Patriots activating RB Sony Michel off Injured Reserve
The Patriots are activating RB Sony Michel off injured reserve, meaning the Patriots RB situation could be even more crowded than usual. Damien Harris handled the clear bulk of RB carries last week and seems to have established himself as the top back, but Michel returning adds risk. Rex Burkhead and James White are both also factors for the Patriots.

Kamara was a spectator at practice on Thursday after being a limited participant for Wednesday’s session, and while there was initially some concern about his status for Week 11, he’s officially avoided an injury designation and will play in Sunday’matchup against the Atlanta Falcons despite dealing with the same foot injury that forced him to miss practice just a few short weeks again and was still able to play. There’s been no indication from head coach Sean Payton or members of the Saints’ media team that Kamara will be limited in any way this weekend, so he should be deployed as normal in daily fantasy contests around the industry.
As reported by: Mike Triplett via TwitterKenny Golladay (hip) and Danny Amendola (hip) ruled out for Sunday; Matthew Stafford (thumb) questionable
Golladay still hasn’t been able to practice since sustaining a hip injury back in Week 8, and he’s officially been ruled out for Sunday’s Week 11 matchup against the Carolina Panthers, marking the fourth consecutive game he’s been sidelined. In his absence, Marvin Jones Jr., Danny Amendola, and Marvin Hall have seen a large majority of the wide receiver snaps in three-wide sets, and even though he’s been volatile for fantasy purposes, Jones is still the undisputed top option for quarterback Matthew Stafford on the outside. However, with Amendola also unavailable, one of Quintez Cephus or Mohamed Sanu, who is a leading candidate to be elevated from the practice squad on Saturday, should step into a significant role in three-wide receiver formations on offense since Amendola logs a large portion of his snaps from the slot.

Edwards-Helaire popped up on the practice report mid-week, but he was able to return to a full practice on Friday and will play in Sunday night’s Week 11 matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders despite battling a non-COVID illness. There’s been no word of any positive tests out of the Kansas City organization, so Edwards-Helaire should be a full go for this weekend’s contest barring any unforeseen circumstances. The Chiefs’ backfield has morphed into somewhat of a three-headed backfield with Le’Veon Bell and Darrell Williams both seeing significant snaps over the last two weeks, so it’ll be interesting to see if head coach Andy Reid and the offensive staff reassessed the running back situation over the bye week or if this committee is something that should be expected moving forward.
As reported by: Adam Teicher via TwitterDavante Adams (ankle) will play on Sunday; Allen Lazard (core) questionable
Adams returned to practice on Friday after being a spectator for Thursday’s session, and he’s officially avoided an injury designation heading into the weekend, meaning he will play in Sunday’s Week 11 matchup against the Indianapolis Colts despite continuing to deal with an ankle injury. Adams status always depended on his participation in Friday’s practice, and now that he’s on track to be active, the Packers could be at full strength in the receiving corps for the first time all season with Allen Lazard having a chance to suit up for the first time in eight weeks following his recovery from a core injury. His presence on the field, even in a limited fashion, would be a significant hit to the projected fantasy value of Marquez Valdes-Scantling, who has been the beneficiary of a few monster fantasy performances while Lazard has been sidelined.
As reported by: Tom Pelissero via Twitter Other tagged players: Allen LazardJack Doyle (concussion) listed as questionable for Sunday
Doyle was able to return to practice for the first time this week on Thursday, and despite the questionable designation on the Colts’ injury report, is now officially on track to play in Sunday’s Week 11 matchup against the Green Bay Packers after missing one game due to a concussion. His likely return to the field is a downgrade to the projected fantasy value of Trey Burton and Mo Alie-Cox, who were the two lone tight ends for the Colts in last Thursday’s win over the Tennessee Titans in primetime. Burton continues to lead the tight end group with a 12.7% target share, but make no mistake, this is still a full-blown committee as evidenced by Alie-Cox running 22 routes to Burton’s 19 in the previous game, which significantly lowers each players’ floor and ceilings for daily fantasy formats across the industry.
As reported by: the Indianapolis Colts via TwitterD'Andre Swift (concussion) officially ruled out for Sunday
Despite practicing fully on Wednesday, Swift entered the NFL’s concussion protocol on Thursday and he has officially been ruled out of Sunday’s Week 11 matchup against the Carolina Panthers as he continues to experience concussion symptoms. It’s still unclear when exactly Swift sustained the concussion, but he was always a longshot to clear the necessary hurdles in just a couple of days to get the go-ahead for this weekend’s contest. This news comes just one week after Swift was finally able to seize control of the workhorse role in this Detroit backfield, and now that he’s on track to be inactive, Adrian Peterson and Kerryon Johnson will be in line to split the running back work as has been reported by several Lions’ beat reporters.
As reported by: Chris Burke via TwitterCalvin Ridley (foot) cleared to play on Sunday
Ridley was able to be a limited participant in practice all three days this week, and he will go without an injury designation on the Falcons’ injury report for Sunday’s Week 11 matchup against the New Orleans Saints, signaling his return from a one-game absence due to a foot injury. There’s been no indication from interim head coach Raheem Morris or the team’s media staff that Ridley will be limited in this weekend’s contest, so he should be a full go and utilized as normal in daily fantasy formats across the industry. His return to the field definitely puts a significant dent in the projected target share of Julio Jones, while Olamide Zaccheus and Christian Blake will go back to their usual depth wide receiver roles following Zaccheus’ stellar fantasy performance on 29 routes and six targets back in Week 9.
