Evan Engram (Foot), Rhett Ellison (Concussion) Ruled Out for Sunday
Both Evan Engram and Rhett Ellison have been ruled out for Sunday. This sets up Kaden Smith to be the top TE for the Giants Sunday, making him an interesting value play.

Winston is dealing with a thumb injury on his throwing hand and a minor knee injury, but he is going to play Sunday for the Buccaneers. He was able to throw a football in practice today, and the Bucs have a good matchup against the Lions.

Conviction plays has typically been reserved for showmanship and off the board options, but I feel Carson is an even higher quality play than his high ownership implies. Volume is paramount in NFL DFS, and Carson will get tons it against a defense that has been inefficient defending the run. He can be expected to tally 70% of the Seahawks carries, as he did last week in a game in which they were behind. They are favorites with a high team total this week, so it would shocking to see less. As far as targets go, you can pencil in Carson for at least 4 to 5 of those. Matchup wise, he faces a defense that has stacked the box on early downs with 8+ defenders more than any other team. Of course, that has done them no good at 4.6 YPC (5th), 4 TD (T2), and 22 first downs allowed on those early downs (1st). Carson has also been fantastic at evading tackles and creating yards for himself this season, which helps with additional bodies in the box. Putting the nail in the coffin, Carolina ranks 1st in expected points added to the run and rush TD ratio allowed. So he should be efficient on early downs, get touches at a DFS viable level, and be a massive favorite to reach the end zone at least once. I’ll play him for sure as I chase the FanDuel Fan Championship this weekend, an I have conviction for him on all sites.
WR Benefitting From Injury
With Marvin Jones Jr. heading to IR, the Lions passing attack opens up a few extra targets, and with Amendola seeing 8 targets in each of David Blough’s two games under center he looks to be a strong candidate to step up. This is obviously a great matchup against the Buccaneers who struggle to defend the pass, but also score a lot of points and could force the Lions to have to air it out as well. Amendola is much better on sites with full PPR scoring, but his cheap price tag makes him viable across the industry.
This RB Is Too Cheap For His Usage
Despite David Johnson getting in the end zone last week and Chase Edmonds returning, this continues to be Kenyan Drake’s backfield – this is apparent thanks to him receiving 65% of the snaps and 50% of the teams carries. Drake gets the easiest matchup he has seen since joining the Cardinals as the face the Browns at home. Drake continues to be heavily involved in the passing game as well, seeing 26 targets in his 5 games as a Cardinal. This receiving upside paired with his dominance over the rushing market share gives Drake a nice floor/upside combo in a good offense that could find themselves in a shootout this weekend.
Bell-cow RB in Good Matchup
The Chargers have been no run stopping defense so far this season and now they have a date with one of the top rushing attacks in the NFL. The Chargers are in the bottom 20 of RB fantasy points against, and are 23rd in rush DVOA, so its safe to say this is a beatable matchup for Dalvin Cook here who continues to be the focal point of this Vikings offense. With some injury concern and teammate Adam Thielen returning, some might look away from Cook this week. However, with competent backup Alexander Mattison questionable this week after missing the first two practices of the week due to an ankle injury, his usage could be added to Cook’s workload as well. While Dalvin still saw 18 carries in the blowout win over Detroit last week, Mattison took 14 carries away, and the week before that had 5 targets. So if Mattison is to sit here, Cook’s 16-18 touch floor gets a little safer in a good matchup.
Jaleel Scott Inactive Tonight for Ravens
Scott is inactive tonight for the Ravens. He was not expected to have a role in the offense even if active.
As reported by: Baltimore RavensLamar Jackson, Mark Andrews Both Active Tonight vs Jets
Both Jackson and Andrews were questionable coming into tonight but will play. They are both elite options in a favorable match-up against the Jets.
As reported by: Baltimore Ravens Other tagged players: Mark AndrewsTy Montgomery Active, Demaryius Thomas Inactive Thursday Night
Montgomery is active tonight and will be the Jets’ backup running back. Thomas being inactive will open up some targets for the other WRs, but they will also face more defensive attention. The Jets’ implied total is just 13.5 at this point, so there is likely limited production available.

Gerald Everett did not practice Thursday, his second straight missed practice. He appears unlikely to play this week, which would leave Tyler Higbee in a great situation as the Rams’ top TE.
