DEN RB Mike Boone will be activated from IR to the active roster for Sunday
Mike Boone will be activated from IR to the active roster for Sunday’s contest against the Las Vegas Raiders. Boone is expected to mainly play on special teams but could see a carry or two if Melvin Gordon (questionable) is ruled out. Even if this is the case he should not be DFS relevant as he is behind Javonte Williams and Damarea Crockett on the depth chart.
As reported by: Troy RenckWAS WR Antonio Gandy-Golden elevated from practice squad for Sunday
Antonio Gandy-Golden has been elevated from the practice squad for Sunday’s game against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Washington Football team is thin at the wide receiver position so Gandy-Golden has been elevated to provide depth. He is not DFS relevant at this point.
As reported by: Dan GrazianoDAL TE Jeremy Sprinkle and RB Nick Ralston signed to active roster from practice squad
Jeremy Sprinkle and Nick Ralston have been signed to the active roster from the practice squad ahead of Sunday’s contest with the New England Patriots. Both Sprinkle and Ralston are expected to provide depth or play on special teams and are not currently DFS relevant.
As reported by: Michael Gehlken Other tagged players: Nick RalstonMIN TE Luke Stocker elevated from practice squad
Luke Stocker has been elevated from the practice squad for Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers. The Vikings ruled out Ben Ellefson yesterday due to a knee injury and needed a third tight end so Stocker was elevated. Stocker is expected to provide depth behind Tyler Conklin and Chris Herndon with Conklin expected to see the heavy majority of snaps. Stocker’s elevation should have no impact in DFS contests this weekend.
As reported by: Adam BeasleyGBP WR Juwann Winfree elevated from practice squad
Juwann Winfree has been elevated from the practice squad ahead of Sunday’s contest with the Chicago Bears. Winfree is expected to provide receiver depth and play on special teams but is not DFS relevant at this time.
As reported by: Green Bay PackersJAC K Matthew Wright added to active roster; WR Laquon Treadwell elevated from practice squad
Matthew Wright has been added to the active roster and is expected to continue to handle the kicking duties for the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday when they take on the Miami Dolphins in London. In addition to this move, the Jaguars have elevated Laquon Treadwell from the practice squad. Treadwell should serve as receiver depth and is not DFS relevant at this time.
As reported by: Michael DiRocco Other tagged players: Laquon TreadwellCIN RB Trayveon Williams elevated from practice squad for Sunday
Trayveon Williams elevated from practice squad for Sunday when the Bengals are set to take on the Detroit Lions. This was the expected move after Samaje Perine had been placed on the COVID list earlier in the week, Williams is expected to be the third running back behind Joe Mixon (who is set to see a full workload according to his coach) and Chris Evans. Williams is not expected to be DFS relevant as long as both Mixon and Evans stay healthy.
As reported by: Aaron WilsonCAR RB Christian McCaffrey placed on IR; RB Spencer Brown elevated from practice squad
Christian McCaffrey has been placed on IR and will be forced to miss the next 3 games at minimum. McCaffrey had already been ruled out for tomorrow meaning Chuba Hubbard was going to lead the backfield but now it looks like that will be the case for the next few weeks. Rod Smith, who handled most of the passing down work the last couple of weeks, was released by the Panthers earlier this week so his role will be up for grabs. Hubbard could become more of a three down back or Royce Freeman or the newly elevated Spencer Brown could take over this role. We will find out a lot more this Sunday when the Panthers take on the Minnesota Vikings but the best outcome from a DFS perspective would be Hubbard becoming a workhorse back.
As reported by: Aaron Wilson Other tagged players: Spencer BrownCLE WR Jarvis Landry will not be activated off of IR for Sunday
Jarvis Landry, who was designated for return this week from IR will not be activated off of IR for Sunday’s game against the Arizona Cardinals. This means it will be another week with Odell Beckham Jr. serving as the top wide receiver option with Donovan Peoples-Jones and Rashard Higgins also available. The Browns love using their tight ends so it could be another week where Austin Hooper and David Njoku are featured in the passing game. Although this game could be high scoring it is difficult to rely on anyone outside of Kareem Hunt (who should see massive volume with Nick Chubb ruled out) as OBJ has yet to consistently contribute and the tight ends are in a time share.
