
Evans and Cole both seem to be on the right side of the questionable tag, which would certainly muddy the waters in terms of rotations at the guard/wing spots. Evans and Cole will greatly diminish the value of Ish Smith, who is still seeing big minutes with Jrue Holiday working his way back to full strength. Eric Gordon’s value also takes a dip if the Pelicans don’t want to keep running him for heavy minutes night in and night out.

Chris Bosh missed this morning’s shootaround with the illness, but it’s not enough to keep him out of action tonight. Bosh is an appealing GPP target in a pace-up game with the Celtics, and his illness should keep his ownership percentage very low. If it turns out Bosh can’t go, Hassan Whiteside, Dwyane Wade, Gerald Green and Justice Winslow would all see value bumps.

Ricky Rubio has been struggling all season with his ankle injury and is listed as questionable for tomorrow’s game against the Magic. If Rubio does indeed give it a go he will make for a great under-owned play, and diminish some of Zach LaVine’s shine. LaVine has been playing well in Rubio’s absence, but his slightly elevated salary makes him a riskier option with Rubio back.

The Kings have listed DeMarcus Cousins probable for tonight’s game against Dallas. Cousins is likely to play making him an elite option against Dallas. Cousins should not have a minutes restriction and will be relied upon heavily to carry the offense. Rudy Gay’s value gets diminished and Omri Casspi will likely go back to the bench. Kosta Koufos’ run of exceeding value will also end with Cousins return.

Raymond Felton has averaged 29.3 minutes a game over his last three. J.J. Barea is set to miss tonight’s game against the Kings, making Felton an elite GPP value option. Sacramento likes to go two-point guards with Rondo and Collison, and the Mavs have used a Williams and Felton backcourt this season when Wes Matthews or Chandler Parsons missed games. Felton should see over 30 minutes and have ample opportunity to produce in a game where Kings will try to push the pace.
Jeff Teague upside GPP play Monday
Jeff Teague plays in the 2nd highest implied total game of the night. With so many points to go around, Teague’s assist numbers will be higher than usual. Defensively, Teague averages 1.3 steals a game, but in a high paced game with Russell Westbrook’s turnovers, Teague can easily pick up 2 or more. With Teague coming off a poor showing in San Antonio, his ownership percentage will definitely be lower than usual.
Rubio expected to play Tuesday
To follow up on our previous update, Sam Mitchell has said that Rubio is expected to play tomorrow. Considering he practiced fully today, we’ll take Mitchell at his word. Rubio has some contrarian GPP appeal, but he carries a fair amount of risk with the T’Wolves not having any good reason to push him for big minutes.

We don’t know anything definitive, but it’s definitely a good sign that Rubio was able to practice fully today. With that said, the Wolves seem to be very cautious with Rubio, so we’ll need to see confirmation on his status. If he were to sit out, Zach LaVine becomes an elite mid-range play.

Tyreke Evans is expected to make his season debut tomorrow against Memphis. While he’s expected to be on a minutes restriction for at least a few games, his presence does eat into the value of Ish Smith, who has been putting up big minutes with a full allotment of playing time with Jrue Holiday still very limited. Smith shouldn’t suffer much until Evans is playing 20+ minutes per game, but it’s going to be much harder to justify playing him now that Evans is lurking. Outside of Anthony Davis, none of the Pelicans are particularly appealing against the Grizzlies.

He said he felt good practicing today and that if his ankle feels good tomorrow that he expects to make his season debut. He won’t have much, if any, DFS value in a Pelican’s rotation already cluttered up by the likes of Jrue Holiday and Ish Smith.

DeMarcus Cousins takes part in shootaround, on track to play Monday
While nothing official has come out of the Kings camp, their star big man did take part in this morning’s shootaround – a likely indicator that he will play tonight after missing the last three games. While pricey, Cousins is always in play in both cash and GPP’s due to his ability to dominate a game. As long as his minutes aren’t said to be limited, fire him up confidently. Kosta Koufos’ value takes a big hit with Cousins back, and the usage for Rudy Gay should drop a little.

The two players have yet to play this season but that looks as if it could be changing soon as both practiced today in limited fashion according to Head Coach David Blatt. Irving’s return will particularly be a hit to the DFS value of both Mo Williams and Matthew Dellavedova as they will return to limited roles.