As reported by: Jason Butt via TwitterJoe Mixon (foot) officially ruled out for Sunday
Mixon still hasn’t practiced since sustaining a foot injury back in Week 6, and he’s already officially been ruled out of Sunday’s Week 11 matchup against the Washington Football Team, marking the fourth straight game he’s been sidelined. Now that Mixon is set to be inactive once again, Gio Bernard should undoubtedly remain in a similar lead back role given his prowess in the passing game out of the backfield. In the previous contests, Bernard easily out-snapped backup running back Semaje Perine with a 71.0% snap rate, but his slim lead in the backfield carries last time out was the most concerning sign for his viability in daily fantasy formats moving forward, as he accumulated 15 carries to Perine’s 10 and only ran 13 routes on passing downs despite a solid 11.4% target share.
As reported by: Ben Raby via TwitterTeddy Bridgewater (knee) will be a game-time decision on Sunday
Bridgewater was able to do more in practice on Friday, and the Panthers haven’t given up on the possibility of him playing in Sunday’s Week 11 matchup against the Detroit Lions as he continues to battle through a knee injury he sustained in the previous game. Bridgewater and the team were relieved that the injury wasn’t as serious as first believed, but it would still be fairly surprising if the Panthers don’t err on the side of caution and hold their starting quarterback out of this weekend’s contest. If that hypothetical situation plays out, P.J. Walker would be the leading candidate to receive the start under center, but head coach Matt Rhule has refused to confirm who would start at the quarterback position if Bridgewater is ultimately inactive, leaving open the door for Will Grier to start or possibly split snaps with Walker.
As reported by: Joe Person via TwitterLaviska Shenault (hamstring) and James O'Shaughnessy (knee) ruled out for Sunday
Shenault was able to put in a limited session every day at practice this week, but he’s still going to be held out and won’t play in Sunday’s Week 11 matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers due to a hamstring injury that has now forced him to miss two games, while O’Shaughnessy also remains sidelined with a knee injury. The absence of Shenault will likely give Chris Conley another opportunity to step into a top-three wide receiver role, and even though Gardner Minshew is no longer under center because of injury and performance-related reason, Conley was still able to accrue eight targets each of the last two weeks, good for a 22.3% target share. However, DJ Chark still leads the Jaguars with a 20.4% target share on the season, and he still remains the top option from this passing attack outside of a dart throw with Conley in daily fantasy tournament formats this weekend.
As reported by: John Oehser via Twitter Other tagged players: James O'ShaughnessyTaysom Hill will start at QB for the Saints on Sunday; Jameis Winston will only be the backup
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Diana Russini, the Saints will go with Hill as their starting quarterback for Sunday’s Week 11 matchup against the Atlanta Falcons with Drew Brees heading to injured reserve with several fractured ribs and a collapsed lung. On top of that initial report, Jameis Winston is also expected to serve solely as the backup quarterback for this weekend’s contest, which means he won’t have any designated offensives packages and is news that significantly raises the floor and ceiling of Hill for all daily fantasy formats. When asked at his post-practice Zoom conference, head coach Sean Payton refused to confirm who his starting quarterback will be, but where there’s smoke, there’s fire, and barring some unforeseen change, Hill should see nearly every snap at quarterback for the New Orleans offense on Sunday afternoon.
As reported by: Adam Schefter via Twitter Other tagged players: Jameis WinstonCardinals TE Darrell Daniels (ankle) officially inactive Thursday night
Daniels was given a questionable designation on the Cardinals’ injury report, and he’s officially been ruled out of Thursday night’s Week 11 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks due to an ankle injury. Daniels has run behind Dan Arnold and Maxx Williams each of the previous two weeks, so his absence from the tight end rotation shouldn’t have too much of an impact on the projected fantasy output of Arnold or Williams this evening. Look for Evan Baylis to crack the active roster for tonight’s contest and assume the third-string tight end duties if needed.
As reported by: Katherine Fitzgerald via TwitterTyler Lockett (knee) officially active Thursday night
Lockett returned to practice on Wednesday and will officially be active for Thursday night’s Week 11 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals despite previously being listed as questionable on the Seahawks’ injury report due to a knee issue. Earlier in the week, head coach Pete Carroll didn’t go into further detail about the potential severity of Lockett’s knee injury, but if Lockett is at less than full health, he’ll have an even lower floor for fantasy purposes than normal. If Lockett is limited in any way, David Moore would more than likely step into the primary wide receiver role opposite of DK Metcalf on the outside, but it’d be interesting to see if he or Freddie Swain assume most of the vacated slot routes in that hypothetical, as Lockett has run well over 50% of his routes from the slot this season.
As reported by: Curtis Crabtree via TwitterChris Carson (foot) and Travis Homer (wrist) officially inactive Thursday night
Homer was unable to practice fully this week, and he’s officially been ruled out of Thursday night’s Week 11 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals after previously being listed as questionable on the Cardinals’ injury report due to an injured wrist and hand. With Chris Carson also inactive once again, Seattle is on track to have a backfield consisting of Carlos Hyde, DeeJay Dallas, and Bo Scarbrough since Alex Collins wasn’t elevated from the practice squad despite coming off a Week 10 performance where he led the Seahawks backfield with 11 carries and a 52.5% snap rate. Assuming Hyde is anywhere close to full health, he will be the favorite by a significant margin to lead the aforementioned trio in snaps and touches until Carson is able to return to the field, likely as soon as Week 12.
