Demaryius Thomas (Hamstring) Does Not Practice, Josh Bellamy (Shoulder) Limited Wednesday
Thomas hasn’t played since Week 2, so he is still doubtful for this upcoming week. Bellamy was out Week 4 and didn’t take a single offensive snap Week 3, so he is not a major DFS factor.

JuJu Smith-Schuster, James Conner and Vance McDonald all did not practice Wednesday. Smith-Schuster and Conner both played Monday night, so this could be partially rest. McDonald missed last game but is expected to have a good chance to return this week.

Gallup returned to practice and was able to complete more of the practice than originally expected. His teammates spoke highly of his performance today, and Gallup is expected to play as long as he doesn’t re-aggravate the injury this week.

Allen is still in the concussion protocol but was able to practice Wednesday in a limited capacity. He will obviously need to clear the concussion protocol before playing, but he is trending the right direction. Matt Barkley will start if Allen is still out.

It is a three-QB competition for the starting spot Week 5, and Keenum being in a boot makes it unlikely he will get the spot. McCoy is considered the most likely option if healthy, so his participation in practice is a good sign.

Workload is king and there isn’t a player with a bigger workload in the league than Christian McCaffrey. McCaffrey had 37 (!!) touches last week and is averaging 21.5 carries and 7.75 targets per game this season. McCaffrey’s ability to rack up fantasy points via the ground + the air is unrivaled and gives him a tremendous floor and ceiling combination on a weekly basis, regardless of opponent.
Stephen Gostkowski Placed on IR
Gostkowski has been placed on the IR and the Patriots brought in kickers to tryout to replace him. Something was clearly wrong with Gostkowski, as he has already set a career high with 4 missed extra points. Adam Schefter later reported that the injury is a left hip injury that requires season-ending surgery.

Stefon Diggs was not at the Vikings practice Wednesday, and one Vikings’ official reportedly did not know the reason. Whether it is a personal issue or an injury, his status will need to be monitored the rest of this week.
