Kenny Golladay (hamstring) doesn't participate in individual drills Thursday
Golladay was not participating in individual drills during the window of practice that is open to the media on Thursday, but head coach Matt Patricia later clarified on his Zoom conference call that Golladay would most likely be listed as a limited participant for today’s practice. Patricia later went on to reveal that the team is just being cautious with Golladay, so as long as he manages to get in a full or close-to-full practice on Friday, there shouldn’t be too much concern about his availability for the season opener against the Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon. However, if his injury status were to take a turn for the worse, Marvin Jones Jr. would become a stellar daily fantasy option at an increased target volume, while Danny Amendola and T.J. Hockensen would also likely see a few more passes headed their way with no clear backup to Golladay on the outside at wide receiver.
As reported by: Chris Burke via TwitterDavid Montgomery (groin) limited in practice Wednesday
Montgomery returned to practice in a limited fashion on Wednesday, putting him back on track to suit up for Sunday’s season opener against the Detroit Lions despite battling a groin injury. Montgomery is the only true running back on the Bears roster other than third-stringer Ryan Nall, so it probably shouldn’t be so surprising that the team expects him to be available for Week 1’s contest. The likely presence of Montgomery in the backfield rotation is a huge hit to the projected touch volume of Tarik Cohen, who had been in line to receive more carries on top of his usual pass-catching and third-down roles.
As reported by: Adam Caplan via TwitterKenny Golladay (hamstring), Danny Amendola (hamstring), and D'Andre Swift (hip) limited in practice Wednesday
Golladay, Amendola, and Swift are the most notable of a lengthy practice report submitted by the Detroit Lions on Wednesday as each offensive skill player was listed as a limited participant with their respective ailments. It’s only Wednesday, so as long as they manage to get in a full practice before Friday, there shouldn’t be too much concern about any of their availabilities for the season opener against the Chicago Bears on Sunday afternoon. However, Swift will still be a difficult player to target in daily fantasy formats in Week 1 given the uncertainty of his role and the current logjam in the backfield that just welcomed Adrian Peterson to the mix late last week. Kerryon Johnson is penciled in as the “starting” running back for Detroit as of now, but there’s been plenty of beat writer speculation that Peterson may lead the backfield in carries once the dust settles at the end of the week.
As reported by: Justin Rogers via Twitter Other tagged players: Danny Amendola, D'Andre SwiftMiles Sanders (hamstring) and Jalen Reagor (shoulder) limited in practice Wednesday
Sanders and Reagor both returned to practice Wednesday and have been listed as limited participants on the Eagles’ practice report. Earlier in the day, head coach Doug Pederson still referred to Sanders as day-to-day and even admitted to media members on the Zoom conference call that the team may need to ease Sanders into his typical starting workload after missing well over three weeks of camp. However, it’d be extremely surprising if Sanders is active for Sunday’s season opener against the Washington Football Team and didn’t see the lions share of the backfield touches with Boston Scott and Corey Clement only mixing in on occasion. As for Reagor, most beat writers were surprised that he seemed to be “doing everything” at Wednesday’s practice after he was previously reported to be on track to make his NFL debut in Week 2 because of a torn labrum in his shoulder. If Reagor is active, his presence would mostly be a detriment to Greg Ward, who would project to handle a majority of the slot routes with Reagor sidelined, though it’d mostly be a boon to Carson Wentz’s appeal in daily fantasy formats with another deep threat on the outside opposite of DeSean Jackson.
As reported by: the Philadelphia Eagles via Twitter Other tagged players: Jalen ReagorAmari Cooper (hamstring) practices in full Wednesday
Cooper returned to practice Monday and was able to fully participate in team drills after missing several practices leading up to this week. The fact that he was able to get in a full practice on Wednesday is a great sign for his availability for Sunday’s season opener against the Los Angeles Rams, and barring any type of downgrade in status, he should be deployed as he normally would be in daily fantasy formats in a difficult individual matchup with Jalen Ramsey.
As reported by: Michael Gehlken via TwitterBrandon Cooks (quad) officially listed as questionable for Thursday
The Texans didn’t practice Wednesday, but Cooks has been listed as questionable on the official for Thursday’s season opener against the Kansas City Chiefs after previously being a non-participant in Tuesday’s practice with a quad injury. The Texans have managed Cooks workload all training camp, so the DNP may not be a great indication that he is in danger of missing tomorrow’s game, though the downgrade in status is definitely a detriment on the likeliness he is able to suit up. If Cooks does end up inactive or on a snap count, expect Kenny Stills to see more routes on the outside opposite of Will Fuller, who would be the main target beneficiary in Cooks’ hypothetical absence.
