T.Y. Hilton did not practice Thursday

Hilton is dealing with a hip injury that kept him sidelined during practice Thursday. At this point, we’re expecting him to play; he didn’t practice last Thursday either. Phillip Dorsett is also expected to play as he returned to full practice today. They face Kansas City Sunday, who ranks 9th in pass DVOA, according to Football Outsiders.

Russell Wilson expected to play through pectoral injury

Wilson has suffered a plethora of injuries already this year, and he now has a pectoral injury in addition to his sprained MCL. He was limited yesterday, and he won’t really be testing it until Sunday. This is unfortunate timing for fantasy players as he’s playing in the Superdome this weekend. Even though it’s a nice spot, this injury makes him a risky play as his ability to throw the ball may be hindered. Plus, his knee injury already took away his capacity to pick up fantasy points on the ground. At this point, it doesn’t seem like he’ll be a strong option against the Saints.

Lamar Miller

New Orleans Saints
10/27/16, 3:49 PM ET

Lamar Miller practiced again Thursday

Coach Bill O’Brien still considers Miller day-to-day after he injured his shoulder against the Broncos in Week 7. We’re expecting him to play Sunday when the Texans host the Lions. Houston is 4-0 at home this season and 0-3 on the road. Lamar Miller’s four highest rushing games are the four he played at home. Detroit is allowing 4.6 yards per carry, which is the 7th most in the league. The primary concern for Miller is the Lions have only allowed two rushing touchdowns on the season, although that figure is so low because their pass defense is horrendous and opposing offenses attack them through the air. Given Osweiler’s struggles to pass the ball this season, the Texans may want to depend on Miller more than their quarterback. Miller should get plenty of touches and some scoring opportunities against Detroit.

Randall Cobb

New York Jets

Randall Cobb has very limited practice Thursday

Cobb is currently dealing with a hamstring injury that kept him limited yesterday as well. Today he was considered a participant in practice, but spent most of his time watching from the sidelines on a bike. If he can play this weekend, he’ll have a nice matchup with the Falcons, especially considering Desmond Trufant will likely focus his attention on Jordy Nelson. We’ll know more about Cobb’s Week 8 status when the Packers practice tomorrow.

Jordan Reed clears concussion protocol; will travel with team to London

It’s all systems go for the Redskins star TE as he has been cleared from the league concussion protocol and will travel with the team to London for their game with the Bengals. He is, as always, a top option at the position. Vernon Davis is no longer a viable option.

Update - Tyrell Williams does practice

We’d reported previously that Williams had missed practice but he jogged onto the field, helmet in hand, after the warm up period. Good sign that he will play this weekend against the Broncos after all.

Tyrell Williams misses practice again

Tyrell Williams and Travis Benjamin were both given the day off from practice on Wednesday to rest their knee injuries. Benjamin returned to practice today but Williams did not – cause concern heading into their weekend tilt with the Broncos. Williams has been blossoming of late and even despite a tough match up against the Broncos would have some appeal as one of Philip Rivers primary red zone targets. We’ll keep you updated on both Chargers receivers’ status heading into Sunday.

C.J. Anderson to have surgery on torn meniscus; likely headed to IR

Updating previous reports, the Broncos RB will be having surgery to repair torn meniscus in his right knee and will likely be headed to the injured reserve list as the repair procedure will require intensive rehab thus ending his season. Devontae Booker becomes the feature back for the Broncos.

Matt Jones

Matt Jones doesn't practice due to knee injury

Jones hurt his knee Sunday and is not practicing today. His status for Sunday is uncertain as of now. Rob Kelley would likely get the start if Jones can’t go and would be a viable value option at RB. Chris Thompson would also likely get a bump is usage. We’ll update you with any news that comes in on this situation.

Marvin Jones

Detroit Lions
10/27/16, 1:06 PM ET

The Lions are getting healthy

Marvin Jones was among those practicing for the Lions today after missing practice yesterday. He was joined by Dwayne Washington, Theo Riddick, and Eric Ebron – that group of three practiced for the second straight day, an encouraging sign after they have missed multiple weeks. The Lions travel to Houston this week in what should be a relatively high scoring affair putting Jones and Riddick in play for DFS purposes. Ebron has a tough match up and coming off an injury it is best to look elsewhere at the TE position.

Devonta Freeman

Devonta Freeman full participant in practice; Tevin Coleman doesn't practice

Freeman has been dealing with a hip injury but looks to be ok as he was listed as a full participant in practice today. It’s a good thing too as it looks as if Tevin Coleman won’t be able to play this week against the Packers as he missed another practice. Freeman is a fine play against the Packers given his expected workload and usage.

Jerick McKinnon

Jerick McKinnon in protective boot

The Vikings RB was seen in a protective boot on his injured foot today putting into question whether he will play Monday Night against the Bears or not. If he is unable to go, Matt Asiata should get the bulk of the work and would be a viable value option at the RB position. McKinnon has an extra day to recover so we’ll keep an eye on this situation and update you when more clarification is given.

Cody Kessler doesn't practice; Josh McCown should be starter

Kessler continues to not practice and all signs are pointing to Josh McCown returning as the Browns starting QB when they take on the Jets this week. The Jets have been horrific in pass coverage putting McCown squarely on the map as a value option this week.

LeSean McCoy

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
10/27/16, 11:59 AM ET

LeSean McCoy and Marquise Goodwin not practicing for Bills

Nothing surprising here as McCoy is recovering from a hamstring injury and Goodwin is dealing with a concussion. McCoy will be much like last week where we won’t know his official status until right before game time – it’s a tough situation to deal with and even if McCoy plays he is at risk of reinjuring his hamstring like he did last week. Goodwin seems unlikely to play, a blow for the Bills given his recent performance. Robert Woods did practice, however, and looks as if he will play this weekend. We’ll keep you updated on the Bills injury situation as the week continues to progress.

C.J. Anderson

Detroit Lions
10/27/16, 11:42 AM ET

Rumors surfacing that C.J. Anderson is done for the year

Ian Rapaport has reported that C.J. Anderson has told those close to him that he is done for the season. This conflicts with earlier reports from Adam Schefter who said he did not suffer an ACL tear and would just miss some time with his knee bruise. Anderson himself took to twitter saying Rapaport’s tweet was false before later deleting his tweets. We’ll obviously keep a close eye on this situation and report when we hear anything new. For now we know one thing – Anderson won’t play this week and Devontae Booker will be the megachalk taking over for him.
