Trevor Siemian misses practice again; Paxton Lynch looking like likely starter
The Broncos starting QB has not practiced all week and his status for this week is in doubt. It’s looking more and more like Paxton Lynch will get the start when Denver takes on Jacksonville. The Jaguars have a solid pass defense (13th in DVOA) and if anything this makes their DST an appealing option given the low total, Lynch at QB, and them being at home.

Marquise Goodwin injures wrist in practice; does not finish
Goodwin suffered a wrist injury in practice and left early – no word on the severity yet or if it will impact his ability to play this week but it’d be a huge hit for a depleted Bills receiving corps that will likely be missing Percy Harvin and Robert Woods and have an ailing Sammy Watkins at their #1 WR.

Patton is taking part in the San Francisco practice today in a blue jersey; an indication that he has been cleared for non-contact activity while in the concussion protocol. It’s a step in the right direction for the WR as the team prepares to face a Bears team that is 14th in Pass DVOA. There are better options out there than unreliable 49ers receiving threats like Patton.

Sources have stated that the star Patriots TE is likely to undergo back surgery in the immediate future. There’s no timetable yet but it’s not looking good and he’ll certainly be out this week when they take on the Rams. Martellus Bennett will take over the starting role and while he has done better when Gronk has been in the lineup, he’ll still be worthy of consideration given the high total the Patriots have.

Sources have reported that Jordan Reed is unlikely to play this week against the Cardinals due to the shoulder injury he sustained on Thanksgiving Day. Vernon Davis will be an affordable TE option but faces a tough match up against an Arizona defense that is 2nd in TE DVOA.

He missed Minnesota’s last game and has been listed as questionable all week but should play tonight against the Cowboys. Facing a Cowboys defense that isn’t as good as it seems (28th in Pass DVOA), Diggs could be a great under owned option (although his ownership could be inflated by those wanting to roster players from the Thursday Night game).

It’s the same story as yesterday as the two Buffalo WR’s missed practice again. It’s looking as if they will not play this week leaving Sammy Watkins and Marquise Goodwin (along with TE Charles Clay and RB LeSean McCoy) as the primary receiving threats for the Bills. They face a Raiders defense that is 29th in total DVOA and 24th in pass DVOA putting those four players on the map along with QB Tyrod Taylor as viable DFS options (McCoy being the clear top option on the team).

The up-and-coming Miami WR missed his second consecutive practice with a back injury and his status for their game against the Ravens is up in the air. Baltimore has been solid on defense all season (4th in total DVOA, 10th in Pass DVOA) so it would have been tough to roster Parker even without any injury concerns. That said local media seems to think it could be a big week for Leonte Carroo if Parker can’t go – he could be worthy of a GPP dart throw or two at his price point.

Four key players in the Jaguars offense all missed practice today. Julius Thomas (back), Allen Hurns (hamstring), T.J. Yeldon (ankle), and Chris Ivory (hamstring) all were non-participants. Thomas is the most likely not to play leaving Ben Koyack as the starter. The RB situation is interesting to say the least and if both Yeldon and Ivory can’t go then it’ll be Denard Robinson getting the start against a Broncos defense that is 25th in Run DVOA. He’s interesting as a value option but is very high-risk. Hurns has been passed by Marqise Lee as the teams WR #2 and facing the top-ranked Broncos pass defense he wouldn’t be a viable option regardless. We’ll continue to monitor the Jaguars injury situation and update you as more news comes in.

The Eagles WR left the Monday Night Football game early with an ankle injury but should be fine to play this weekend after practicing today. The Eagles face a Bengals defense that is 20th in Pass DVOA but with a struggling pass offense led by Carson Wentz (one that could only put up 13 points against the horrific Packers defense) he’s not a recommended DFS option. RB Ryan Mathews looks as if he will miss another game as he is still not practicing. That’ll mean more Darren Sproles and Wendell Smallwood – Sproles is viable on PPR sites, Smallwood has yet to show any fantasy appeal.

Mathieu (shoulder) returned to action this past weekend, and should be all set to take on the Redskins in Week 13. Peterson suffered a knee injury against the Falcons but was fortunate to come away without anything serious. He is also expected to play, but we probably won’t know for sure until the weekend. As one of the best corners in the league, his shadow coverage presents a tough matchup for any receiver in the league; just ask Julio Jones, who was limited to four receptions for 35 yards in Week 12. However, he may be limited with is injury and could end up sticking to one side of the field. We’ll get a better sense of the Cardinals’ plans for Pat P. later in the week. If he ends up following DeSean Jackson or Jamison Crowder, it would be an obvious downgrade for them.

Derek Carr (finger) practices with glove Wednesday
Carr dislocated his pinky in two places on Sunday. He’s expected to play through the injury in Week 13 against the Bills, who rank 19th in pass DVOA. Carr is 5th in the NFL in passing yards (3,115) and 7th in touchdowns (22). We’re projecting him as our QB8 on both FanDuel and DraftKings this week.

Beckham suffered the injury on Sunday, which cost him some snaps. He still managed to have a big game against the Browns, going off for a 6/96/2 line. Beckham told reporters he was fine earlier and he wasn’t even listed on the injury report today. New York heads to Pittsburgh this weekend, who rank 13th in pass DVOA and have given up the third-fewest passing touchdowns (13) this season. They struggle defending the WR1 position though, ranking 30th in DVOA against those receivers.

The extent of the injury is not immediately clear, it’ll be important to see whether he can get back to practice tomorrow or Friday. Ingram was named the NFC Offensive Player of the Week after he racked up 167 yards and two touchdowns against the Rams. We’ll learn more when the Saints practice tomorrow.

Green Bay didn’t hold a practice today, so his limited participation is an estimation. Rodgers tweaked his hamstring during their Monday night game with the Eagles. He’s expected to play Sunday against Houston. Over the past five weeks, Rodgers has averaged 37.8 yards rushing, but that may take a dip this week due to his injury. Still, Rodgers has been on fire the past two weeks, averaging 332 yards, 2.0 touchdowns, 0 interceptions, and a 115.9 passer rating, and will be an elite option against the Texans in Week 13.