As reported by: Aaron Reiss via TwitterMike Evans (undisclosed) doesn't practice Wednesday, could be a game-time decision with a "soft tissue" injury
Evans has an undisclosed soft tissue injury that could jeopardize his availability for Sunday’s matchup against the New Orleans Saints after missing both of the Buccaneers’ practices on Tuesday and Wednesday, respectively. Head coach Bruce Arians called Evans “day-to-day”, and that if he doesn’t practice Friday, the team is willing to wait on making a final determination on his status on Sunday morning when inactive lists are required to be submitted. If Evans is unable to suit up or is limited to a snap count, Justin Watson and Scotty Miller should be expected to split the leftover workload opposite of Chris Godwin or in the slot. However, the Bucs are one of several teams that are projected to run a substantial amount of 12-personnel packages, which could also lead to more routes for Rob Gronkowski and OJ Howard in this hypothetical scenario.
As reported by: Jenna Laine via TwitterBreshad Perriman (knee) and Denzel Mims (hamstring) practicing in full Wednesday
According to Jets head coach Adam Gase, both Perriman and Mims are expected to be full participants in practice on Wednesday after either not participating or being limited in team drills over the course of the last week. This is certainly a positive sign for each wideouts availability for Week 1, but at least from the season’s outset, Mims appears to be behind Chris Hogan on the receiver depth chart, while Perriman is likely to start on the outside opposite of him. However, Jamison Crowder is still the heavy favorite to lead the Jets in targets not only this week but for the duration of the 2020 season, making him the top wide receiver to pair with Sam Darnold in daily fantasy tournament formats, if that’s something one would be interested in doing.
As reported by: Rich Cimini via Twitter Other tagged players: Denzel MimsBrandin Cooks (quad) doesn't participate in practice Tuesday
Cooks did not participate in the Texans’ practice on Tuesday afternoon after previously being listed as a limited participant on Monday with a quad injury. The Texans have managed Cooks workload all training camp, so the DNP may not be an indication he is in danger of missing Thursday’s season opener, but his status on Wednesday’s injury report will be a determining factor on the likeliness he is able to suit up the following evening. If Cooks does end up inactive or on a snap count, expect Kenny Stills to see more routes on the outside opposite of Will Fuller, who would be the main target beneficiary in Cooks’ hypothetical absence.
As reported by: Aaron Reiss via TwitterQ - Week to Week - Lower Body Injury
Sanders projects as a potential breakout candidate, but this injury designation casts some doubt on his week 1 availability. It’s described only as “lower-body”, which has a wide range of possibilities. Boston Scott has the most to gain if he misses the contest vs. WAS, but current expectations are optimistic he’ll be ready to roll

Every Chiefs Player Healthy for Super Bowl
Every Chiefs player practiced fully Friday and is available for the Super Bowl. The Chiefs will take on a 49ers team that is also fully healthy, with every player available for both teams.
As reported by: Adam TeicherTevin Coleman (Shoulder) Full Practice Participant Friday, Will Play in Super Bowl
Coleman practiced fully on Friday for the first time this week and is going to be available for the Super Bowl. He had been limited by a dislocated shoulder injured in the conference championship round. Raheem Mostert is coming off a huge game, but his touches could be limited by Coleman’s return.
As reported by: Nick Wagoner Other tagged players: Raheem MostertTevin Coleman (Shoulder) Limited in Practice Thursday
Coleman was limited for a second consecutive practice with a shoulder injury. He does have a good chance to play, although the extent of his role won’t be clear. He will also carry risk of re-aggravating the injury during the Super Bowl.
As reported by: Nick Wagoner Other tagged players: Raheem MostertTevin Coleman (Shoulder) Limited in Practice Wednesday
Coleman was able to return to practice Wednesday in a limited fashion. He is working through a dislocated shoulder injury suffered in the conference championship round. Raheem Mostert had a monster game after Coleman left, and would be in a great position again if Coleman is out. The 49ers’ running back situation becomes more complicated if Coleman is able to play. Unfortunately, there is a good chance that Coleman is a game-time decision.
