Mark Andrews is on the COVID-19 reserve list, and is not expected to play Tuesday. He is a type 1 diabetic, so there could be additional risk for him from COVID-19.

While James Conner is eligible to come off Reserve/COVID-19 list on Monday, he is still considered unlikely to play. Conner’s positive test was reported last Saturday, meaning he hasn’t been able to participate in team activities or practice for over a week. The Steelers appear to want Conner to get some regular work in before playing a game, meaning Benny Snell and Anthony McFarland will get additional work Monday night.

Ian Rapoport reported early Sunday morning that Phillip Lindsay, Jerry Jeudy, Tua Tagovailoa and Cam Newton are all expected to play. It is worth confirming that each player is still in once their team releases inactives, but they all are likely to play barring some type of set back.

Adam Schefter’s early Sunday news dump mainly consisted of confirming that questionable players are expected to play: Allen Robinson, Darnell Mooney, Julio Jones, Todd Gurley, Carlos Hyde, and Kalen Ballage are all expected to play. Colt McCoy is also expected to start for Daniel Jones. These players’ statuses will be confirmed when inactives come out, but they all appear fairly safe to play today.

The Dolphins activated Myles Gaskin off of injured reserve, indicating that he will be good to go as the lead back Sunday. With Patrick Laird and Malcolm Perry behind him, Gaskin should work as the clear top back in a game where the Dolphins are heavy favorites.

Alexander Mattison has been ruled out for tomorrow, meaning Mike Boone will work as the backup RB. Regardless of the backup, Dalvin Cook should get all the work he can handle.

D’Andre Swift has been downgraded to doubtful for Sunday, meaning he will likely miss his third straight game. That means Adrian Peterson and Kerryon Johnson will again share the Lions’ backfield. The carries have leaned slightly towards Peterson the past two weeks, while Johnson is much more involved in the passing game.

The Ravens have activated Mark Ingram from the COVID-19 list, and they are slowly getting their roster back and active. The COVID-19 outbreak that limited the Ravens in Week 12 appears to have passed, and they’re likely to have most of their players back by their Week 13 game.

The Eagles have elevated Jordan Howard from the practice squad, a move that could be bad news for Miles Sanders. Howard averaged just 1.2 yards per attempt earlier this season for the Dolphins, but he also scored 4 TDs on 28 rush attempts. Sanders should still get the most work and be the top back, but Howard being active would add risk. Boston Scott would see his role decrease if Howard is active.

The Houston Texans have activated David Johnson, setting him up to play for the first time since Week 9. If Johnson is in fact active Sunday, which is now the most likely outcome, he will share RB work with Duke Johnson against the Colts.

Ballage was able to participate fully in practice on Friday following two limited sessions earlier in the week, so even though he’s officially been listed as questionable on the Chargers’ injury report for Sunday’s matchup against the New England Patriots, he appears likely to return from a one-game absence due to an ankle injury. Ballage had asserted himself as the clear lead back while Austin Ekeler was still on injured reserve, but with Ekeler apparently fully healthy and commanding a large portion of the running back touches in last week’s contest, the potential availability of Ballage likely affects the role of Joshua Kelly, who saw 23.7% of snaps and logged seven carries last time out, more so than Ekeler himself. In his first game back, Ekeler was able to play 76.3% of snaps while accumulating 14 carries to go along with a massive 31.4% target share, making him a tremendous daily fantasy option in Week 13 and moving forward.
As reported by: Daniel Popper via TwitterD'Andre Swift (illness) listed as questionable for Sunday
The Lions announced Thursday that Swift has officially cleared the NFL’s concussion protocol, but he’s still officially been listed as questionable for Sunday’s Week 13 matchup against the Chicago Bears because he was unable to practice the last two days as he battles a non-COVID-19 related illness. Interim head coach Darrell Bevell was optimistic earlier in the week that Swift would be able to play in this weekend’s contest, but it appears likely his status will come down to how he’s feeling over the weekend, and even if he’s cleared, it sounds as if he’ll be eased back into action. Prior to his head injury, Swift had taken over as the clear lead back in Lions running back committee, but if he’s unable to suit up, Adrian Peterson would become the favorite for early-down touches once again while Kerryon Johnson would serve as a change of pace and the primary pass-catcher out of the backfield.
As reported by: Tim Twentyman via TwitterJosh Jacobs (ankle) officially ruled out for Sunday
Jacobs was unable to practice for a third consecutive day, and he’s officially been ruled out of Sunday’s Week 13 matchup against the New York Jets due to an ankle injury he sustained during the previous game. Despite accumulating just seven carries for 27 rushing yards in last weekend’s loss to the Atlanta Falcons, there were several reports early in the week suggesting that Jacobs’ injury “looked worse than it actually is”, but his inability to get on the field during the week definitely indicated otherwise. Given the winnability of this game, it’s not surprising the Raiders have opted to hold Jacobs out as a precaution, and now that he’s on track to be inactive, Devontae Booker becomes the overwhelming favorite to lead the backfield by a significant margin while some combination of Theo Riddick and Jalen Richard mixing in as a change of pace.
As reported by: Vic Tafur via TwitterMatt Brieda placed on reserve/COVID-19 list Friday
Breida was absent from practice on Friday, and the Dolphins’ have now officially placed him on the reserve/COVID-19 list, making him ineligible to play in Sunday’s Week 13 matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals due to exposure or a potential infection of the virus. Since Salvon Ahmed and DeAndre Washington are both listed as doubtful on the injury report, the Dolphins are on pace to be extremely shorthanded in the backfield for a second consecutive week, especially if Myles Gaskin isn’t activated from injured reserve before the deadline on Saturday afternoon. However, all signs point to Gaskin being activated, and he would be a strong favorite to resume the previous workhorse role he had prior to his injury absence given the Dolphins’ hesitance to give Patrick Laird any meaningful work in the ground game. Laird would likely mix in as a change of pace in this hypothetical, but Gaskin would remain a tremendous daily fantasy option for all formats across the industry this weekend.
