Nelson Agholor to practice
The rookie wide out returned to practice today. He’s been a virtual blip on the fantasy scene so this doesn’t have much relevance for DFS purposes, especially considering they are facing a Cowboys defense that is tough against the pass.

Vernon Davis traded to the Broncos
Davis must be ecstatic to move to a competent offense that will include him in the passing game. Owen Daniels and Virgil Green are still on the roster, and it seems like Daniels will suffer more as a result of this since Green is the far superior blocker. Davis won’t necessarily take on the Julius Thomas role (from a performance perspective), but he’s an upgrade over Daniels and will provide Peyton Manning with another viable target in the passing game.

Dez Bryant officially active
Dez will return on Sunday against Seattle, but he’s not a strong DFS play until Tony Romo is healthy. He’s in a very tough matchup against Seattle’s secondary.
Eric Decker active against Oakland
Decker will play on Sunday against Oakland. He’s worth a look as a tournament play, but this news downgrades the already limited appeal of Jeremy Kerley. Brandon Marshall may have seen a few extra targets without Decker, but this news doesn’t change his outlook much.
John Brown active, will play Sunday
Brown appears to be good to go on Sunday after testing his hamstring in pre-game warmups. This is a blow to the DFS value of Michael Floyd, and Brown himself is best utilized as a large-field tournament play against Cleveland.

This was believed to the be the case, so just passing along confirmation to those who have been tracking the news. Ladarius Green is no longer a DFS cash game option with Gates healthy. McCown is best left untouched against a stingy Cardinals defense.
Anquan Boldin inactive on Sunday
A balky hamstring will keep Boldin out of the 49ers lineups in St. Louis on Sunday. With Carlos Hyde also out, the 49ers offense will be missing most of its firepower, and they were already in a tough spot as it was against an elite Rams defense. The Rams D/ST unit is the top option of the weekend at the position. Reggie Bush is the only 49ers skill player with any DFS intrigue.

Both players were listed as doubtful coming in, so this is just confirmation. With Louis Murphy (ACL) also out, look for Donteea Dye to see a big increase in his snap count as the starting WR opposite Mike Evans. Dye is a very interesting punt play at WR given the expected game flow (the Bucs should be forced to throw a lot), and despite Atlanta’s Cover 3 scheme which doesn’t usually lead to extra attention on a particular WR, the Falcons may try to throw some extra resources at defending Evans. Dye is a viable GPP target this afternoon.

There still isn’t a whole lot of clarity here, but it sounds like John Brown is on the right side of the questionable tag. He’s going to test his hamstring pre-game, as team doctors are apparently not sold on his health. It’s worth keeping in mind that the Cardinals have a bye next week, which would give them a great opportunity to rest Brown today so that he can recover for a full two weeks. Brown is a risky DFS play if he suits up, but he is in a plus match-up with a below-average Browns secondary. Treat him as an upside GPP play if he’s active and not limited.

He’s been outplaying C.J. Anderson for a few weeks now, so this isn’t earth-shattering news. The Broncos had a Week 7 bye to judge their early season roster, and it appears they’ve realized that Hillman is running with more burst and gives the Broncos a better shot at moving the ball on the ground, something they’ve really struggled to do consistently. Anderson is still expected to be involved, so don’t go crazy with Hillman this week in DFS. He’s not cash game playable, but does offer some sneaky GPP appeal.

This is a big blow to the DFS value of Ladarius Green, who is now not playable as anything more than a deep GPP play. Gates hasn’t practiced in two weeks, but he’s apparently healthy enough to suit up against a Baltimore defense that has bee a sieve to the pass this year. There aren’t any reports indicating Gates will be limited, but he’s a risky cash game option this afternoon. He’s an upside GPP play for now.

Though the Giants haven’t revealed how they will utilize their crowded RB rotation against the Saints on Sunday, Orleans Darkwa is likely to be given another opportunity to carve out a consistent role after rushing for 48 yards and a touchdown in last weekend’s win over the Cowboys. Even if he’s able to pick up another handful of carries (he had 8 last week), Dwarka isn’t a strong DFS option this week. He wasn’t given his first carries of the season until this past week’s game, and that coupled with the overall uncertainty in the backfield makes this a situation to avoid.

The ex-rugby star has been cut by San Francisco. With Carlos Hyde set to miss Sunday’s game, Reggie Bush and Mike Davis will split the RB work with Kendall Gaskins potentially seeing a few snaps. Bush is the preferred DFS play among the 49ers RBs, but none of them are particularly attractive in a road matchup with the Rams. If you are punting a RB spot on a full-point PPR site like DraftKings, Bush is an option.

He wasn’t cleared to practice at all during the week, so this isn’t much of a surprise. Now that Davante Adams is healthy, Montgomery’s growing snap rate will decline when he returns. The Broncos have one of the league’s strongest all around defenses, so this may be a good week to lay off of the Packers skill position players in cash games. Both Aaron Rodgers and Randall Cobb are interesting tournament targets that should come at low ownership rates.

He was a surprise inactive last week after being medically cleared to play, but there’s little doubt he plays tomorrow. He’s the only Chiefs receiver worth targeting in DFS this weekend, and is a candidate for double-digit targets almost every week. The Lions have coughed up big games to Alshon Jeffrey and Stefon Diggs the past two weeks.
