Matthew Stafford (Hip/Back), Ty Johnson (Concussion) Both Do Not Practice Wednesday
Both Stafford and Johnson were out of practice Wednesday, putting both their statuses in question for Sunday.
As reported by: Tim Twentyman Other tagged players: Ty Johnson, Jeff DriskelDavid Montgomery (Ankle) Limited in Practice Wednesday
This was a new injury designation for Montgomery, apparently picked up during the Bears’ last game. He has had at least 17 touches each of the past three games, so there could be an element of rest to his limited participation. His Thursday participation is important to monitor.
As reported by: Chicago Bears PRTrey Burton (Calf) Does Not Practice Wednesday
Burton did not practice Wednesday after leaving the Bears’ last game early with a calf injury. Even when healthy, Burton has been a disappointment this season, failing to score a TD or top 20 yards in any game. TE Ben Braunecker did manage to catch an 18-yard TD on his only target last week, and he’d be the top TE for the Bears if Burton is out.
As reported by: Chicago Bears PR Other tagged players: Ben BrauneckerVernon Davis Remains in Concussion Protocol; Chris Thompson (Toe) Week-to-Week
Both Vernon Davis and Chris Thompson’s extended absences could continue for at least one more week. Sprinkle will continue to see more targets if Davis is out, while Guice is returning from IR and would fill some of Thompson’s role at RB, in particular as a receiving back.
As reported by: Kareem Copeland Other tagged players: Chris Thompson, Derrius Guice, Jeremy SprinkleChristian McCaffrey (Foot) Does Not Practice Wednesday; Will Play Sunday
The Panthers are simply giving some rest to their star RB, and there is no risk of him not playing this week. The injury on the report did change from his knee to his foot, but either way this was really a rest day.
As reported by: Steve ReedRicky Seals-Jones (Knee) Questionable Thursday
Seals-Jones was limited Monday and Tuesday before practicing fully Wednesday. He did miss last week’s game, so there is still a risk of him sitting out.
As reported by: Nate Ulrich Other tagged players: Demetrius HarrisRyan Switzer, Benny Snell Jr. and Rosie Nix Ruled Out Thursday
Switzer has been primarily a return man this season, while Snell and Nix were already behind James Conner, Trey Edmunds and Jaylen Samuels for touches.
As reported by: Brooke Pryor Other tagged players: Benny Snell, Roosevelt NixAmari Cooper (Knee) Does Not Practice Wednesday, Still Expected to Play Sunday
The Cowboys are being cautious with Cooper, giving him Wednesday off from practice. He is still expected to play Sunday without any type of injury limitation. Cooper sat out last Thursday’s practice and finished with 147 yards and a TD on 11 catches last game.
As reported by: Todd ArcherT.Y. Hilton (Calf) Will Not Practice Wednesday
Hilton appears unlikely to play Sunday. He has missed the last two games and was not able to practice Wednesday.
As reported by: Mike ChappellDrew Sample (Ankle) Ruled Out Sunday
Sample has been ruled out Sunday. He is not heavily involved in the passing game, and therefore Eifert and Uzomah are not significantly impacted.
As reported by: Geoff Hobson Other tagged players: Tyler Eifert, C.J. UzomahA.J. Green (Ankle) Does Not Practice Wednesday
Green continues to not be able to practice. He is unlikely to play this week, and his season could be over given the lingering nature of his injury.
As reported by: Geoff HobsonAustin Hooper (MCL Sprain) Reportedly Expected to Miss Around 1 Month
Hooper is likely to miss significant time with his MCL sprain, with the initial timeline considered to be about one month. Jaeden Graham and Luke Stocker will try to fill the void, although neither have the upside of Hooper.
It is worth noting that coach Dan Quinn would not confirm the timeline for Hooper’s injury, even refusing to rule him out for this week.

Jeffery injured his ankle during the Eagles’ Week 9 win over the Bears. The Eagles had a bye Week 10, but the break was not enough for Jeffery to fully heal.
As reported by: Eliot Shorr-ParksUnderpriced + Good Matchup
Once price is taken into consideration Brian Hill pops as the top overall play on the slate. Devonta Freeman left Week 10’s game against the Saints early and is unlikely to suit up against the Panthers porous run defense in Week 11. While inefficient, Hill racked up 21 touches and a touchdown against the Saints in Freeman’s absence and now finds himself in a much better matchup against a Carolina run defense that ranks dead last in rush-defense DVOA. Hill is underpriced for his expected expanded role and the fact the he gets an excellent matchup is just the cherry on top.
Too Cheap For His Role
Brian Hill is not the most talented player in the NFL, but his opportunity is too good to pass up for his current price tag. Devonta Freeman is unlikely to play this week after getting injured in Week 10, while Ito Smith is already on IR. That leaves Hill to handle primary backfield duties in a matchup against a Panthers team that has been hemorrhaging production to opposing running games over the last few weeks. Tennessee put up 5.8 YPC against them, and Green Bay followed that up with 6.0 YPC in the snow at Lambeau a week ago. Hill got 20 carries last week and is simply far too cheap to ignore. He’s your top value on the board assuming Freeman sits.