As reported by: Nate UlrichIND WR T.Y. Hilton activated off IR; K Rodrigo Blakenship placed on IR; K Michael Badgley elevated from practice squad
T.Y. Hilton has been activated off IR and will play Sunday against the Houston Texans. Hilton could be on some sort of snap count as he is making his season debut but should slot in as the number two receiving option for the Colts behind Michael Pittman. This will likely lead to Zach Pascal and Paris Campbell seeing fewer snaps and hurting their value going forward. In addition to Hilton’s return the Colts also made some moves involving their kicking position, Rodrigo Blakenship has been placed on IR and will be forced to miss at least the next three games with a hip injury and Michael Badgley has been elevated from the practice squad and should handle the kicking duties this week for Indianapolis.
As reported by: Doug Kyed Other tagged players: Rodrigo Blankenship, Michael BadgleyMIA QB Tua Tagovailoa activated off IR to active roster and expected to start Sunday; WR Isaiah Ford and WR Kirk Merritt have been elevated from practice squad
As expected, Tua Tagovailoa has been activated off Injured Reserve to the active 53 man roster and is expected to start Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars in London. Tua has been trending in the right direction this week and his return should give a boost to almost all members of the offense. In addition to Tua being activated, Isaiah Ford and Kirk Merritt have been elevated from practice squad and should serve as receiver depth for the Dolphins behind Jaylen Waddle, Preston Williams, and Mack Hollins (DeVante Parker was ruled out yesterday). Tua should obviously be considered for the showdown slate Sunday morning as well as his top pass catchers Jaylen Waddle and Mike Gesicki with Preston Williams being a good value option.
As reported by: Adam Schefter Other tagged players: Isaiah Ford, Kirk MerrittDAL RB Ezekiel Elliott listed questionable for Sunday but expected to play
Ezekiel Elliott has been listed as questionable for Sunday when the Cowboys are set to take on the New England Patriots. Elliott is expected to be able to suit up but if he were unable to Tony Pollard would be the lead back for the Cowboys with Corey Clement available to back him up. Pollard would immediately become one of the top plays on the slate as he has proven to be dependable without Elliott and would offer tremendous value and upside.
As reported by: David HelmanARI RB Chase Edmonds listed questionable for Sunday
Chase Edmonds has been listed as questionable for Sunday when the Cardinals are set to take on the Cleveland Browns. Edmonds has been dealing with a shoulder injury and if he were to miss James Connor would become the primary running back for the Cardinals with Jonathan Ward and Eno Benjamin available to back him up. Conner would become one of the more intriguing options on the slate as the primary running back in one of the most explosive offenses in football.
As reported by: Darren UrbanNYG RB Saquon Barkley and WR Kenny Golladay ruled out for Sunday; WR Kadarius Toney and WR Darius Slayton questionable; QB Daniel Jones cleared to play
As expected, Saquon Barkley and Kenny Golladay have been ruled out for Sunday when the Giants are set to take on the Los Angeles Rams. With Barkley out Devontae Booker should lead the backfield with Elijhaa Penny and Gary Brightwell available to back him up. Booker should be considered a good value option at running back this week though it is not a favorable matchup with the Rams defense. Kadarius Toney and Darius Slayton have been listed as questionable but they seem likely to play and should have a larger than normal role with Golladay ruled out. Daniel Jones has been cleared to play after going through the concussion protocol and can be considered even in a tough matchup this week.
As reported by: Dan Duggan Other tagged players: Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney, Darius Slayton, Daniel JonesNEP RB Damien Harris, RB J.J. Taylor, and K Nick Folk listed as questionable for Sunday
Damien Harris, J.J. Taylor, and Nick Folk have all been listed as questionable for Sunday when the Patriots are set to take on the Dallas Cowboys. If Harris or Taylor were to be ruled out the Patriots’ other running backs (Brandon Bolden and Rhamondre Stevenson) would be forced to carry the load making them all slightly better plays. It is unlikely that true winner would emerge though due to the way that Coach Bill Belichick deploys his running backs. If Nick Folk were unable to suit up the Patriots might have to get creative with their kicking duties as the only other kicker on the roster is on the IR.
